@@jodiforeman3314Well (and I haven't watched this part just yet so this is just an assumption), there isn't really enough evidence of child abuse so far so even though they know it might be worse at home, they can't say it is because they don't have actual concrete evidence. It's unfair but it's how you avoid other people who are innocent being jailed for something they didn't do.

I’m 60 and my mom damaged me emotionally and mentally. It took years, literal years, to admit that I hate her and for what she did to me. She died when I was 22 and it took almost 40 years to get her hold off of me. Words are weapons and cut deep.

The way she talked to her children is the same way her dad spoke to her. I’ll never understand how children are abused and grow up to abuse their own children in different ways.
Because these adults don't adress their own issues before they have kids. And then they crack when children are stressful to raise.
And even if they think they're not like their parents they tend to act similar to them. That's why there's even a saying describing this phenomenon, the cycle of abuse.
Right like just because you're abused as a child doesn't excuse you to put the same trauma to ur kids, just don't get kids if you're trauma is not yet resolved 😭 ✋
@@zimacva3023 Unfortunately, abuse is an endless cycle. Most of the fucked up people in the world are that way because of trauma they received from others. Yea there's the occasional person thats just evil for no reason, but most are traumatized people that couldn't get the proper help or didn't take the time to work on themselves and reflect. And then end up starting the same cycle of abuse that was done to them. I was abused horribly in a 4 year relationship with my first girlfriend, and I really do not know how I would've turned out if I didn't seek treatment and self reflect on those things as much as I did. Now i'm in a happy relationship and have been for 2 years. I have cptsd and always will, but I have so many coping mechanisms in place that I am able to function like a normal heathy adult. It takes work, and a lot of people don't want to do that sadly

The worst people in the world are having kids, poor souls have to grow up with parents like that
- responsible people are suffering right now and many don't feel it right to have kids when they are not stable. That kind of thinking doesn't work with irresponsible people and hood trash, they just keep pumping out more and since most remember their single mother celebrating everytime the government cheque came for her as a reward for spreading her legs without thinking and see having babies as the standard way to secure basic resources.
Being irresponsible is one of the most important aspect to having kids. No wonder the higher the education level the less kids people have 😂

There was a DCFS case on her because of this incident. She was found guilty.

Living with an unmedicated bipolar parent is a harrowing life. Those children should be in the care of stable family members. The mum needs indepth mental health intervention. Sad situation, those children need help.

@@snowwhite7571 you make it sound like both her kids were from SA. she did have control. she is a victim of her father allegedly, but its pretty hard to trust a person like this, and her dad was law enforcement. hard to feel any sympathy for a person who would abuse her children to punish the officers. everyone has trauma, most of us dont try to make more trauma in the world, especially children. i heard she lost the kids, and i think its probably for the best.
My mother was chronically mentally ill and we children paid the price for it. 50 plus years later and nothing has changed when it comes to protecting children from mentally ill parent's. The children should have been removed from the situation within minutes of realising the mother was incoherent instead, she was able to start up the vehicle again. Luckily she was too incoherent to speed off with the children and endanger them further. I have all the compassion in the world for the mother and I hope she was able to get it together but..... the children's safety needs to be the priority.
For what it's worth, in another comment someone mentioned that Child Protective Services had intervened, although they didn't know what the nature of the intervention was.
If you look her up, she got arrested this year for using her 2 yr old daughter as a shield in a police standoff. She's clearly psycho and i hope the kids are with someone who will take good care of them!

Yeah man like there are reasons and then there are excuses... I believe perhaps her trauma could be the reason she behaves this way but it sure as hell isn't an excuse. Not saying everyone with trauma behaves this way it's just that this could be one of the many reasons she behaves this way. Another extremely probable reason is actually her bipolar disorder... As a bipolar person, I certainly could tell that she was probably having an episode. The manic and aggressive actions towards the cop and kids signals how much she definitely needs meds as soon as possible. I have been a victim of SA myself and I know how much of a struggle it is to deal with now 2 mental issues... THIS, however - is absolutely no excuse. You need the meds, period.

Most upsetting moment: Her repeatedly growl/yelling at her daughter to “ask them again!” Without even pausing to let her do it. And then her daughter with the shaky voice trying to be brave and do what her mom was making her do. The little girl tried so hard to say it with her chest and everything. I hated that. Poor little girls. This is lasting trauma. 😞

When the cops were called to my school, but the school, I was questioned in front of my abusive ‘Father.’ He did the same thing. He would literally show his teeth to me if I didn’t shut up and comply with his intimidation. Sadly, even though there was a cop right there, I was more afraid of my Father being there. ALWAYS separate the child from the parent so a child feels safe to say what is really going on.

I was in 4th grade around maybe March or so. My mom "fell asleep/nodded off" in Pasadena/Deer Park in Texas. Her driver side tires went up and rode on the freeway's center median. I BEGGED her to pull over and to let me go teetee and she finally did. I called my grandad (her dad) but he didn't answer. He always paid for and fixed all her problems. I had to call my dad (who she had divorced) and ask him to come. My whole life, he was my hero. Anyway, the gas station attendant, (and later found out also my step-mom) called the cops. They came, and took me to the station until my dad got there. My mom made a lot of mistakes, but I really hope she's in Heaven waiting on me anyways. In the same form as she was at 30

the mother obviously isn’t the best person, but from what she said abt her father, i can see that some awful things have brought her to this place. the pain she has inflicted on other is unacceptable, but the pain the she’s experienced that brought her to this point is also unacceptable. i hope she one day gets to a better healthy place and hopefully will be able to be the mother her kids deserve or have the life that she deserves. i hope her kids grow healthy and strong and don’t let this stop them from being excellent, much like how their mom let her traumas stop her from excelling.
Fun fact, but sexual assault any time in your life can cause severe PTSD and bipolar disorders. Bipolar and PTSD conditions when in severe mania or psychotic episodes can enlarge your pupils, and can cause you to disassociate so much you can lose days of memory depending on what's going on and what's being done. So yes, you can in fact become this way from certain disorders without drug or alcohol or any form of anything. It's not accurate to say drugs or other substances is the only way to get this way. Your brain changes on a physical level, when you experience abuse. And it's extremely likely that she's got real physical and psychological reasons for this since it seems that severe trauma is involved. It's also important to note that not a lot of psychiatrists see you for longer than 15 minutes once every several months while being treated medically for some conditions. And many therapists go off the path of tested methods to help severe trauma, which leads to improper treatment and a continuation of poor behavior patterns, there are specific therapies to help mend the damage trauma does to your brain, and it's important to get two steps of treatment regardless of your reason for PTSD or trauma related psychiatric illnesses or it will not get better over time. Trauma related bipolar, or severe nutrient deficiencies are the only truly "cureable" types of bipolar currently, others must be maintained long-term with medication and therapy.
I was misdiagnosed as bipolar, when I had severe PTSD. I had a psychotic break that I cannot remember, was treated for years, never tested for bipolar, and then was taken off medication for my psychiatrist to test for two years if id go downhill. I gotta say I'm really impressed with how the police handled this. They also really tried to see it as a mental health issue rather than a drug issue. Which doesn't always happen.
