Thanks for the help, I treid to change mine . Got new one at NAPA. Didn't work. I went to my fav shop McDonalds Auto Repair Hebron Ohio and it was the small black relay that is next to it bolted on the wall right beside it. Chevy S10 2000. LOL the last shop that looked at it gave me a 2 hr estimate to look in the dash LOL.
After removing the two screws from the side, squeeze the clips on the sides to release the HVAC head unit. I just got this 03 Blazer a couple months ago, and it's my daily driver with a bunch of little stuff to do. The two top clips must have been broken off before I got it, because all i did was remove the two screws and the top just kinda tipped itself forward just a little. I didn't even know that any of them were there. I figured the unit was just lodged against something because I was pulling pretty damn hard on the bottom, but I figured I should just stop before I broke something. The whole thing started because I wanted to install blue LEDs. I saw that the bulbs were much smaller than the ones in the instrument panel, but I have no idea what to get. I was able to get the top two out to maybe give myself a starting point, because I haven't been able to find those micro LED and socket combos by listing. They look just like the little blue sockets sticking out of the back of the HVAC head unit in this video. If anyone has any info on these, I'd appreciate it very much. I also have plans to do all the lights in the switches in led blue as well, like the headlight, 4WD, and the door panel switches, but things like the courtesy, dome and map lights are staying the way they are
Nothing wrong with your driving method doogie, you have your mind in the right place. The instruments were a red herring, it really throws you off the path dont it lol, ive had a few red herring times and its a good time to swear :D Those bloody thermal fuses are a dam pain, they pop because of a short overload and not overheating, ive had many an item that didnt work because the company buried one under the tape covering a transformer primary winding, the transformer got too hot because of the tape and enclosed design, bloody silly manufacturers lol.
I was really hoping you were going to get into the blend door actuators in this video!! I own the same vehicle and I need info on what to look for and what to replace. Great job my man 👨
Look or listen for a vacuum hiss around the HVAC control switch or transmission fluid in the vacuum lines in the engine bay firewall area, on the driver’s side.
Doogie so I need help on learning how to fix my 1997 s10 air conditioner problems how can I get in contact with you though? Any email or direct way I can contact you in order to diagnose what my ac is messing up because I honestly have no idea where to start ?
I have a 2000 GMC jimmy SLS 2 door 4WD, my heat isn't coming on, the blower motor does work and blows but no heat most of the time. It starts to come on for a couple seconds then no warm or hot air. What could be the issue?
So if my 99 jimmy the heater, defrost, vent all never blow out hard. But there are times it will come out hard on defrost and then you take it to 1 and it slows down and that.I also left comment before saying if you put it on floor it blows out the vent and so forth..NEED HELP
I learned some stuff but wish you had shown more detail. That part controlling heater fan speed. I wish you had shown its removal. I have no idea where to find and replace it.

QsQuare55 AC / Heat Fuse. 30 amps. If I recall correctly it's located in the fuse center underneath the hood. I apologise for not showing the exact fuse location. hope this helps!
check the connector that plugs to the relay, might check on connector that plugs into the resistor also, there is one wire that is too small of gauge wire for the load required by the motor. This causes the terminal on end of wire to heat up and melts the connector just a bit and causes a bad connection from wire to the resistor connector pin. I had to rebuild the connector and install a new terminal end to plug on to the resistor. Check this see if that might be your problem.

Jonathan only blower speed. If your coolant level is full and the blower worms, follow the heater hoses to and from your firewall. Inline with one of those hoses should be a valve that turns the hot water flow to the heater core on and off. Some cars dont have this, but I would start there.

Hi, does anyone know the name of the plug that houses the vacuum lines and plugs into the back of the vacuum valve for the selector switch on the right of the climate control assembly?
Brian S. I know what you're talking about I believe it is this : www.ebay.com/itm/152141711407 BUT I couldn't find one for my 2003 s10 Zr2 so I purchased this instead : ACDelco 15-72881 GM Original Equipment Heating and Air Conditioning Control Panel with Rear Window Defogger Switch www.amazon.com/dp/B000C9FHYI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_MPCizbAAN6DB4 AND IT CAME WITH EVERYTHING NEW INCLUDING THE NEW VALVE, THE SWITCHES AND NEW LIGHTS FOR THE HOUSING. Unbelievable cheap junk. I've had so many issues with my low mileage, one owner, garage kept Sonoma, I'll never buy another crappy domestic vehicle again.

When my blend quit working it was just a short cracked vacuum hose under hood at driver side top.
Look or listen for a vacuum hiss around the HVAC control switch or transmission fluid in the vacuum lines in the engine bay firewall area, on the driver’s side.
Im guessing intrumentation is to do with the computer boards? Ive never messed around with those yet so i have no clue what that is
Mine makes a sound and comes on for a second then just quits it works sometimes but I don’t what’s wrong with it

those small missing welds helped. can a dimmer switch replace the 4 speed switch? wiper noises made me jump.
Didn't show the heater working?? Did the part fix?
Where is located the relay of the climate control?
youre a great teacher
At least he got the hood up. Good job
I need your help on my 02 blazer . Blower motor has 1,2,3 but no high. New blower new resistor, fan switch and dont have hi speed??
replace the blower relay, it operates the blower on high speed

I don't know what fuse was bad on your truck but you did not show us and I have the same fuse out and the resister because it sounds the same
QsQuare55 AC / Heat Fuse. 30 amps. If I recall correctly it's located in the fuse center underneath the hood. I apologise for not showing the exact fuse location. hope this helps!
Thank u now im trying to fix my gas gauge its about half a tank off in my 87 chevy s10
My gas gauge works when it wants to on my 97 s10
Hirsch nope The issue probably lies in the positioning sensors on the fuel pumps float arm
It’s probably the sending unit as noted!
Change my restior but blower motor still wont blow is there a fuse or regulator im missing. 87 chevy s10 pickup 4 cyl

Do you know anything on a ac on a 1998 chevy 2500
Approx 5 minutes of good info. But never shows the "fix" actually worked! Last half has a huge amount of wasted footage & useless comment.

maybe that's the problem that I have with my S10 it only works on 4 s and it does a annoying sound
Could the coils in the video showing at the end, can that also be the problem for not having heat?
Or those coil are only for speed for the blower?

Blower motor fuse keeps blowing after still replaced panel switches and motor any ideas pleeease lol

ACDelco 15-72881 GM Original Equipment Heating and Air Conditioning Control Panel with Rear Window Defogger Switch www.amazon.com/dp/B000C9FHYI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_MPCizbAAN6DB4

@@francoduran7849 did the vacuum lines just fit onto that amazon part along with the the electrical connector .
Ken Hilson yes, everything fit perfectly and I had no issue
my hood used to do the same thing
The problem is the resisten
My s10 does that I just slam the door it'll pop open
To open the hood of my 97 S10 I have to hit the front center of the hood with a hammer
I have the same issue but just use a large flathead and pop it up
Nikolai Ninja lotta dents I’d imagine lol
Factory model hammer?
I just use my fist. I give it the Fonzy treatment lol
Same issue on my 01 blazer
Same truck as i got
My mom has the same stereo. lol
GOOD SOLDERING AND STEADY HAND LOL
Gotta love that GM quality..... NOT!
Unbelievable cheap junk. I've had so many issues with my low mileage, one owner, garage kept Sonoma, I'll never buy another crappy domestic vehicle again.
