Brad, thanks for the videos! New woodworker here and I appreciate you showing some of your mistakes. I am reminded that even the pros do it once in a while. After all, "the mark of a craftsman is not how few mistakes he makes, but how well he covers them up." Bought and completed a lot of your shop plans. Thanks!
A) 10:06-10:08 is THE defining shot for this video B) this is by far my favorite project of yours. it really shows the intricacies of a “simple-“looking table C) this is a coffee on which I would *actually* use coasters
This is a superb wood working book I`ve ever read, *TopFineWoodworking. Com* . Both novice and some skilled woodworker can gain a lot of general info using this reading material. I`ve been very amazed how frequently I use this to look up woods at places like to restore and salvage spots.?
I actually like the fact that you are using expensive tools. It shows the extent to what can be done given the proper knowledge and equipment. If I had the money to spare, I would put together a shop like that as well.
This is funny seeing someone else struggle with dowels! After my first time trying dowels with inferior tools, I went out and bought the JessEm Master Kit and haven't looked back! Alignment is really easy.
I saw this video and I actually made the same kind of coffee table but with different wood and different measurements. Worked out great though! I was 13 when I made it now I’m 14! It was a long build especially since we used mortise and tenon joints for the pieces of wood under the table tops and we had to cut and chisel them with a router and some of chisels. Basically we didn’t exactly have the tools for the job but it still came out great!
Gorgeous table! That wood's beautiful, and the design is simple yet elegant. Well done! One tip I once saw for notching out a shelf to a rounded leg, was to use the drill press and a drill bit size equal to the leg's round-over radius in the corner of the notch, then band-saw up to this hole, leaving a rounded notch that perfectly matches the leg. But that's more for larger round-overs. Here the difference is so small, it's unnoticeable.
I almost forgot, but you are up till now the only one who made this very important remark: checking that everything is square! You wouldn't believe how may projects go pear shaped, almost litterary because people forget to check the corners, if they're really square!
My favorite McGuiver is when he is locked inside a fireplace of a cabin. He breaks his bonds or not and braces himself with his back against the chimney walls and feet out to inch worm his way all the way to the top. Then he rolls off the roof or something and he hot wires a dirt bike. The best part for me is that he accurately teaches you how to bypass the key start and it’s on TV. Loved the 80’s...
As usual Brad, detailed explanations of how the job was done. Good to see you showed your mistakes too. Far to many guys edit that out. We need to see the mistakes so we've got an idea how to fix them when we make the same ones. No baltic birch in this one.... The walnut looks great. Thanks for sharing.
Hello Brad, I purchased your plans and built your table but I used red oak and all dowel joinery oh and added breadboard ends finished it off with conversion varnish came out looking great thanks for the plans!
Looks amazing. Please do like a house tour with all the pieces of your furniture in place. I think it would be great to see your creations where they belong and how they fit with each other.
Walnut is so beautiful and great to work with. I scored some great boards for free off of Craigslist. The guy was moving and they were leftovers from a home renovation.
Just made a table that looks pretty much the same. Using a hand drill, minor saw and a hammer. :DHand sanded everything and used dowel joints. Came out pretty okay. The lower panel needs to be switched out because i didnt cut it perfectly but its no biggie! Thanks for the good video!
Thanks for the link to the oil finish. I'm building a computer desk soon and was looking at what I could use to give the black walnut a nice finish without changing the color of it. Very nice looking table.
Looks like I’m becoming a regular supporter of the Fix This Build That show. I just purchased these plans and hope to get it built for my wife by Christmas Eve! Hoping to add a lift top to it however. 👍🙏
Love your work. I am so going to try to make a nail tech table with white pvc sheet. Since wood is not a good material for the nail products. Thank you so much for the idea and explaining everything so nice. 🥰
I am from Indonesia. really like the tutorial on making everything made of wood. and I just learned and like wood and just have a youtube channel. you are one of the teachers who taught me about wood. thank you very much
One tip for the hot glue - IPA or Acetone will break the bond of the glue making it come off clean and easy. I still prefer the tape+CA, but sometimes hot glue works better. Nice build, the table looks great.
Has numerous details in this woodwork book *TopFineWoodworking. Com* . The book also displays several designs and descriptions on the materials used for various woodworking processes and also the guidelines on completing various procedures appropriately. In other words, I`m happy using this book, especially in the process of learning about wood working.?
It came out great! A lot of work went into milling the rough lumber. If you don't already have one, maybe you can add a domino joiner to your expensive bag of tricks.
Can you please help me because I can’t see to get and kept my table legs square. Get you make a video on legs and tables not square and make them square. Y’all are great wood workers but I’m a beginner and would love to figure out why
Beautiful work, and walnut is one of my favorite woods for furniture. Only a small detail, I would not leave the corners so sharp on a thing that stands close to the height of the knee... but hey... you are the pro ^_^ 14:22
Not certain about the points made but ,if anyone else wants to learn about how to start a woodworking business try Bablim Woodwork Cash Booster ( search on google ) ? Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my neighbor got great results with it.
Nice table! When using mortise and tenon where both tenons meet at the same mortis, I cut the tenant at 45° and then sold it they can share the same mortises. You could probably do the same with a towel
I assembled a shed with these plan [Link Here== *TopFineWoodworking. Com* ]. The guidelines were clear and simple to execute. Indeed, even an amateur can have the capacity to construct quite fast using this plan. I'm glad I purchased the plan. It additionally spared me much cost.?
Well I am about ready to tackle this project! All I need now is the 15 thousand dollars worth of tools you used in the video to make it!
wabash join a makers space!
This is a vid for people with loads of money, space and time.
I refuse!!
Gimme a chisel i'm doin' this the ole fashion way!
He doesnt even have the expensive stuff lol. Most of it is table top smaller versions
Don't forget about the $1500 in wood
Brad, thanks for the videos! New woodworker here and I appreciate you showing some of your mistakes. I am reminded that even the pros do it once in a while. Glad you're enjoying the mistakes...hope you don't make the same ones 😃
Love the tip about using tape wrapped around the ends to prevent glue squeeze out!
It's not simple. It's sophisticated.
Thanks for keeping the DIYer in mind.

Thanks, Joshua! I love seeing that walnut come out of the sander :)
Good to see you branch out into more traditional woodworking. Great job as always

First having all these tools and then cool part how to use them to make this master peace ✌🏼.. love your work and videos..

the result is amazing. the color and design of the table is excellent

Great build. Love the witty comments along the build!
Gotta add a little levity to life
That is so pretty. Walnut has always been my favorite. I love your funny banter as you build.
That looks on point
What a finish. So awesome
Love it. Nothing wrong with simple design, it lets the wood do the talking.
Great sense of humor ! Looked like a fun build. Thanks for sharing !!!!

MacGyver was the best!
Beautiful!! I love working with walnut

No baltic birch in this one.... The walnut looks great. Thanks for sharing.
I love watching your videos even if I’m not building anything. So therapeutic
Great project brother. I love the buicketed mouthed method. Worked great
MacGyver is cool, but MacGruber is the best. Nice coffee table! Its extra walnutty!
Probably needs more epoxy though, right? 😜
Fix This Build That epoxy is ALWAYS the answer! Seriously though, lots of great tips and funny moments in this one.
You could say it's a nutty build
That is so amazing. Im going to try build my own coffee table this summer as a little project to pass the time
Wow, this is impressive! My sister needs one of these for her kids, so I know what I'll be building for next Christmas!
Hello Brad, I purchased your plans and built your table but I used red oak and all dowel joinery oh and added breadboard ends finished it off with conversion varnish came out looking great thanks for the plans!
Awesome build! Thanks for the video.
Brad, very nice work my friend. I agree with the chamfered edges, it makes the entire design work together. Love your channel.
thanks, Felix!
So beautiful, but, alas, really small workshop, no bandsaw, no drum sander, benchtop jointer...really enjoy the videos!
Looks amazing. Please do like a house tour with all the pieces of your furniture in place. I think it would be great to see your creations where they belong and how they fit with each other.
that would be a fun video!
Walnut is so beautiful and great to work with. I scored some great boards for free off of Craigslist. The guy was moving and they were leftovers from a home renovation.
Wow, that's a killer find!
Love the idea of the double parallel clamps as a vise.
like a like bonus feature 😀
In my head I could smell that Rubio. Love it.
Eres el mejor. Me gusta todos tu prolle tos

At 11:52 I was screaming "Wrong side of the line!" But you managed to fix it. And gosh, that's come out pretty.
Thanks for the link to the oil finish. I'm building a computer desk soon and was looking at what I could use to give the black walnut a nice finish without changing the color of it. Very nice looking table.
Walnut, such a majestic wood. I envy you for those nice machines.

This looks awesome. Great work
Nice work. I'd love that table!
That little sound byte of Marc's "Bubinga!" had me laughing. Nice video, too. Well shot, thorough detail, to the point.
Beautifully simple. Great looking build.

that's awesome! Good luck on your channel 👍
Nice project, great tips! And, a high five for having one of the few drill presses that do not have a rusty column!
One tip for the hot glue - IPA or Acetone will break the bond of the glue making it come off clean and easy. I still prefer the tape+CA, but sometimes hot glue works better. Nice build, the table looks great.
Beautiful table, though. Love your videos!
thanks!

nice build brad 👍
That's a simple, yet friggin beautiful, coffee table. By simple I mean design. In my limited experience I have the most fun milling down the lumber.
Amazing project
That’s beautiful. Well done. 👍 👍
That’s a hell of a sponsor..... lucky🥺
Wow! Beautiful!!
I foresee myself buying these plans soon
Well thanks in advance!
Beautiful end result.
Beautiful work! You really made it look easy
It came out great! A lot of work went into milling the rough lumber. If you don't already have one, maybe you can add a domino joiner to your expensive bag of tricks.
I'll probably add one some day :)
Nice work!
You can get easy to follow plans for this build (with easier joinery if you want it) here:

Fix This Build That, it's so amazing. I interest your tools, complete to do anything. I know their price are expensive, but worth it 😁👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻😔
Can you please help me because I can’t see to get and kept my table legs square. Get you make a video on legs and tables not square and make them square. Y’all are great wood workers but I’m a beginner and would love to figure out why

Beautiful!!!! You are such a joy to watch! You explain everything so well! Peace and Good Fortune to you and your family!!!
thank you 😀
Biggest fan
I spend so much time coveting the Festool Domino that I forget how good a dowel jig can be! Go the dowel jig I say!
I came across this video, watched it and now I have to subscribe.
Thanks for the sub 👍
This is a great build. The table looks amazing. Love the walnut. Very worth the watch.
thanks, Angie!
Nice table! When using mortise and tenon where both tenons meet at the same mortis, I cut the tenant at 45° and then sold it they can share the same mortises. You could probably do the same with a towel
Looks awesome!
Cool I love your channel so much I hope you make more videos next year
As always, I love builds and your commentary. Thanks again
