Funny, I was just rewatching this video because I actually own one of these bars and everytime I use it I love the twisty top so I wanted a refresher on how you do it, but I can't believe I missed your question about honey in coffee! My Mother drinks her coffee with honey lol! I thought she was the only one in the world lol

Very nice soap Ellen, I can smell it from here! 💞 I don't put honey in my coffee but I do put it in tea. I am Canadian and we definitely put maple syrup in our coffee though!! It's totally YUMMEEEE!! 😂

I buy my fragrance oil from Bramble Berry and sometimes I order from Becented and the same fragrance smells completely different

I've sent my soap scraps to Anacoana, it employs women in Haiti and they turn the soap scraps into liquid soap for households, communities and hospitals that have been impacted by natural disasters or gang activity. I'm also wanting to put together care packages for kids entering foster care in my state.

Yes, I do drink my coffee with honey. especially raw organic honey. It is not bad. I think it is better than real sugar. 👍

Thanks! I typically use a 5-6% SF in all my soaps, the exception being my 100% Coconut oil soaps, I SF at 20% for those..
This soap is beautiful! We just got 3 dairy goats and I can't wait to get some of their milk to make some goat milk soap! Where are the recipes and/or formulas for the amounts of lye/goat milk soap to use please? I don't see that in your video. TY!

I've had Starbucks Cold Brew Cocoa & Honey with Cream and it's good. Other than that, no. I've never intentionally put honey in my coffee, but that Cold Brew is good? Maybe I'll try it sometime :) Very nice soap :)

Another gorgeous soap! I have been making soap for family and have a question. If you use tea tree EO and lavender EO and each say max use would be .5 ounce. Does that mean I can use .5 of each in one batch?
In general you'd add about .5 - .7 oz of E.O. per lb of soap batter total. So that would be a combine total of both oils.

A gorgeous double batch of soap.
Does the kaolin clay really help to anchor the fragrance oil.? And how long to you leave the soap batter before you add the lye solution.?
I like the kaolin clay for the feel in the lather, and it does help the fragrance stick too. My batter usually sits for 5-10 min. before my lye solution is ready to go.

Hi Ellen! What do you recommend to avoid stearic spots?
They usually come from overheating. I gel all my soaps, so get them frequenlty. You can keep your soap cool as it's saponifying, that would help.
Can I add honey to the water or liquid before I add lye or do I have to add to oil? Thank you so much:)
You could dissolve the honey in the water before adding the lye👍
When you add clay and oats are you discounting something in your recipe? I'd love to try working with each, but haven't seen a recipe. I like to use goat milk and lard in my soap. You inspire me to try new things as I'm a beginner.
No, my dry additives are just "extra", no need to discount.

How do you know that a batch has gone through gel phase before you’ve cut in to it?
It will start to heat up in the mold, then you know it's gelling.
I have not tried honey in coffee and for some reason it doesn't sound all that appetizing to me 😅 if I'm out of coffee creamer or oat milk, it's whatever milk we have plus brown sugar. Otherwise I'll just make some Earl Gray tea, I can tolerate that black or with honey.

Nice looking soap, not a fan of the glossy top, makes it look like fake plastic, I prefer the natural look of the soap
