DIY Woodworking - Simple-Shaped TV Stand

This time, I built a TV stand to hold a giant television.
It's composed of laminated ash wood.
The ash seems substantial and has a strong feeling of solidity.
I tried to keep things as straightforward as possible.

elegant in it's simplicity and very pleasing aesthetically. I prefer dowels to screws but ash is a beautiful material and the oil finish really lets it show.

When joining pieces like the top to the vertical boards, you can avoid the problem of the pulling apart by making a pilot hole in the top piece that is just bigger than the screw thread, so that the top piece is able to 'float' , instead of being moved by the screw thread...
