    I love the idea of using melt&pour honeycomb strips rather than sticking the bubble wrap onto the soap, I find it looks much nicer the way you did it.
    And about the scent, so far I have only bought a small sampler of milk and honey and to me it smelled sooo bad, I do not understand the hype. Maybe oatmeal milk and honey is different but that one I had was unbearable, I sold it on in our soaper's fleamarket. 😂

    • @SoyandShea

      Thank you 🍯 I like the affect of both. I use bubble wrap on my Cleveland Honey Bar as its a simple unscented bar that is all about the "natural" ingredients.

    Mmm, OMH is a classic but *delicious scent. Glad you found some! If you want to compare it to other US suppliers' OMH, let me know. I'm happy to send some. Brambleberry & WSP have nice ones that are a little different than each other. Do the Aussie brands smell more like like Honey I Washed the Kids?

    • @SoyandShea
      @SoyandShea  3 роки тому +1

      Thank you for the offer. 🍯 I really like this version. One of our suppliers does a Honey I washed the kids and that's what I had preferred. Its hard to explain out fragrances. The best way is that US fragrances feel light to the nose (not weak in smell) but pleasant to smell. Some Aussie ones are just really thick and the base notes stick in your nose.

    • @SoyandShea
      @SoyandShea  Рік тому

      Thank you. I wish I could list them however, apart from it being a super long list, fragrance oils behave differently in different recipes so what works well for me may misbehave for someone else. Environmental conditions and soaping temperature also affect how it behaves.

    I have hear you talk about fragrace leakage and I have heard other soap makers talk about lye leakage, how do you know the difference between the two.

    • @SoyandShea
      @SoyandShea  3 роки тому

      To be honest I have never seen lye leakage so I'm not sure. Usually the liquid has a super strong fragrance smell and is usually quite viscose. I would suspect you would feel if it was lye leaking.

      As this is a soap that I sell in my range, I don't reveal my exact recipe. For most additives, you add 1-5% of your oil weight. For milk additives, this can be anything from 50% to 100% of your liquid amount. If you use 100%, you will need to freeze it

    • @SoyandShea
      @SoyandShea  Рік тому +1

      I think you need to do a little more research before writing such ill-informed remarks. I don't want the xanthan gum as it makes the soap misbehave. Titanium Dioxide, like so many other things is safe when used and handled correctly!!! You'd be surprised at just how much contact you have with this natural colourant.
