Excellent tutorial covering the key requirement of how to install the Estilo Cistern holding bracket which is sadly not detailed in the Instruction Sheet supplied with this great little unit.
Yes the instructions are pretty vague, lucky you found my video! Thanks
Legend - I think your vid is going to be the gift that keeps on giving. Not much on the little bit of paper that comes with this one how to fit the bracket, so thank you!
Haha, you’re welcome! Glad it was of some help
Hi! Cheers for such a helpful, easy to follow tutorial! Just replaced mums cistern and seat in under an hour 🙂 Andrea from Brisbane ✌
You’re very welcome Andrea. Happy it was helpful to you
Great video. Just about to buy this exact cistern and couldn't believe there was a video showing how to install it. Very handy. Thanks

Thank you for your video it helped me a lot. I installed the exact same cistern from Bunnings today.
Hi Remo, great job mate, glad it helped!
Thank you for a great teaching video. I like to do smaller job’s myself when possible but I usually won’t attempt any plumbing work. But I feel confident enough that I can do this job. 👍
You’re welcome. Best way to save money. Super happy to be of help.
Thanks for an easy tutorial. I was able to complete the replacement easily. 👍👍👍
That’s awesome, happy to have helped
awesome thanks for showing, I couldn't work out the bracket lol so easy, i used the holds on the wall and found out the L shape was to small lucky there was one in the box
That's great. Happy my video was some help to you.
Very helpful and thanks for the teaching clearly
You’re very welcome
Excellent video was so easy to follow thankyou
You’re very welcome
Just what I needed as someone handy but new to bog maintenance :) My existing ancient cistern has an overflow outlet also which seems to be unnecessary these days so will just block that off. Cheers.
Very easy to do & makes a huge difference
SO HELPFUL Thank you!
You’re very welcome!
😂 you are a legend thank you so much maybe you could go to Bunnings Frankston train them how to sell toilet accessories
You’re welcome. Haha
Nice, easy, Cheers. Where does one fine those Link plates. Oh nevermind i see you have that covered in another vid 👍👍
From Bunnings, haha yes I did a video for that too
Perfect mate
👍
Great video
Thank you
If I could hug and kiss you I would. My mother lives interstate. A plumber charge her almost $3,000 to look at three toilets. It’s basically old cisterns sticky floats and a leaking flexi hose. He fiddles with them doesn’t replace ANY of the toilet parts. Gives her two new shower taps she didn’t need 🤦🏼♀️🤷♀️ a huge bill and leaves.
She’s on a pension and can’t afford to get a plumber out. I look on Bunnings and see you can get a cistern for under a $100 and want to cry because I live interstate!
I think with this step by step video I can literally by the parts and tools she will need with click and collect and she can do this.
I’m also on a pension and can’t afford a plumber especially since I can’t be there to make sure they don’t take advantage of her.
So from the bottom of my heart thank you. This simple video will help my family more than you could ever imagine ❤
Thank you so much for your very kind words. You’ve made my day. I make these videos because I want to help where I can. Where does your Mother live? If it’s close to me I’d be happy to install them for her at no charge.
@@projectlex she lives in Carrara QLD and unfortunately I’m in Adelaide South Australia.
So sorry I’m in NSW. But it’s a fairly simple task to do. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask. Best of luck with everything
I will replace mine on Thursday. I have 3 toilets however 1 cistern is broken so I have to replace it. I am in Toowoomba from Sunday to Wednesday and tomorrow is Good Friday so the hardware shops are all closed. And I have Kenmore Village all day Saturday to see the Schindler 5400 AP MRL (Lifts) so I will replace the cistern on Thursday
thanks for the video!
You’re most welcome
Awesome Cheers mate for this...even if you didn't leave a floater :p
You’re very welcome… hahaha
Thanks. Exactly what I needed to see. I’m thinking of buying one, so it was good to see the process. Does it flush effectively? Is the inlet valve quiet ? And how do you get that blasted sticky label off?
(Teeny point: that’s a spanner, not a wrench. I know Americans call spanners “wrenches”, but let’s stay Australian.)
You’re welcome. Yes effective flush & quiet. Haha should do a video on how to get it off… but peel what you can off then use a rag or paper towel with some eucalyptus oil.
Haha yeah, but all the adjustable spanners at Bunnings are called wrenches so just keeping it simple for ease of others who need to buy the required tools
@@projectlex Thanks. I’ll definitely get one.
My old dad was of the opinion that failure to distinguish between spanners and wrenches was a sure sign of engineering incompetence, so I’m sure he’d want me to burn Bunnings down. But I’ll leave that until I’ve got all the stuff I need. I’ll just hit them with disapproving sniffs for now.
Haha
Mean bro
What size masonry drill bit did you use for the plugs to go in the tiles?
Hi, I used a 6mm masonry drill bit
@@projectlex after watching your video I went out and bought the exact same one. Followed your video and the cistern fit like a glove. Thankyou for an excellent video....👌👌
That’s awesome mate, glad it was helpful to you.

Thank you very much. Great job.
Glad it was helpful!
Is the toilet pan Caroma?
Sorry I’m unsure as there is no visible branding on the pan
Hi, so yes it is a Caroma

💩
You can't see what you are doing...with the plumbing
38k views & no one has said that before. What is it specifically you’re not understanding?
Hey Project Lex, how did you record this video?
GoPro
Is this in Queensland?
I’m in NSW
#Floater 😂
Imagine 🤣
You are not showing, all I see are your hands
Correct, it’s not about me 😁
