I just got my 2019 F150 Lariat today. I changed these mods: Turn signals to 5 blinks, shut off the Auto stop/start mode with no pop up screen reminding you it is off. Bambi mode is on, Turned on a Sony Amp/Syn in the Sync 3, put the number above my dummy gauges, Heated - Vented seat controller on the Snyc 3 screen. As I learn more I will do those as well. If useful.

Ford missed a golden opportunity to integrate all these option into their vehicles making them the most customizable and personalized on the market. FORD PLEASE CORRECT THIS FOR THE 2020 MODEL YEAR!
Zecro67 they never will as some things are for legal reasons and also you can force people to buy higher trims for specific features.
@@FishFind3000 I am not suggesting allowing the owner to turn off the seatbelt minder or disable safety features but the number of turn signal blinks is a personal preference like the splash screen or allowing bambi mode is a no brainer.
@@Zecro67 well they have to leave something on the table for the next gen models. cant have everything now. ive found features in my 19 year old bmw from coding that made is way better. these features have been locked away for the longest time. its just us that need to be proactive and keep up. learning how to do these things makes your car extra special and you can provide this services to others.
@@Zecro67 Bambi mode is actually illegal. You can't have more than 2 sets of driving lights on at the same time.
More than 2 sets? What about low beams and fogs

Good video...I hope u saved ur as built before u made changes,, if something goes wrong u can put it back to stock and start over,, it help me by saving my as built b 4 I made changes cause I had an issue,,, it’s always good to save the factory settings b for making changes that way u can ALWAYS go back if something goes wrong

Turn door chime off using forscan makes things less annoying 👍🏻
On the 2018 Mustang GT base model, it has an oil pressure switch for low oil pressure. The center display only shows oil pressure "normal", and not an actual PSI value. The Performance Pack Mustang has a variable voltage pressure sender with an electric gauge. That signal also goes to the PCM for the oil light if it gets too low.
I wonder, is there is a way to remove the switch and install a pressure sender, then add a digital gauge graphic with the oil pressure value to the tree menu on the center display?

I really, REALLY appreciate your content. I am going to getting into the modification arena with my own F-150 in the near future and I'll be using a lot of your mods as a reference for when I start. Just a few questions for my 2016 F-150 XLT (2.7 Ecoboost, 302A Package):
1. Does the 2016 Lariat have different headlights than the XLT? Because I would like to be able to turn the halos on for daytime running, if that's something available to me.
2. For the newest Sync 3 updates, did you have to upgrade your USB ports in order to use Android/Apple Auto? I can't get a for sure answer through research, so I thought I'd ask.
Really, I do appreciate your content. I look forward to using your videos to upgrade my truck very soon!
My lights are only an option for Lariat trims on up. You can order aftermarket lights with halos. I have sync 3 stock so android and apple work on mine

- I have been looking at upgrading the headlights, so it's good to know that's the direction I need to take instead of wasting money.
- I also have Sync 3 stock with my F-150, but it's running software v1.0 and there's a lot of back and forth on the internet about methods for getting the in-vehicle software updated to the newest version (v3.2 or v3.3, I believe).
- Along with all that comes the debate about some Ford models needing an upgraded USB port in order to use Android/Apple Auto. Not really sure if that applies to me, but I do know that the dealer down here wants to charge me $120/hr for an update that's 100% free through Ford.

I know you can update it over the internet Wi-Fi that is and that's what I do. I tried to update versus a flash drive in the download would not work as a lot of people have an issue with. Other than that I would take it to the Ford dealership

I have the same OBDII scanner without HS and MS switch and an Bluetooth version.
Can I use it for changing same codes as you do in video? Or I should bay the same as yours?
You should be able to use it as long as it is compatible
I wonder if it has a download that allows the cruise control to power to stay on like a GM? It is so aggravating to have to hit the power button and then the set speed.

1. Do you know if Forscan voids the warranty?
2. A few people have recommended saving the factory data file before making any changes with Forscan incase you ever have to get it back to factory settings. How do you go about that?

It does not void the warranty. There is a save icon at the bottom of the program that allows you to save the file prior to making changes

I have a 2010 ford CVPI and the interior lights don't come on when the doors are opened. I've head this is called "Dark Mode" will this solve this issue? Because I don't want to spend $100 at the dealership to have it done. Thanks
Yes, with Forscan you can enable and disable dark mode
You should have reminded people to SAVE the line before making changes, so they can return to the stock value

Is it normal when you are doing a log to see 12 of the triangles with exclamation points showing DTCs. This if the first time I have tried to run forscan and my check engine light is not on.

The lights are powered by a switch in the bed and on the dash. Nothing needs to be programmed

No, nothing in the ECU can be changed via Forscan besides for clearing DTCs

I am trying to reset mykey ,I only have one key and cannot reset it. I already have the usb OBD2 with the switch but I cannot get focccus app to allow me changes. If the extended key is needed on forscan how can I get it?
I would check on the forum. I have only dealt with the trial key

Yes I did, but when I did it there were not a lot of options so all I had was asbuilt. Now you may not need to

This has nothing to do with the values of your tune. Should work fine

Which feature? If you are speaking of ForScan then no. This program works on a lot of Fords in general
Hello! I upgraded my wheels from the 18" factory to the 20" factory wheels same ones you have in this video how and where in FORScan I can make the necessary adjustments so my speedometer would be accurate again with the 20" wheels? Thank you!
Wheel size does not change the speedometer only tire size changes. If your overall tire diameter is the same you're fine and no adjustments are needed
@@AutoDad the tire plus wheel of the 18" is smaller than the 20" wheel plus tire so yes the total diameter is different and my speedometer changed about 2 mph

Yes, I tapped them into the corner lamp
Yours is the Lariat trim? Every single video I’ve found doesn’t do a decent job describing where exactly you need to tap into. I’ve got the wiring diagrams and have pulled the cluster for the driver side headlight but don’t know which I have to tap into. My truck is a ‘16 Lariat and the light cluster has 10-12 wires.
Can you change that to white for the accent LED lights as daytime running lights?
No, stock are amber
@@AutoDad I feel like I usually see them on in white, but occasionally they're not on at all. Is this something you can control outside of this software mod?
@@RedWingsninetyone stock white happened in 2018. Prior to this stock are amber. Only aftermarket "switch back" headlights change from amber to white.

i have 2016 f150 lariat, only have 1 key and i turned my 1 key into a myKey. how can i delete that with forscan? and what forscan do i download the paid version? by the way, great video, simple to understand for a newby perspective like me.
If you use a laptop, the software is free. Once you are registered you can post questions on the Forscan forums for people to answer. Pretty sure you can program/delete keys
Were you able to reset the myKey? I have the same issue
@@ep6543 , i had to get a second key, and then it let me erase the mykey on the other key
$105 for key online and $60 to get programmed by the dealer

I have the light delay in my settings under vehicle
@@AutoDad I have it set at 20 sec. But it still turn off right away as soon as I lock the truck with the keyfob. Can't remember if it stayed on after locking before I did the forscan drl and Bambi mods?
That is strange. Mine stay on if my knob is in auto and I use the lock on my outside door handle (Lariat)
I just got to work and locked my truck with the fob and the lights stayed on for the 120 seconds that I have them set to. Not sure what went wrong on your end.
Yep, the 120 sec worked. But just seems to long, lol. Will make me think that I left my lights on? Especially, when people are around.. they will tell me "my lights are on". :)

You need to find the spreadsheet for your vehicle and the drl settings that match your equipment group
the file you save if you mess up you just upload it and everything is back

This does NOT void a warranty, all your doing is changing some settings basically
@Robert Yagmourian I'm 100% sure it doesn't. Warranty only get looked at when you messing with something major like the engine. It's just a setting

Because your license must be expired or you are using the diagnostic portion in which you need a paid license

There may be an issue with your driver. I would reload it or try another com port
Auto Dad ok. It works fine when key is on. I just want to keep auxiliary power on all the time via forscan. I don’t see a script for this in the spreadsheet
When key is off. To charge my phone. I think the PowerPoint code is just for the 12-120v plug

How do you get extended license?
Once you have registered and accepted into the site you will be able to request a temporary license. I think it's good for 2 months. After that expires you can just request another license
Just registered for extended license for 1 year for $10. Hope that's right.. LOL

It does. There is an iOS program as well, but it may cost something
iOS isn’t the same as MacOS. I use boot camp on my Mac (partitioned 50GB) to run Windows and haven’t had an issue using forscan.

It saves the profile of each VIN so each vehicle will have its own profile. I use mine and my wife's Fusion
