Thanks brother! Hope you and yours are staying safe and healthy through everything. We're going to get together something and get this Damn video made!
Hey Brian. I have to say that looks amazing. I’m totally into that wide racing stripe look. Suzuki has that kind of look on some of the M109s. I especially like the cobalt blue with the wide white stripes. I was trying to buy a 109 but couldn’t afford one and now very glad to have my Warrior instead. It’s much more raw and beast like of a bike. I have the 2003 black base with dark blue ghost flames. Your videos are extremely well presented and you have acquired a much more artistic look to you content. Not to mention how easy it is to follow your clear instructions with easy to get/see perfect visual of the process. You’ve helped me through a few teeth clenching moments with your channel. Keep it up, and ride safe. Al.
I think the grey really sets it off right, you have darker accents on the bike that pop more with it. A suggestion before you rip the wrap would be to try some darker grey pinstripe maybe 3mm, 5mm or some white or dark decals to contrast the lighter grey if it's cheaper for you to do so, just a recommendation before doing a whole new wrap. Great vid brother, keep'em coming.
Too late! Wouldn't have been a bad idea, but I already pulled some vinyl to be ready when the new stuff came in. Now, I'm waiting because the covid has the vinyl place not shipping out orders. 🤦♂️ now I have a maroon, grey and black bike. I still ride that beast though. Lol lesson learned, next time I'll leave the wrap till I'm ready to go.
Mike! Hope you and yours are doing well and staying healthy through all this madness. It's getting to be that time of year and when this ends we are gonna have to get that ride in. Hopefully they lift this lock down before summer.
Thanks Jason! The bike went through quite a change this year, but I can't wait to see how it looks with the new wrap on it. Thanks for watching and commenting brother. Stay safe out there!
Man I really need to finish the clean up on my left side. Love the braided line look and the quick release. I did new bars, adjustable links but kept the stock spring, and new grips so far. Loving that headlight too. I need to find an LED bulb to replace the stock bulb. Also talking to a guy about painting mine. I might go with orange and an offset pin stripe. Right at this moment though, I have been on a mission to find a stinger seat or a stock 04'+ seat. Have the rumble now and it just takes away from the sleekness of our bike. Even your stock seat just looks so clean. Sorry about the rambling. Awesome video as always. Can't wait to see the new vinyl when you get it on.
I think orange would look awesome. I almost went with orange when painting my but went with a deep flake metallic black to match the rest of the warrior since mines a midnight.
Haha. I've thought about going orange too, but it's so bright and these bikes turn heads enough. Thinking of adding a little yellow to it with the new wrap though, so I may get some.of that brightness going on mine as well. Sounds like you've got a pretty good start on your build, wish we were able to post pics in these comments, I'd love to see it.
@@RSWarriorBryan I posted a pic on facebook a few days ago, before the lowering happened. I'm sure there will be plenty more pics to come on our page as well.
Thanks! This winter it definitely went through some changes and I'm overall happy with it. Can't wait to see it with the new wrap though. Hope you and yours are staying healthy and safe! Thanks for watching and commenting brother!
Thanks brother! Coming from you, that means a lot. I've seen some amazing b roll coming from your channel. Hope you and yours are staying safe and healthy through all this.
Lookin sick dude! Not sure if you've done this yet but I had a bunch of oxidization or whatever its called on both rims so i wet sanded both rims from 500 grit to 3000 and then polished em, man i couldnt stop looking at the rims lol super cheap mod but takes a while to get all that clear coat off. When you gonna do the fat tire mod? Hehe
Man, that's some work! I think I am going to go the opposite way and have mine coated black. As for a fat tire, I'm really hoping to have the cash up to get it done this coming winter. May end up being one of the only winter mods I get done with how expensive they are, but will definitely be worth it.
Still pretty cold up that way? When do you get to go home? Hopefully within the next month, it's gonna start getting nice and as long as this lock down let's up, riding season is about here.
Hello Bryan, Josè here. Thank you so much for all your videos and advice. I just purchased my very first Warrior!!! And I’m thrilled! I love this bike. So much so, that I’ve made the decision to not ever sell it. I will keep it for as long as the Lord allows me to. I want to put on a nice chrome exhaust on it, can you recommend one, please? It still has the factory one. My Warrior is 07 1700cc one. Thank in advance!
Hey Jose, thanks for commenting brother! What style exhaust are you going for? Would you want something with longer or shorter pipes? You looking for a swept design, or more straight? The exhaust is makes a bug difference in looks, so you gotta figure out what you're looking to get out of your build. Let me know what you're looking for and I'll try and help narrow it down a little with you. Thanks again and welcome to the family! Stay safe out there!
RS Warrior Bryan Good morning Bryan! Thank you so much for your reply. I am looking to put on a short exhaust with a swept look/style. What do you recommend in terms of that? Also, once the exhaust is on, will I have change the mappings on the bike so that it can perform according to the exhaust?
I'd check into either vance and hines big radius, cobra speedster swept, or my personal favorite the Morton executioners. The last set have a very dramatic sweep to them and love the way they look on the bike.
Thanks! I'm pretty happy with the way it's all coming along so far. The exhaust is a set of Samson Ripsaws. I love the way they sound and they look great too. Hope you and yours are staying safe and healthy through all this.
hey Bryan, was wondering whether you ever inspected the oil drive gear on your bike. mine seems to have quite a bit of play on the back of the clutch basket( ~ 1mm) I have the same bike and there seems to be a chatter noise coming from that area( almost a grinding/ marbles sound). I suspected the clutch, so i will do a 3 plate mod with barnett.
love the grey but in my experience every grey bike ive had seems to blend in with the road and people pull out in front of me even more than they already would be safe man
Something that I would never have even thought about. I'm gonna add some bright yellow to the bike also, so maybe that will help draw some attention to it.
I FIGURE YOU'RE THE GUY TO ASK - DO YOU KNOW OF A GOOD LOOKING COMFORTABLE AFTER MARKET SEAT FOR AN 05 WARRIOR AND ALSO I HAVE V&H CHROME PIPES I WANT BLACK , WHATS A GOOD SOLUTION - THANKS - anyone else has good ideas, chime in. Thanks all
You'll need to either get a hold of heftysmurf on the forum, or you can try and track one down yourself and mill it down to fit. They were stock on the Roadstar 1700 between 99 and 03.
And yet the bike your heart is aching for does exist based upon exactly the same 1700 Cc V-twin: The Yamaha MT-01, you know, the bike you Americans could not have since Yamaha USA decided not to import this bike for you guys... So the MT-01; what kind of bike is that, well At Yamaha in Japan they stripped a 2005 Yamaha R1: all fairings came off and they took out the 4 cylinder R1 engine and they placed a Road Warrior 1700 Cc engine into the R1 Frame....made it all fit very well and so The Yamaha Frankenstein MT-01 was born. Since the bike is based up on a Yamaha R1 Frame with the Yamaha R1 front fork/brakes and the Yamaha R1 rear fork/brakes, this bike rides like a dream, also when the corners are hit, after all this is a Yamaha 1700 Cc V-tiwn R1. So basically the MT-01 (Master of Torque number 1) is no, I repeat, no cruiser, but a naked bike based up on a Naked Yamaha R1 frame/ undercarriage. Thanks for watching and commenting! I've seen a few turbo builds, but they've all Ben custom. Don't think that there are any kits that you can purchase to make a turbo warrior. There is a guy on Facebook named Sam Vallas that has a build, and he is pretty knowledgeable on getting them set up. You may be able to track him down if you had any questions. Hope that helps! Thanks again. Stay safe and healthy out there brother!
He doesn't actually have a channel. He is just on the Yamaha Roadstar Warrior Facebook group. You can get on there and see if you can get any info from him about them.
Hi Bryan I'm in the U K and I have just bought a Yamaha warrior 1700. I also have a Suzuki 1200 bandit, Yamaha virago 535 bobber, Kawasaki V N 800 bobber, Suzuki vl 800 and a spy F1 quad bike, Are you on Facebook
I just picked up my 02 warrior today. I was a bit sad riding my old bike to the trade... Then I rode the warrior home and I wasn't sad anymore!
Love the intro, great job Bryan
