      Peter Heck I don't even want to hear Ubisoft's name anymore. Whatever they've done to Assassin's Creed, they've gone to shit!!

    • @peterheck2429

      Krabby Kat syndicate and unity were a mess. Although origins imo was a little bit better, I'm willing to give them a chance with Odyssey.

    • @krabbykat9918
      @krabbykat9918 5 років тому +20

      Peter Heck I played origins only a month ago and I still can't see why people liked it- it was super glitchy, the characters' emotions were inconsistent and aside from the world building, I found it boring. But that's just me and I am eating your head XD

    • @peterheck2429
      @peterheck2429 5 років тому +5

      Krabby Kat hey i share your opinion i didn't say origins was perfect, just not as bad as it could've been. The thing with unity and synd was that sometimes the world felt lifeless and suffocating, but origins had way better open world which was decent in size too. I just suspect if they at least improved a little bit it'll improve a bit more in the next game. Although i was hoping it wouldn't require the sacrifice of the game's lore, of which we've been following for over a decade.

    • @krabbykat9918
      @krabbykat9918 5 років тому +4

      Peter Heck well I guess that's hinting that it's about time they dropped it. Things should end at a decent point so some dignity remains intact XD I mean they sacrificed Prince of Persia which they could have done so much with and keep milking AC :o and I agree with your pov about syndicate.

    I hope they stick with this current formula for at least one or two sequels. Maybe that allows them to release a new one every 2 or 3 years.
    After GoW3 there was some kind of fatigue and the reception of Ascension showed that. But now I don't see fatigue, quite the opposite. People want more.

    • @HadesHatredEdge
      @HadesHatredEdge 6 років тому +70

      I liked the improvement to combat that came with Ascension. The ability to use the blades to grapple and enemy, use enemy weapons, and bare handed combat. Problem was that when Kratos had weapons that were not temporary they lacked the dept of the Blades of Chaos. Or in the case of GoW3, too many weapons with chains. GoW needed a different weapon that was well developed and fun to play as.

      Teroskull i wouldn’t call those BOSSES, they were like mini bosses they just gave you a bunch of stuff to help in game. Bosses like baldur that’s a great boss 3 fights last fight was the most fun fight, magni and modi I’d rank them next bcuz not a bunch of games you have duel bosses that have different attacks but work together to fuck you up, last best boss fight in this game I’d give to singrun those Valkyries are incredibly strong if you’re not well equipped and prepared

    This game is phenomenal, I adore story driven games and the story in this was so personal and beautifully written and acted. The natural transition from a father who could not even touch his son to comfort, to a father who in the end, could place a hand on their back with no awkwardness, was just gorgeous. I loved the themes of honesty and communication which aided in this transition - you see Krato’s becoming comfortable with his vulnerability and more accepting of it because he knows he needs to in order to be a good father. Ugh, i need to do a second playthrough immediately :-)

      I already platinumed the game like a week ago. One thing I couldn't get enough of was fighting Trolls (seriously not enough of them). There are bosses aplenty, but Trolls are a rarity. I think you only fight like 5 in the main storyline and 1 or 2 outside it. You'd think they would put them as mini-bosses in Muspelheim or Nilfheim, but oh well...
      Would gladly play again on NG+ if it was an option.

    I'm glad he stuck with his gut n pushed forward with his ideas despite doubt all around him n I'm also happy that Sony gave him the space to develop HIS game instead of something that would of been safe. Too many publishers force dev's into that SAFE space cuz they know the old formula is tried n true n it will 100% sell n get them a return investment. I know letting devs spread their creative wings is always a risk cuz ur going in with a 50/50 chance that it won't resonate with the audience but these r necessary risk to not only push game development further but to also innovate a known franchise to take it to the next level. Thank u cory n the team at Santa Monica for all your hard work on this amazing title n thank u SONY for letting them spread their wings.

      Well, Witcher 3 is an exceptional game in its own right. But I am not sure if it tops the production quality and the story of God of War. For me, God of War went a step beyond in its story-telling and traditional game progression loop. Every little detail - from lore stories of Mimir to weapon or skill upgrade or obtaining that 'other' weapon - mattered and fitted well within the overall narrative of the game. I am not trying to belittle the greatness of Witcher 3 but rather trying to say that God of War was a 'complete' masterpiece. Besides we are all so lucky to be alive and experience both exceptional games.

    • @mohamedabdelfatah7297
      @mohamedabdelfatah7297 6 років тому +2

      No , What made Norse mythology less interesting to me in the new god of war was the way it was presented . There was no chance in hell that god of war would be able to compete with something as grandoise as the witcher 3 . Don't forget that witcher 3 is a fully fledged rpg while god of war is still merely an action game with rpg elements thrown in . What disappointed me the most was how they chose to present the lore through these small unreadble text , when in reality nothing ever interesting happens . Mimir stories on the boat were also extremely boring , and in general there is not enough world building in the game tbh . You can't keep feeding us lore merely through text and expect us to be excited about it .

    • @meninzera
      @meninzera 6 років тому +11

      mohamed abdelfatah so they should add alchemy and 300 cutscenes, then the game would be closer to witcher 3. wow dude, wtf? I hate those hundreds of cutscenes. Also witcher 3 combat is a fucking joke. Im so glad they are nothing like each other.

    • @prohelling
      @prohelling 6 років тому +2

      Natan Alves Whitcher indeed achieved greatness in many areas, but the combat was meh. I forced myself to continue playing up to the first battle with the wild hunts.
      God of War & Horizon excelled in areas including combat. And for that both are better games than The witcher.
      You may argue that you like the witcher combat, but you cannot deny that GOW has a way better and much more fun combat.

    It's amazing. It starts fresh, instead of going for some sort of revenge, this god of war aims for a character with a simple, yet even if not to the player, significant objective to the characters: merely a father and son wishing to spread the ashes of someone they respected.
    Throughout this journey with a simple objective, both characters undergo significant development, and most of all kratos also shows the mental change he has undergone from all he lived in greece. It's so hard to find anything below "good" in this game. Only thing I was dissapointed of is not knowing the mother, which makes us feel more exterior of this journey, and I don't really like that side, seeing how it tried putting us in the action by showing him cutting the tree, but then gives us no idea who she was until later on, giving us merely a partial idea of this person our characters look up to so much as to go through that many things.
