do you think the i phone xr could go down to $700 or lower?
Bose is amazing
Can anyone Recommend me some truly wireless ear bud please
Lew: I'm gonna slowly increase the noise cancellation from 0 to 10
Lew: *goes directly to 10*
Of course you 🥔
From zero to 10 feels like holy shit that’s dope
I noticed this as well. I got a good chuckle from it.

Who else is never going to buy UA-cam premium?
Edit: 3 Years later, I have switched sides. Sorry Guys
Why buy UA-cam premium when you can get UA-cam vanced
Lech
Love Vanced
i got yt premium
I have it and it’s perfect
When I have disposable income ima buy these. Tried them at Best Buy and compared them to the xm3’s and the other Bose headphones. For me the 700’s were the clear winner. Felt much more premium, they didn’t touch my ears AT ALL, and they finally have touch controls. Plus I love the design of them, looks so clean.
“These are crazy comfortable.” Has them on backwards while wearing a hat. Lmao
@@vanlocphan3051 right. Top-notch quality and comfort. But it just makes you think, "This guy is just feeding you a script" *think emoji
Patrick Anderson BRO I have the Bose headphones on right now and I just realized I’m wearing them backwards 😳🤣
you're wearing the headphones, and reading reviews about them?
good times.
@@sandman589 No man. I'll be honest I wore them backwards the first time as well, and compared to the sonys I was blown away by the cushions. They're amazing. Comfort to bose any day.
But in the end I went with Sonys for the sound, and it's been a few months but I'm still not sure whether I made the right choice.
@@theambergryphon4266 Bass guys will always choose Sony. Sound guys will choose Bose. Both quality. But this guy reads a script. His reviews are 2 min quality stretched out to juuuuuust over 10 mins (bc that's what TY likes). 1-star.
I had the Sony WF-1000XF3's for a couple of weeks. Amazing noise cancellation, comfortable enough fit and a great sound for wireless. They fell short in two critical details - bluetooth pairing and voice conversations. I traded 'up' to the Bose 700's primarily because their improvements in these two areas and haven't looked back. I treated the Sony's with kid gloves - always putting them back in the case. The Bose 700's stay on my head or around my neck through most of the workday. They did an awesome job with voice isolation, which even allows me to carry on conversations in the car with my kids at their rowdiest. Overall 9.5/10 stars, and they only lost the 1/2 point because I still feel that they should have been priced at $350 at release.
Got my Bose 700 just yesterday and loving them already! The noise cancellation is just amazing, call quality is good too. The sound is also great - i do not know why so many people complained about Bass. I was confused earlier on the bass, but don’t see any issue with it after listening to music and taking call for two days. Trying to get used to the touchpad and understand how exactly the connection works though, sometimes its confusing. Another thing is they are so light that i can literally not feel anything on my head. I don’t regret my decision. Go for it!
I wonder should I buy this .. i need a headphone that can help soundproof upstairs neighbors walking footsteps noise. Will this one help to cancel this type of noise. TQ n appreciate for sharing
Noise cancel and everything is great. With that said the quality is great on the build and the sound but they are just not loud and the bass is weak.
Im wondering if they loud? Could you tell me please thanks, im thinking to buy em
Do they have any discovery features like the earphones on the app? IE: "Find my headphones" with a map element/ make a sound element.
@@BAJAPANTYRECORDS definitely loud enough for me. I max out at 80% and anything above that is too loud for me. I also had the Sonys before but went for these because I think the sound is a lot more balanced whereas the Sonys had just too much bass in my opinion. The Sonys got louder however.
Very well thought out. Appreciate anything with a consumer focused design. Thanks for the video!
2:08 "The way it fits and bends depending on your set up, your skull setup" - Lew.... hahaa
That's funny
"these are crazy comfortable"
*says while wearing a hat*
Because he thinks that hat is his body part
Must be talking about the cushion on his ears. Bose headphones are crazy comfortable. Those cushions 😍😍😍😍😍
A hat doesn't bother me as much as wearing those over long periods of time. 3+ hours. No mention about that

i've tried these in a bose store and i have the qc for 2 years now. and i thought the qc were perfect but when i put these on the first thing i thought was where do i get 400 bugs
Just so people know, they DO connect to Bluetooth devices without the app. Just did it now actually. hehe
Not missing much anyway, the app is garbage with minimal customisations.
so I could connect them to my MacBook?
Ray is the app not updated still???
@@anotherunboxingchannelasmr7920 it is indeed fixed and connects great I bought them the other day and don’t regret anything
You do need to use the app atleast once to update the firmware on the headphones, otherwise they'll sound like shit
The Bose 700 are great and really standout when making phone calls. The noise canceling works so good that even the ppl you are calling don’t hear any sounds from around you and hear your voice crystal clear. I never use the app btw.
Is there transparency mode?
Okay so, how the hell did you get it to connect without the app? I can't even listen to music. It just connects. No sound. No nothing. I got these as a gift this month and I'm so upset that I can't even use them.
@Joanna V I just got a pair and everything has worked flawless. While I don't really use the app, I did download it and connect. Now as soon as I turn on the headphones, it just automatically connects to my phone. Samsung Note 20.

Own the QC 35s, the new 700s and the Sony's. Find myself reaching for the 700s consistently, they are just easier to use and a little more comfortable than the competition.

@@DeeJayFM “it's.... complicated...”
I’ve done quite a bit of research before to invest in high cost headphones; something important for me, is the noise cancelling feature for calls at noisy environments like cafes and office; I have focused in the Sony WH1000XM4 and the Bose 700; to be honest more reviews said that sound quality is on the Sony’s side, however when you check reviews you can see then most talk about the high fidelity of Bose, and for Sony’s it is about some extra features like wearing detection, talk detection and extra bass. But there is not doubt, Bose 700 is the best noise cancelling in the market so far, Sony is a great option, in this moment has a great price. I test personally both headphones and I choose Bose. In my opinion the sound quality and bass balance are great, I don’t enjoy the high presence of bass effect of Sony, but is my opinion. Talking about comfort, I had used the Bose for more than 5 hours continuously, they are really comfortable. So far the best headphone that I ever used...
I got them today, I completely love them! Amazing sound and super comfortable!
Carolina G any problems? How long do they charge for
I’ve had the same exact headphones for about for or five days now. I’ve had many many different kinds of bose and beats headphones, To include the QC 35 headphones from Bose that were the previous versions as these.
I posted my own review on them after three days of using them on my channel, and I must say that they are the best sounding Bose that I have heard yet. The design is very nice but takes some getting used to with the capacitive touch controls. Other than that they are in excellent sounding pair of headphones and one of my favorite, definitely in my top three. Yet I have not had any headphones that were over $500 yet.
They get a 9.5 for midrange headphones.
Bose700 or the bose 45?
Me- I'm gonna buy these headphones they're awesome
Wallet- *I'm gonna stop you right there*
Buy the Sony ones instead, similar performance, and I got mine at 200$ open box
I just read that in Biran Griffin voice.
If u are a bass lover, do not get these. These barely have any bass
Alex Mason Open box means it isn’t used... also there pretty much isn’t a hygienic risk, even if it’s refurbished.... and if you do get faulty headphones eBay always protects the buyer more than the seller. Way more worth it at half the cost
@Alex Mason go back to your safe space
You’re leaving out most of the review. Call quality, noise cancellation quality review, microphones sounds. This was very incomplete
It's not a full review.. Its an unboxing
Don't confuse actual real useful information with the youtube sensation of watching people unbox shit. There are real reviews out there.
I agree. But when you think of his channel name: Unbox Therapy ..not Review Therapy.
I have them and he's spot on about the app. However, the rest of his "review" is just misleading. Using "10" inside a quiet room is obviously strange because it basically eliminates all sound and makes you feel like you're in a vacuum. Using 10 on an airplane actually makes you forget you're on an airplane, the engine noise is like a small fan in a corner of the room. For office I'm either on a 0 or a 5, out in the street I'm on a 5 or a 7.
There a reason it's called unbox-therapy not testing-therapy
Another major edge for the Bose 700 is the much better call quality which for me is very important. Thanks for the review. 👍🏼
i've qc's for over 2 years now and when i tried these on i was blown away by how good the 700 were. sadly i dont have 400 bugs right now
One of the biggest improvements, if not the biggest improvement, is voice quality during calls. It's pretty impressive how far ahead they are in that department. But I like my Sony's for every other aspect.
never thought id see killing me softly on a review abt headphones. gonna buy them tmr! thx
I have the Bose NC 700 myself and the iPhone 11 Pro. When trying to connect the headset to the app I had to delete and re-download the app 3 times in order to connect properly. But once it’s connected it’s all good. So yes I agree with what he said, some software work can be done to improve the overall User experience!
I LOVE UNBOX THERAPY!!! KEEP IT UP!!!

Bose just updated the app with EQ and now the sound is greatly improved. I just got my Bose 700 three weeks ago and I'm happy with them.
Does the bass and treble actually make a difference when you increase it? Or does it sound shitty?
@@danielpuntriano9894 Wondering the same thing Daniel
I just picked up the bose NC700S from ebay. At first, I didn't much care for the sound, it was okay, but nothing special. Also, after I updated my headphones, the EQ settings on the bose music app, was completely inaccessible with voice over. Well, I found out there was an update to the bose music app, and man what a difference. The EQ is now totally accessible with voice over, and now with the bass boost on, the headphones sound great. I love the design of the headphones noise canceling is insane, and call quality is also very good. Grab yourself a set of these headphones, you won't be disappointed. They are also very comfortable as well.
Got this off of link in amazon:

I wish Bose would integrate all their products into their Bose Connect app, rather than making a new app like they did with the 700’s. They did this with the Sleepbuds too
"Depending on your skull setup"
The selling point for me was the analog input. Yes, you read that correctly. I had the QC35 (stolen unfortunately), and will be looking to purchase this in the near future. The reason is because I use in-ears to play live music. For that to happen, I have to use an analog direct source. Using bluetooth results in latency making it impossible to play.
Dave Normandin there is not much latency
P
I have enjoyed the OE2 for 20+ yrs . They are very comfortable and analog. I'm not a fan of wireless dependency. The fact that the 700s are able to be used both ways is a plus. I like the thin headband and being adjustable for my ears. A lot of other headphones seem to have huge bulky headbands that slip off the back of my head and slip side to side because they are so big. I've tried earbuds but they just annoy the heck out of me. Lol . My search continues.
Thank you for your review

Sony has to rename them though, that's a terrible name for a crazy good product
There has not been any official news on when or if Sony will make the XM4
Ashwin Iyer their names are terrible on all their headphones and earphones. Like my Sony IER Z1R earphones. The best sounding earphones out there, but the name is pretty bad.
I got the bose 700...cold swea?. Hardly. Sonys got problems in the cold and cant do two devices and arent as comfortable...and the real world test on both battery? Bose won..so that 30 hrs stuff is bold ass lie.
The mics for phone calls are amazing and connected two device at once is legit

Honestly the quiet comfort35ii sounds and feels better, the 700 just felt awkward on my head and the comforts felt like I could sleep with them and the noise canceling made the Apple store turn into 1on1 concert in my brain. It was amazing
Side by side - trying both the Sony and the Bose 700 - the sound quality and EQ settings sold it. I was excited to listen to the Sony’s, while the Bose sounded like the same QC-level sound we’ve had for years now, almost no difference. Noise cancelling has different pros and Cons, comfort was about equal (Bose with a slight edge) - but unless you’re consistently taking phone calls over these headphones, go with the Sonys every time.
Congrats for 15 million. We want weird gadgets from you.
I wish Lew can comment on the mic as well. It is one of the best features.
Great Review, totally agree on the App - underwhelming for sure! Hope they fix that soon. Got these for Christmas and totally love them, can't wait for App upgrade though
Do you think these would be good for the gym?
I have the previous model Bose headphones, QC35II. When i got them i was decidung between them and the newest Sonys. I went with Bose , not because of the name or appearance, but because between the 2, Bose is rhe most comfortablee. Sonys sounded slightly better, but werent comfortable. If they can improve comfort in the future, i may switch .

Was waiting for this and see how Lew likes these Bose vs. Sony XM3.
I own many NC headphones. (QC35 ii, NC700, surface headphones)
I owned and returned the XM3 for a number of reasons. If you look at smaller UA-cam channels you’ll find that the XM3 is generally less liked than the NC700 and QC35 for good reason
@@dylanwhisnant6772 For what reason may I ask, because I'm looking for NC headphones and I don't want to make a mistake
@@Hentjim comfort and has the ability to connect to two devices simultaneously. for me these two factors just beats the xm3. i have the qc 35 ii, its the best really.
Hentjim
A few dealbreakers include very bad microphone quality for calls (NC700 absolutely murders it in that department).
No 2 device pairing. Really Sony?
Sound quality is arguably worse and this has been argued by a rather large number of people myself included. If you’re a bass head then sure the XM3s are for you but no EQ adjustment could get the incredible upper mids and overall highs of the Bose.
Next the look kills it for me. They look like you’re wearing the headphones that people on the tarmac at airports directing planes wear. It’s ugly imo.
Sony has better noise quality compared to Bose. But Bose headphones are the most comfy. Jim' review room gives detailed explanations on these.
Just FYI, the international version of Sony's WH-1000XM3 is availabe at Amazon for $270.
No missing accessories or anything. Just some multi-language documents.
Needless to say, I love them! Haven't really compared to Bose competitor models, but they are just amazing and the app is highly optimized.

Listening on my QC35 and its still incredible.
They are the best at blocking out background noise I live on a farm and live right by the barn and my neighbors have some cows out there and of course sometimes that mooing gets annoying I can’t hear them whenever I put the Bose 700s on it is really nice to be able to hear what you want to here.
“your skull set up”
What a term
I have the Bose QC45 and it is a great product for a great price of $230, id take that one over the more expensive Sony and Bose, and noice canceling works well on it
Heya Lew, would like to have you try out Marshall Headphones, just to know how they compare with Sony, bose and such.
Awesome vids, Stay safe!
I just got my today and I love them great sound quality
Bought the 700s yesterday and returning them today. I’ve had the Sony 1000s for a year and I’m sticking with those. Bose sound quality is flatter and the app doesn’t let you adjust the sound while the Sony’s app does. The 700s should have been priced at $250 for what they offer.
Flat is better ?
I love the Bose 700 over the Sony 1000mhx3 or whatever amazing feel slightly worse in sound but barely but noise cancellation is so much better and they have a better design look and name and the way they implemented basic features in such a unique way is amazing
Please do a review on the SkullCandy Indy Wireless Earbuds. I love your channels I’m subscribed to all of them. I would really appreciate it. I’m debating on ordering a pair and I need some professional reviews PLEASE 🙏🏽🙏🏽
Lew, you can turn off the adaptive sound control on the Sony's and then have the same simplistic control over the noise cancelling.
I used to work for Bose. I found out the sound link headphones sound better that the Qc flagship line.
I feel like the earcups would very easily snap off of the headband
im not the most gentle person and through some rough handling, they're still doing fine.
you would probably get the, to snap off if you tried to intentionally though.
Every night I turn them off and toss them onto the floor before I sleep. Not a single scratch (yet) and it's very difficult to take the leather earcups when you want to, never mind if you aren't trying to. But the full earcup is fully metal, everything but the top silicone headband and leather earcups are metal. It's a very strong and flexible steel, it looks and feels good
@@owencoyne6223 you good , why you treat em like that
Xistence Studios they're made of spring steel, they aren't just gonna snap. I'm an engineer and I believe in these headphones and their durability. And it's only about a 3ft drop so it's not "that" bad for them.
I need a name if you throw woman to the ground and beat them every night, it won’t kill em but it’s not nice
Sober - Tool
I see you Lew. Out here with the good music and stuff.
Yeah..... XD
brilliant review, thanks
Did my boy Lou here just say, "skull set-up"? Bahaha
I recently tried the Sony MX3(whatever they are called) and the Bose 700. Short review: The Sony’s have a really crazy bass that gets in your face letting you know that it is a bass headphone. While the Bose 700 have a nice warm tone to it. I went with the Bose 700 because that’s my style. Also, I am a music major, so I’m not listening that is bass heavy.
hello !! i just want to ask how the bass quality for the bose 700 is ? does it still feel premium even without comparing it to the sony ? thank you ~
Yeah, we have the Bose Soundtouch 300 Sound bar with surround sound speakers and sub. The app had nothing but issues when we first got it. It's still really buggy sometimes but eh.
The call feature is even crazier on it. You basically get like a Ironman suit vibe. Everything that comes from the outside gets played in the headset so you actually hear better
Kinda funny when he first turns them on and starts talking so loud.🤣💯💯
I have these headphones the silver ones. They are amazing really comfortable and the noise cancelling is amazing especially on the plane and even without music it is very good on. Definitely should get this product. Really comfortable .
I found this in the store and they where black colored and I was like huh never heard of these headphones. Then I bought these headphones and then As soon As I wore them it started playing orchestra music and then surprised me with features like Alexa. I already had these headphones for 3 days and they are EPIC. I got them for a really good deal.
can you review the call quality as well next time? would be worth to know well phone calls or conferences can be taken with these
Notice the subtle flex at 9:40 “Bose you’re watching this video...” (I mean, you come to me for my opinion on your product)
Any company's team usually looks out for popular reviews online for their product.
i was so happy about the usb type c 😂
Had mine for a week now. Love them, but the one thing that bugs me is how the buttons are located right where you handle the positioning of the headphones. This initially caused accidental shutdowns, etc... just bad ergonomics. You have to develop new handling habits.
I almost bought these, but for much less money the skullcandy hesh 2 had the best sound for me. The bose did not impress me for the bucks. I bought the sonys, though and still have not felt the need to use them while the hesh 2 (and hesh 3) seemed pretty good so far. The sonys sounded great and they have the mute where you just wave your hand past the ear cup. They were comfy as well. I will get into those sonys soon enough. I am terribly addicted to high tech for low price. The best sound in headphones were these gaudy gold headphones from monster - a few years back. I went back to buy them and they only had the display model, so I ended up with the hesh 2 which were good enough for the price.
well the sony has great sound and more functionality, the bose looks cool is what he said at the end.
As soon as some bug/error comes on this channel... Devs go crazy and bammmmm bugs fixed. You're a non paid tester my friend Lew 🤯
so are you saying the app is fixed now?
I just brought a pair works fine for me been a long time Sony user. Since having these Bose wow wow wow. Being on the spectrum I love the noise cancelling
I got a pair today for $90 off because they where an open box at best buy, there insane.
Damn, those seem like a let down. I rather have the Sony headphones or the older Bose quite comfort. Plus for $400, I want the best premium.
I have the qc35ii and unfortunately as I found on hundreds of posts after the new firmware update they are useless... There is even assumption that Bose did it on purpose to boost the 700 series...
The sony wh-1000xm3 often goes on sale for $250 as well so its quite a large gap in the cost for the new bose 700 and the sony xm3.
The sonys are really overpriced. They sound very similar to the xb950's for an extra 200 cad
i sell 1st edition, brand new, grey color for 200$+international shipping
i bought the MDR-1000X (the original of the 1000XM3 before they switched to the WH line) for only 90 dollars and they really get the job done. i dont see myself spending 400 even though these lack the sony app but the experience is nearly as premium. give buying used a try, ive had no issues and have had performance that can keep up to even the QC35's even though theyre 100 dollars more minimum and thats in used condition.
I had to adjust my cradle cap for these to fit.
I’m late to the party but I have these coming tomorrow can’t
Wait to see how good they are I’ve got the wired ones at the moment which a really good so I’m expecting great things from these on my opinion Bose make the best speakers out there
Can you review the Sennheiser PXC 550-II wireless headphones? I'm trying to decide what the best overall sound and comfort headphones are out there, as both of those aspects are important to me.
