They are not completely wrong either. Making a movie, series, or even a TV serial is a tough job, especially in today's time when the audience has so many entertainment options available. The job of a professional critic or reviewer is much easier compared to the creators. Then there are those on UA-cam who call themselves reviewers or critics, but they have zero knowledge about technical aspects like screenplay, direction, storytelling, etc. When they criticize or review a movie or series, it's a joke. They cross the line and make statements as if no one has better knowledge of filmmaking than they do. Some people are cautious in their criticism, but even then, they don't critique for the betterment of a movie or series; their UA-cam channel gets involved, focusing on views and likes for their target audience. Without any professional course or technical knowledge, a person can say they didn't like a movie or series, but calling that personal preference a "review" is nothing but a joke.
Why fighter didn't work: - Terrible promotions (a war film is marketed with unnecessary dance numbers, instead of heer asmani and mitti being used primarily) -It's trailer had elements of jingoism (which made people skeptical and pass it off a any other indo-pak conflict film) Imo, the film was very good, and if they had just stuck to the camaraderie and Hrithik's inner battle in the trailer, it would have worked better. Also its high time that Sid should stop adding unnecessary item number, just because Hrithik is a amazing dancer.

True and nothing the kannada film director said was critical of indian cinema. All he said was what even I was thinking which was Iranian cinema was acknowledged worldwide and we should aspire to make those films. What is this narrative that goes on - "Oo we work so hard...we have struggled so much". The kind of compensation these movie industry people get for their struggle and hardwork is way way higher than most other industries. Everyone works hard and even after getting a decent amount of success in their fields...many aren't compensated well enough. Eg. Engineers, doctors, lawyers, govt officials and other academic fields (and not to forget the daily criticism they get from their higher ups). Even the sportsperson (other than cricket) aren't compensated well enough even after being at top of their game. But its the film line people that complain a lot.

SRK was averse to critisism when he had reached God like status in terms of stardom in the 2000s. He used to sarcastically attack all naysayers.
He was humbled to great lengths after Wanted and Dabangg released and tides changed.
It's true, cause if you are on the top you will not criticize your own work or talk negative. But it happened for good because we got to see him in few different roles. He reinvented himself for few movies. And he showed how much he likes doing action movies rather than romance. It was YR and KJo who stopped him from doing action movies. But now maybe one is supporting him.

No way u said that the jaab taak hai jaan album was a let down
Why fighter didn't work:
- Terrible promotions (a war film is marketed with unnecessary dance numbers, instead of heer asmani and mitti being used primarily)
-It's trailer had elements of jingoism (which made people skeptical and pass it off a any other indo-pak conflict film)
Imo, the film was very good, and if they had just stuck to the camaraderie and Hrithik's inner battle in the trailer, it would have worked better. Also its high time that Sid should stop adding unnecessary item number, just because Hrithik is a amazing dancer.
