I 'm from Preston, and am now 72, I remember vividly my mother telling me this awful story, when i was a little Girl of 7 or 8, (although I didn't realise it took place in Accrington) I remember being absolutely horrified by it, obviously I must have been because I remember it well, i felt SO sorry for the little girl, and was glad when you told us that she had in fact had a good life despite her awful injuries. I have just recently discovered your channel, and find it fascinating, keep up yours and Vickies great work, Lelli x

Yeah, it's truly horrific Vivien, and one I had been wanting to cover a long time before we did as at least she went on to have a life, not like slot of the other stories we cover. Someone she trusted, could do that to her...😢
@@Daysofhorror-vickie Yes I agree Vickie, I will never understand how someone can hurt a child and in such a horrific way as you've said. I've only just come across your channel and find it so interesting. Thank you both for these great videos.

Oh my goodness what an horrific story , it’s hard to imagine what evilness goes one in someone head to commit such an evil crime. I can’t understand how someone can represent this monster in court . Why did the mother go on to marry him knowing he was an abusive alcoholic . So many questions to this story .
Years back I was reading an autobiography and it opened with this sickening crime. I can't remember what her family's connection was to it but I'll try and find my copy and let you know, maybe they just lived round the corner or something.
