      Get rid of the forced slag, have OP an option.
      Let is level up faster.
      If you beat the game once, allow to start a fresh second quest on level 30-50.
      Borderlands 2 got really fun with the trees as you could double cap, but that took so long, and then you were forced to slag with Moxxi amd farm Harold's. Very tedious and inrewardingvto the semi-casual.
      And make Rifles and shotguns like BL1...mashers!?!

      @@yourstatistacs maybe forgot the comma. Miss GOOD masters. They lowered base damage so much the gimmick was worthless. Once in a blue moon you'd get a Jacob's Masher rifle that did anything. The legendaries were good, but...they were all OP.
      Rifles were good in BL1, and they made them DooDoo in BL2. While great overall in BL3, reload time made you want to ditch Vladov, which were pretty cool.
      Shotguns were good in BL1. Hit hard, and had sniper shotguns with S&S. Nice when electricity amd could pop Guardians in the sky.

    I think the main reason I like BL2 over BL3 is because BL3 suffers from a lot of repetition and emptiness. Many characters in BL3’s main, side, and DLC missions feel empty and/or like copies of eachother. The characters don’t feel too unique and they don’t compliment eachother and that sentiment carries through out the entire game. The poor pacing in almost every mission leaves myself and friends feeling empty because we have nothing to remember missions with besides a red-text item. The emptiness on Sanctuary 3 is part of why there is the major death in BL3, there is literally no one else to help on the ship. Sanctuary feels so empty that I find myself never wanting to spend time there but doing any missionsleaves me annoyed because the characters don’t feel new. While I do think both games could be improved, I much prefer BL2 because I can connect to the characters even though the gameplay mechanics in BL3 are wonderful.

    • @yourstatistacs
      @yourstatistacs  12 днів тому +5

      Not sure I get what you mean? You say you have trouble connecting with characters but most characters on Sanctuary 3 are characters from BL2 so I can't say I understand that. Pacing I can 100% agree with and I will say I like Sanctuary in BL2 better because it has Scooter and Zed but thats more of nostalgia than anything for me personally since they are BL1 characters. I enjoyed Ellie, Moxsy and Maurice on Sanctuary 3 personally, I thought they all have some good moments. I can't see BL3 feeling empty with characters like Traunt, private beans, the old man from the feeble and furious quest and plenty of other funny side quests. Probably one of the most heartfelt DLC is in BL3, that being DLC 4 when you go into Kriegs mind, lots of themes and messages written in there. I'd highly recommend giving the game another shot if you missed some of these things. But maybe I'm wrong and this just isn't your cup of tea and thats fine too

      @@yourstatistacs A different way to phrase it would probably be that I feel a sense of community missing in Sanctuary 3. I am usually only there for my vault and when going to my vault I don’t hear Brick and Mordecai talking in the room next to me but I have an NPC screaming my ear off. And I don’t feel a sense of accomplishment portrayed in Sanctuary 3 either. In Sanctuary 2 we are floating and even though Roland isn’t there it feels alright because we still made it. In BL3 there is Lilith’s symbol on the moon which I barely see. Don’t get me wrong I love Traunt and Private Beans but I like the established communities in BL2 like The Slabs, The Raiders, The Hodunks, The Zaffords, Hyperon, and the sense of family formed in the story and side missions. In BL3 there are the COV, The Raiders, Atlas, and Maliwan (If I am forgetting any please correct me but I cannot remember any more). I love BL3’s DLCS a lot too but I try to exclude DLCS because some might not be able to afford the DLC immediately and I want people in that situation to see what they are initally paying for in the base game. I don’t find myself spending much time in Moxxi’s bar on Sanctuary 3 because I prefer to go to her DLC instead. I like the game a lot but I wish there was more of a connection between characters in the game. I think this due in part to the way they approached their story development because many issues I have with the main story bleed into the side missions. I do love BL3 but largely for the DLC’s and I love Borderlands as a whole but I feel like the way they handled the story ruins a lot of the experience. I did really enjoy your video though! I forgot to leave that in my earlier comment :3

The way you said it, "...many issues I have with the main story bleed into the side missions" I think really resonates with me. The story, the pacing, the way they left a lot of classic characters (that are in the game) to the wayside and didn't use them as much, it does leave something to be desired with those characters. It was a complaint I had from the beginning, the lack of Mordecai, Brick, Tina and of course Zed and probably some others I can't think of. Didn't expect to watch borderlands content today, but this was super interesting! You've got me wanting to re-play through borderlands 3 now. I wasn't as put off by borderlands 3's story/dialogue as most people were, but story pacing is definitely what separates the two games, especially with most of borderlands 2's major story beats being through the echo or in skippable cutscenes. That being said, the pace at which borderlands 3 handles the progression from a power level standpoint is far better imo. I went through the first like 80% of borderlands 1 & 2 three times without ever even knowing legendries were a thing because most random encounters felt so inconsequential.

My favorite side quest is actually the atlas guy “Gonner MeLeggies” and all the leg puns he keeps making while bleeding out from losing his legs. That’s the funniest side quest ever in my opinion. And Amara became my favorite ever playable character and I never thought that anybody would beat maya in my mind, but I like Amara more. Just an opinion. And I agree with the character thing as well, Gaige for me was just not fun at all, and I’m pretty meh on Axton, but I also agree that all 4 in BL3 are fun. I think bl3 has the smoothest gameplay and coolest guns but the campaign is such a drag i will never again run through it, enemies and storyline and action goes to bl2 forsure

      I 100% respect that, I did run through Borderlands 3 a ton before modding to skip dialogue BUT after playing BL2, I feel like to play BL3 I need the dialogue skip mod. I know when it comes to preferences for Borderlands I tend to be in the minority but I love what I love and I hope Gearbox can knock it out of the park for Borderlands 4 (fingers crossed)

      I agree but at the same time I get where a lot of frustration can come from. I think the villain and pacing played a huge factor and hopefully Gearbox can see that for the development of BL4

    The only thing I love about BL2 is the base game story, everything else is insufferable for me. I play on console so all the quality of life mods are irrelevant.

      Surprised to see the amount of BL3 support/understanding in here lol hearing someone call BL2 insufferable was not something I expected to hear when I made this video but I respect it. The old game lack of QoLs and mechanics can be hard for some to go back to, personally doesn't bug me but the harsh drop rates in BL2 really do bother me. I feel somewhere down the middle of BL3 and BL2 drops would be great in my opinion.

      @@yourstatistacs the QOL mechanics, the outdated graphics, the guns that feel like toy guns that a kid is playing with going “bang bang” (I’m talking about how they feel when fired, not the design), the zero character play style diversity, UVHM(!!!) - that one’s a big “fk you Gearbox” sort of thing.

    • @yourstatistacs
      @yourstatistacs  10 днів тому

      I do think there is more diversity in BL3 but I tend to stay away from those covos personally cause I don't have much endgame experience but I have heard people say that BL2 doesn't have as much diversity and requires a lot of same equipment to get through OP levels and stuff

    • @Blacksmith574
      @Blacksmith574 10 днів тому +1

      @@yourstatistacs when going through the OP levels people usually stick to only one meta build per character as that is sorta mandatory if you want to reach OP10.
      Having only 1 OP10 capable build per character is depressing.
      It’s not like other non-meta builds can perform on a slightly lower level than THE meta build, they are just flat out useless.
      BL3 on the other hand lets you do whatever you want and still succeed to some degree and have fun playing the way you enjoy the most.
      Let’s look at Amara as an example, her strongest build is obviously melee, but you don’t have to use it, you can play Gunmara and still have fun and clear all the content, even if it isn’t the strongest Amara build.
      Same can be said about the other 3 vault hunters as well.

      100% agree. I love BL3 and have no shame in that but I can respect the complaints and such, I have plenty of complaints myself and I think I'm one of the biggest BL3 fans out there. It just means I have passion for the franchise and want to see it succeed, that being said I really hope Gearbox can make good on the story/villain and pacing in BL4 🙏

    Neither. Warframe. Great content, nails the power fantasy, you can play from beginning to end without spending a single dime you can even get platinum without spending a dime and the grind is a lot more fun.
    And before people try to “gotcha”me I played all the borderlands games I had my fun with them and I’ve seen all I need to see but if I want a loot based game it’s warframe no contest
