And of course the all so existing toxic masculinity...women are crazy..we know this but men are DANGEROUS..gang***, honor ****....no woman would do this...
The saddest part is, women in our country are not praised enough for their talents, achievements, intelligence or contributions but are mostly judged based on their appearance and feminine characteristics.
completely agree. Even as a housewife or a working women, women in India are rockstars and pillars of the society, but they are barely and or never appreciated, recognized and overall harassed ever single place. If there is any shred of decency and normalcy in India, its because of the women of the country. They are the only reason Indian society has survived.
The amount of backlash Parvathy Thiruvothu received for speaking up for women, later reflected in her whole career. She was replaced in a lot of movies. Recently when she appeared for the filmfare award and asked which movie u want to see winning an award... She replied Kathal the core starring Mammotty, people were like now she wants sympathy... Audience failed to acknowledge the fact that her fight was not against Mammotty, She was bold enough to call out wt needeed to be criticized..
Reality of our country: 1. It is not safe 2. We do not have mature population to take criticism and work on it 3. We severely lack civic sense 4. We do not take responsibility, and when shit knocks our door we just raise our hands and do not take responsibility and also have the audacity to blame it on others 5. Our country greatness only comes from the rich history and culture of our ancestors and their hurdles. That being said I love my country and people very much… we have to work on our limitations and make our society great. We cannot see anyone who is trying to make our society better as enemies.
@@siddhantsamant3539 bro this is exactly what we don’t need, comparing the level of bad stuff of other countries no country is perfect as a matter of fact. As a student of psychology, my answer to your last question, as to why we are so angry and dismissive of anyone who is pointing out real flaws in our country is the age-old ego defense mechanism. I know there is something wrong with my society and I am deeply insecure about it. So whenever someone points finger at me.... I tend to get triggered and defensive about it.
No I think it is the hundreds of years humiliation of our country, through media, education where only few things about our country is celebrated resulting in weak insecure mind which follows & obeys, and these times are kind of a revival of ancient glory but at the same time the hundred years of conditioned degenerated mind( which contains dogmatic & rudementary thinking )is also there, there is a battle between the 2 egos of the mind that's why the chaos and it will take time when the battle will end and new ego rises, let's hope it will be the healthy mind of the new man of the future for India
Another reason is that over the last decade or so we've started to confuse nationalism with patriotism as a society. While the former is majorly a political belief system, the latter treads a thin line between the love for a nation and blind faith. The former teaches one to see opposition - physical, ideological, social, political - as a threat. Whereas, the latter teaches one to love, respect, care, and empathise. It's not love if I'm not ready to accept flaws and problems and be willing to change. And there's no patriotism without love.
Srk-“We are becoming intolerant day after day” This has been proved everytime by the Indians. People called him anti national, connected him with terrorists(yogi Adityanath), told him to leave india, boycotted his movies, burned his posters in the middle of a street just for saying this line, proving their intolerance. Srk is a global icon and he has the right to say what he wants, but these people snatched it completely from him by framing his son for a fake drug case. You have put it so well here. Criticism in India is treated as criticism on India. Never considered as constructive but rather as a blame. The toggle between staying within culture/morale and certain advancements in the name of becoming forward is as smartly played to the convenience as being called too young for enjoying freedom or gaining responsibilities and too old for buying toys or video games. "They" don't want us to get any smarter than bullying the ones who actually express their opinions. It's high time we understand how much of a propaganda most contents are. I absolutely agree with you that we need to address what's wrong to even think about changing it. However, selective outrage is what I'm not okay with. Our weakness has always been that we invite valid discussions but who is bringing it up and with what agenda also has to be considered
One of our Biggest problems is, We can't take Criticism about the sorry state of our Country even if it is staring right infront of our eyes. Hypocrites we all are
Too good Jammy.how well you have put the points. But one thing I would like to say while some mother's don't have power in the family some of them don't feel the need to educate their children especially sons.some are ok with abuse going on with another woman going in same house. This needs to change
I think our country somewhere boils down to us individually and a lot of us are not ready to accept we are flawed and we need to work on ourselves consciously to get better. Also we are not willing to accept we are flawed because we are not ready to stop for another person nor forgive anyone, worse not stop for our ownselves. We are desperate for the world to look at us but we never actually want to look at ourselves because it is boring and hard work. Yes I sound completely boomer but this is the conclusion and start point for a change that I could arrive at.
The fact that Jammy was muted for longer than he speaking when he lists the problems shows our sorry state of being- we've become so obsessed with facades and what we say and people hear that we're willing to live in denial and censor our any difficult sounding problems just so we're not affected by it, when in reality, we shouldn't even HAVE to be saying these words. Exactly how people tried to attack Mallika Sherawat for simply stating the obvious! Down with media censorship!
All the memes that you mentioned appeared on my twitter feed too. And they were generally on the accounts that wanted to attract a clout for the sake of going viral. You are right, they can scoff it off as a meme but cannot argue that its origination is dark. At the same time, a guy on my twitter account commented on Sobhita's character when she recently got engaged to Naga Chaitanya, equating her real character to Tara, that she played in Made in Heaven. Being curious I called him out as if he knows a lot about her personal life that he started drawing those parallels. He went quiet as I started asking him more questions since he seemed to know a lot. Truth is we appear to be all sanskari, caring and cultural but our humour in daily lives is crass, misogynistic and shallow.
@roronoauchiha69 every community has it's own issues.. not disagreeing with that but aamir never put forward any issue regarding his own community. Do you believe the M community is the most holy and pious one?
What is frustrating now is the seemingly endless discussion and criticism of the situation. No one ground action is being taken. While we discuss, somewhere this nation is stooping to newer lows of humanity.
I'm glad you brought up the Hema committee report. We need more studies in this industry and take action to ensure women's safety in the film industry.
I cannot thank you enough for point this out, I am an Indian living in Europe since few years and whenever I try to point out about the problems we have, especially regarding women safety, most of the times I have to hear that I am being anti national and I must stay back…This pain’s me so much that we as Indians don’t want to hear anything that we can improve 😒
Raju hirani ruined aamir's career ,he was probably most genuine among all the other khans ,his filmography consist of movies like - mangal pandey, rang d basanti, 3 idiots . He was always had a interest in improving the condition of the country. He could have made fortune by the cheap shows like bigg boss, 10 ka dum. But he did "sataymev jayte" which is very gutsy from even todays perspective. But what did the country gave him , wide level of hate and cancellation.
After watching this video I remembered the last scene of swadesh where srk says that our country is not the best in the world but we can become one by introspecting ourselves
You are right. 1. We need to be less serious in offence and more serious in action. 2. People need to understand that its everyone's duty, not just the state. Or the victim for that matter. 3. Calling out should be supported.
Women safety in india is really getting down day by day.And the victim blaming is getting worse.Indian women are subjected to worse situations in marriage, career and every aspects of their life.Indians should have progressive thinking. After 2014 the thought of adressing really concerned people on our country as anti indians is cultivated in minds of people by certain political party.
Sad part is that, This video will not reach the Target Audiences who are making those reels and posts. Sometimes I think its better to have some laws like North Korea to Encounter Certain Things.
I do agree and understand that we are a nation full of flaws, and so are others. The problem with international media particularly BBC is they report indians and their achievements also like jokes. So when they say things like that we get defensive. They mock us at our best and they of course report our flaws. I would be more that happy to see an NDTV report on olympics and India and how we should pay more attention to sports. But others I take them with a grain of salt. Their intents are malicious to say the least!

When Aamir Khan said "Indians are intolerant" and everyone proved him right by acting exactly as I expected, being intolerant. The biggest factor is unregulated use of internet by teens. It's a systemic issue. The good ones remain good. The malleable population will take the shape of whatever is trending or cool. We say technology makes us progressive but in the current situation, it's making only a section of our population progressive whereas a majority is being poisoned with content that is questionable. And I'm not talking about movies and tv shows, I'm talking about reels.
To address your last question: Aamir Khan and his wife want to leave the country. He made this decision because he prioritized his identity over his nation. While it's okay to criticize or disagree, it's hard for me to accept this stance from someone who promoted values like truth and justice in "Satyamev Jayate."

Even as a housewife or a working women, women in India are rockstars and pillars of the society, but they are barely and or never appreciated, recognized and overall harassed ever single place. If there is any shred of decency and normalcy in India, its because of the women of the country. They are the only reason Indian society has survived.
Women is the mother of humanity, without women there won't be a population and they get treated like shit.

The amount of backlash Parvathy Thiruvothu received for speaking up for women, later reflected in her whole career. She was replaced in a lot of movies. Audience failed to acknowledge the fact that her fight was not against Mammotty, She was bold enough to call out wt needeed to be criticized..

Haha, You perfectly described it. Our Nation is so insecure that they cannot listen to a single word against it.

I am not Indian but love the country and its culture but I have often seen it when anyone points out any shortcomings of India, Indians become very aggressive and offensive towards the people who point it out.
I remember when Slumdog Millionaire movie came out and some Indians got very offended because the movie showed Slums and by that Hollywood was trying to say that all there is to India is slum. They really couldn’t be further from the truth. Accepting your shortcomings and working to making it right should be the mindset India should have.

I do agree and understand that we are a nation full of flaws, and so are others. The problem with international media particularly BBC is they report indians and their achievements also like jokes.
