delicious
I used to have the racks, but gave away new in a move. Many regrets. Sovthankbyou for your demo. How did youvremove the shellac and wax? Most organic apples have non-insect wax, but most others use lac-resin. Food grade shellac, from lac-insect secretions. Insect secretions aren't what I want to consume. I have used very hot water and a rough hand towel, but curious what you use. Thank you. : )
I jump simply wash my apples and fruit in water with vinegar. My apples really didn't have anything on them like you've mentioned. So water and vinegar cleaned perfectly
Nice video. I might have to try apples next.
Have you done herbs or veggies? Have you done a different temp? Ive personally done dill but in the oven and it went QUICK. I wanna try celery in the fryer. This is so COOL
No I haven't yet. Only fruit. I have also made beef jerky and have a video on that. Turns out really good.
Thank you so much for making this video! I love my little Ninja foodie grill and I bought the dehydrator trays that you mentioned. Your video gives me the confidence to give it a try and I would love to dehydrate apple slices for Christmas gifts. We will see how that turns out. 🎄 😊
Thank you what a great compliment. After this video I did get the 3 layer rack too and it's great. You can do so much more easier with it. Just an FYI. I didn't do it but many recipes for doing apples suggest you to use 2 cups of water mixed with 2 Tblsp of lemon juice and to soak your sliced apples in it for 8 min before layering them for dehydrating. That ratio is for 4-5 small apples or 3-4 large apples. Since you are doing for gifts you may want to add that step. Although they turned out really good without me doing that as well. Have you seen my video doing beef jerky? It was so so good. Thanks for watching. Please come back and comment after you make and tell how you liked them.

@@WhatsUpwithDJNow yes, good idea!
@@claudialandow1106 I think it just helps them from browning too much.
does the temp and time always stay the same? Have never dehydrated anything lol
Depends on how done you like them. But most things about 6 hours at 150. Different things different lengths. The next thing I'm doing is sweet potato chips for a healthy dog treat to see if Sammy will like.
@@WhatsUpwithDJNow will be watching for that one..i have three doxies and always looking for a good treat.
@@celleduffel1533 I'll prob do in next few days
@@WhatsUpwithDJNow I will be watching and waiting for it.
