Worked in bars/ restaurants for 12 years, been out for 4. It still sends me into fit of rage hearing drunk middle aged people say "I know the owner" to excuse their terrible behavior. It's a lie like 3/4 of the time and such a shitty tactic to leverage power over people liable for your safety whether it's true or not. I know the owners of plenty of restaurants through my years in the industry and would never DREAM of identifying myself as one of their associates while being told I'm creating a problem for their business

I've been called "sir" many times throughout my life and have never once taken issue with it. It seems to be predominantly a baby boomer trait.
I at one point was a hard core alcoholic. I was depressed and mentally not well.i coped by drinking. Long story short it took being arrested to get the ball rolling for me to get help. For about a year and a half after my arrest, the arresting office and the judge would often check in on me and see how I was doing. By that point i had gotten help at the Veterans Affairs hospital with treatment in alcohol abuse and PTSD dual diagnosis program. The officer that arrested me and the judge that just wanted to try and help me, they saved my life. Sometimes we just need good people in positions of authority or close family or friends to jump in and make us see what we are doing is wrong, dangerous, could be harmful or deadly to ourselves, loved ones, or the community. I truly hope this lady looks into the mental health options that the officer is trying to offer her. Thank you to those officers who were there for this lady that night.

God bless you. Just put one foot in front of the other and keep on moving away from alcohol. Don’t move on to weed either, or anything else. Being strait and true is the only path you need.

Her superior attitude was still sickening especially because she's apparently blind to how unjustified it is. Who cares who you know or how much money you have when you're such a mess that a friend has to call the cops on you to get you trespassed from her business. And yet she still thinks she's better than the officers and has absolutely no shame about the pathetic situation most people would be mortified to be in.

That's what I wondered too. Also, did the owner let her know the uber was canceled? Owner knew Ma'am enough to have her daughter's #, so did why didn't owner try to call daughter before calling the cops? I kinda wonder if the three folks inside the building were buzzed. I'm even rewatching this to see if I missed something.
Because all she's doing is sitting there. Waiting for the Uber that the owners said they called for her. It's not doing anything wrong. She's not driving. She's not bothering anybody. They're, nice enough to call an Uber tell her to wait outside then cancel it and not tell her. They just called the cops instead.
@@sandylee6025I have a feeling that she made up that story. If the place has been closed for 3 hours I think the Uber would have been there 3 hours ago. That is probably why the owners called the law on her, because she's not helping herself and they are not going to pay for her ride to Timbuktu
@sandylee6025 she may not be bothering anyone but the owners want her removed from the property. That is why the police are there, and I bet they have had problems with her before. Plus, it looks like it's pretty cold there they probably don't want to find a Frozen dead body in the morning.

@@mysocialstreamseven her daughter doesn't speak to her nor want to see her. That must tell you something. Easy for you to have pity for her, because you don't know her. Her daughter does.
@@mysocialstreams It's not the officer's job to chauffeur drunks home, however, I could possibly see it being done in some cases. Definitely not in cases like this though. The officer gave her plenty of opportunity to call someone. It was clear they did not want to arrest her. Perhaps if she would have stayed calm, semi-reasonable (some drunks do), didn't make threats, etc. they would have offered a ride. I do not think they were "un-honorable" in the least. In fact, I think they were more than patient with this obnoxious drunk. Additionally, we need to consider each situation .The condition of the person, are they co-operative & respectful? Are they in danger, possibly stranded on a highway or out in the boonies or stranded without any money, phone or family/friend to pick them up, etc. The locale can also be a factor in any stop. How far from her location was her residence? It could have been out of their jurisdiction. There could also be official policies in place for these situations that vary in counties & states considering that a courtesy ride can take a much needed officer out of the field for an extended period of time which could easily happen in a small or big city. So many factors could play into this scenario. In this case, Mom, needed a wake up call per the daughter. Hopefully she was open to getting the help she needs.

It's wonderful that yyou changed your life. Yeah sure the judge and that cop helped but the need for a change was in your soul - it only worked because you worked on yourself. Be grateful, but even more - be proud of yourself!
Wow. A cop and a judge. Well those types of judges are almost gone.
These officers will have SO much fun playing these officer videos in court for the ADA and the Judge.
