I never realized pudding face was something you could change. I thought it was just people complaining about how the sims in sims 3 looked in general. Thanks for this!
I thought that "pudding" was the description of faces of this installment in general, with plump cheeks and forced smile. They all look the same to me.
@whannabi I don't know but "faces of this instalment in general" highlights, to me, more than just the "townies". The person you responded to saying that probably meant that, in their view, they don't know how to make them with different proportions and general look than pudding faces. I don't think it's that deep or meaningful of an argument or at least it shouldn't be, I just wanted to point out what I guess they were referring to.
The worst bug that broke my heart was the parents getting a free vacation, one of the parents disappeared, became invisable and unplayable. I couldnt fix it and had to make a new game, lost all the children, adopted pets and progress. :(
Yeah, it's actually sad how buggy sims 3 is without mods. I almost lost my sims too because of free vacation. You need to open edit town, evict and move the disappeared sims into their house, they are still available
This issue has literally prevented me from playing the Sims 3 at all. I would get so frustrated trying to make a pretty family only for their faces to look like they were melting.

@@ReginaTrans_ I would suggest a rabbit hole rugs mod, those rugs act like a rabbit hole but can be place in actual building, so you can create your own hospital, decorate it, and place rug in front of one room inside, or in front of reception. I have a hospital just like that, and also some cc and mods to make hospital more fun. I have drugs mod which comes with a shelf where you place them, and also a break in mod, so when there's night and the lot is closed (you need to set lot to the one that is closed at night) my addict sim breakes in and tries to steal the drugs from hospital hhahh, sometimes police catches her 😂my vampire sims also go there to steal plasma bags (I have them removed from fridge so it's not so easy to get)

@@ReginaTrans_ Ambitions and Showtime have new careers open, and in Ambitions, the work of a doctor has been improved, where he can sometimes have a job of vaccinating on a public lot, and outside of working hours, some nps can show some symptoms of diseases and your sim doctor needs to help them. And even outside of work, your sim doctor can test experimental drugs on himself or another sim and receive a monetary reward for this. The main fun for me in sims 3 are quests that appear randomly and must be completed in the open world, most quests are usually in the World of Adventures in the tombs. To be honest, when there are too many Sims in the household, I'm happy to send some of them down the rabbit hole and not worry about them at the time. You just need to study the working schedules of careers so that they do not coincide
This is such a cool mod! I learned about pudding faces from one of your videos so I'm glad there's a fix for it that's isolated from other mods (I'm kind of like you where I don't want extra things in my game. I just have NRAAS mods) The modding communities for Sims 2 and 3 really impress me. After all these years people still care about those games enough to fix things about them which I appreciate.
never tried sims 3...... for some reason I only know sims 2 and sims 4!!!!! the whole 2010's I was a young adult partying, traveling, being independent, literally a Sims 3 character lol, in the 2000's I was a teen so I did play Sims 2 like A LOT, I was actually a huge fan with all the EP's original, and now in the 2020's im on my 30's, finished partying, traveling, dating and im settled, kinda went back to my life as a teen, inside my house, and now im getting sims 4 expansion packs since 2019, and somehow I became a fan girl of the sims 4 now !!!! lol, but I remember my few encounters with The Sims 3 were so fast and random that I only noticed the flaws and I actually was very judgmental about sims 3 even if I wasn't into games anymore, so maybe it worked as a defense mechanism to deny the fact I didn't have enough money to get a decent laptop to play it, (my laptop in 2010 was new but couldn't really run sims 3 at all 😭😭😭), so yeah, i dont wanna download sims 3 cause there's already a sims 4 right? but sometimes Im annoyed at how basic sims 4 is...... no open world, and when I play sims 2 its cool but again, no open world..... should I try sims 3??? I think expansion packs in sims 3 would make it even better right?
I'm using Awesome Mode and I pretty like it and also the other things that comes with it, and I must say: getting rid of pudding faces is really necessary to play TS3 and not get pissed off all the time, before I installed the mod I was changing other sims faces in CAS myself because I couldn't stand it.
I heard that awesome mod conflict with some nraas mods, not only story progression and sometimes buggy, would like to know more about the experience with this mod. I use nraas SP, but after it the saves become very heavy

Wow! Glad I saw this, just started reinstalling sims 3 so i've been looking for fixes for things like this. I never really noticed but now that I think back to all my old sims 3 worlds, I do remember seeing this face everywhere :o Also this reminded me of base game Sims 3 when it just released. Crazy times!
I just used to use the vanilla slider to take it to the thinnest for actual pudding face. And I think I used to keep story progression off, and had something that would stop townies from respawning. I've never been fond of townies, even in sims2 (I have ffs sanity mods to fix most of my sims2 issues) so I would make apartments and fill them with my own hand made sims to replace townies. That way, I had sims for work and so on. Guess it helped that I'm a theme player, so my neighbourhoods were always built from scratch in sims1 and 2.
I love this mod however my only criticism is that I wish we could control how much the mod randomises the sliders on generated sims. Every slider on generated sims in my game is below 10%. It literally works just like the randomize face button in cas where all it does it just randomise the preset for each feature of the face but this time it DOES manipulate the sliders but only a teeny tiny bit. I get that this was most likely added to make sure non of the sims are deformed but I'd love to be able to control how deformed the sims can be generated as so they can look more Unique and recognisable.

This os gold when you play a generation for a long time. When a partner has the pudding face the children will all look the same at some point. I consider installing that mod but Ive only had bad experiences with mods and CC in general. Like lagging, slowing down my game or corrupting my save files... so I'm a bit afraid
Hi Marticore :) I've been using lazyduchess' Random Sim Fixes mod instead of simler90's Gameplay Systems Core Mod and I've noticed something kind of annoying when my sims travel to a vacation world (it happened to both my sims who went to China with this mod installed), when they arrived it changed their facial features e.g eyes/noses were a different shape when arriving in the vacation/world adventures world I haven't installed any new mods recently to my sims 3 game accept this one from lazyduchess so it must be this, unless removing simler90's Gameplay Systems Core Mod did this some how? I have no idea, just thought you should know Jan 2023 Edit: I tested it again with different sims from the same household and they went to Egypt and the sim who's face got changed in China was the same it didn't change again, but one of the other sims I sent to Egypt was an elder female sim who on arriving to Egypt aged down to an adult but also became pregnant?? she has the elder walk too still and when I got her to change outfit to everyday she looked like her elder self but with no make-up and still had the pregnancy buff I have no idea what's going on, so I'm gonna LazyDuchess' mod back to simler90's one and test again to see if it is LD's mod
Hi! So I downloaded this mod and I don't know why but every time I make a new family, my game doesn't want to load. Is there anyone with same problem? What can I do to solve it? I really want to use this mod.
If we force ourselves to stop being afraid of the ugly features that pre-made sims from developers have, then we can have unique sims. But I still can't play without changing default skin, eyes, eyebrows, beards, even makeup

Isn't that the firstborn syndrome in The Sims 2? That technically doesn't happen in 3, but the genetics in this game aren't very good in general and I don't think there's a fix for that except the No Mutation mod...

I probably need to manually test it for conflicts by installing/uninstalling all my mods 🙄 Also, speaking about AwesomeMod, the config file is not necessary. Like, the "awesome.package" has in itself lots and lots of fixes (which you can read about in mod's documentation), the configuration page and, subsequently, the "aweconf.package" file let you tweak only some of this mod's changes.
ALSO!!! also, also!!! lazyduchess and/or some of their mutuals made a utility/program that lets you change and create premade face templates in CAS! That way, in theory you can combine your new/changed face templates with pudding faces fix and have lots of unique and eye pleasing townies!!
Sims 3 faces are just plain hideous. Massive deal breaker. Even if you manage to tinker up something mildly good looking in sims creator, the entire game is still filled with nothing but ugly sims.

@@Jennifantyou can reset lot using nrass master controller. It works for me
Nraas ErrorTrap will fix it, around 3am in the game it will reset any stuck/missing sims, it's a must for a smoother gameplay.
@@Vhmvd I think that one is Overwatch, ErrorTrap will fire as long as it detects any stuck/missing sim, regardless of the time.
Works for adopted children too!!! Originally they usually get the pudding face 🙄
I adopted a toddler a week ago and when it aged into a child.... it was clear we ended up with the pudding face 😵
