- Today’s video is a look at the 2017 Timex Marlin Reissue. Although not like the original, it is something else. Again, from a long term perspective.

I own this version and the blackout version. Love them both, but mainly wear the champagne sunburst version more because it's easier to read in low light, I work nights. Both have served me very well! I even wear them while doing yard work and haven't had a problem.
The Tan Brown from Hodinkee looks good on this watch.
I’ve got a drinking game for you guys;
Every time I wipe the watch with the cloth, take a shot!
Perpetual Watch Reviews you want me to get in an alcoholic coma then hahaha
The strap is pronounced spy-DELL.. I know because, as a child, I used to see Speidel strap commercials on TV. The announcers pronounced the brand as spy-DELL.. I have the watch on delivery from Timex that you reviewed on this video, also the black dial version, and the version with the mesh bracelet. I'll choose the one I like the best and return the others..
Acrylic, not crystal dome. Makes difference. At this price point out should be crystal.
Michal Steier AH, yes. Didn’t notice I said domed crystal, inferring it being mineral.
So correction, the crystal is ACRYLIC.
And on the note that it should be mineral, I’m not sure. Acrylic gives off a very unique look, almost bubble feeling (even flat) that many vintage watches have. I think they went with the right choice. Why do you think the Speedmaster still comes with hecalite (a form of acrylic)?
@@perpetualwatchreviews4007 perhaps you're right. Anyway I'm thinking to get one Marlin myself, it will be the first manual wind watch among several automatic I have as well as the first one without day complication.
Why were you using dreadful gloves?. I have a few old 60’s Marlins, not keen on this one, as fake due the components used, it could never become a collectors item, think it’s a throw away watch and an expensive mistake.
