    I had the Micro Roni, sold it. Why ? I would not hold the zero, and there is no way for the gun to vent heat and debris. After a session with moderate use the slide cooks and the gun gets filthy! I added a 19MOS slide and added a red dot it either runs on my fab defense cobra or the recover tactical 2020. I tried the UR20 from recover tactical and it is garbage for the reasons you just clearly explained. Recover tactical is trying again with their glass breaker GB20 ? This will also fail. As the PDW market continues to grow, the marketeers are going to continue to pedal tacticool trash. Your system works all day and every day!

    So true. I'm essentially a rookie shooting a handgun. However what you said at 4:50 is true for me. I took License to Carry class here in Texas and first round used fmj's. Eghhhh! Made a milk jug look small. I then switched to Rem HTP hollowpoints... night & day difference. Hole touching hole.

    Fascinating.. Makes perfect sense to me. Question I would have for you is what about adapter sights like the recover 20/20 has. So as you know the 20/20 has a plastic adapter that screws on to the frame of the slide and its a combo charging handle and square sight I think that's what its called. It does not have a red dot and I have to use the regular glock sights to aim. What's your take on that one. I want to use the 20/20 as a PDW/truck gun.

    • @keithridlen7122
      @keithridlen7122 6 місяців тому +1

      When using the 20/20 you have to really scrunch your neck and shoulders to get down low enough to look at the pistol sights. I would argue that having a red dot mounted on your slide is a non negotiable - it is a must have. I wish they would put a steeper decline on the brace of the 20/20 this would give you a better shoulder feel/ eye & sight alignment

    Flux raider for the win! The p320 is a much better candidate for pdw type “chassis” as the trigger pack is the firearm. So they can make a grip module with a brace/stock and you just drop in the trigger and slide.
    Pdw philosophy… would be way better IMO to have a small pistol caliber weapon in public than a small rifle. The news has painted a picture about the ar15 and if someone sees you with a rifle during an active shooter event who will they think the bad guy is. A small pdw that can easily/quickly be concealed/ deployed for that 1 reason is worth it a million times over. Watch for more people to come out with systems for the p320 it’s way easier and way stronger than any of the Glock ones.

    • @Tier1Citizen
      @Tier1Citizen  2 роки тому +2

      I like that one but I don't carry a P320. I want mag compatibility across the board. I do think that the active killer thing is a good point. You can get away with hiding one of these easily so that you don't accidentally get waxed by another good guy. .

    • @itsamk18-ish
      @itsamk18-ish 2 роки тому

      @@ImperiumLibertas they have a flux brace for the Glock … they haven’t had any for awhile but they do have another one in the works. The current one uses the light rail to mount a mag carrier/ not a vertical grip lol and the trigger housing pin to hold the brace.
      If Glock made a trigger pack like sig it would be a lot easier to make a brace system for it seeing as the flux raider isn’t a firearm but Glock frames are.

      It wouldn't work for me since I am a Glock user. Nice PSA! This really needs to be discussed. Chassis systems like the CAA MCK 2.0 are less then worthless. (Except for as expensive range toys or movie props.) If you look at them wrong, they will lose their zero. Even racking the slide will put them out. Let alone, removing the pistol and reinstalling it. Have you ever noticed that the channels peddling those, never stretch out the distance? 10 to 15 yards max. What's the point of doing that to your pistol, If you can't even reach out with it?? Most competent shooters can make those shots, without all the extra bulk strapped to their pistol. Plus, most times, they turn your very reliable Glock, into a Jam-0-Matic. Yet CAA keeps selling 'em like hotcakes. I just don't get it. Thanks for being one of the few voices denouncing these products!! Rant over.

    I decided to go the PDW route via a REALLY short 5.56 pistol build simply because even though I'm getting just over 9mm velocities with heavier bullets or decent speeds with XM193, I wanted the extra punch the 5.56 affords with a tad higher velocity.
    Collapsed, my 5.9" 5.56 PDW pistol build measures at roughly 20.5" and fits in a backpack like a glove! However, everytime I see this G17 PDW come out, I want one! Lol

      @@OTG_Zulu Respectfully, I get that a lot. However, even with M855 I'm still pushing roughly 1,955 fps and with XM193 I'm pushing roughly 2,202 fps. Yeah, I get that it's basically a glorified .22LR at those velocities, but that is more than enough pop for the distances/niche this weapon is designed to fill (75 yards in); hence PDW.
      Those are just average velocities and I certainly don't put all my stock/faith in ballistic charts. I'm a big proponent of multiple shots on target as well as shot placement. For those reasons and those reasons alone, I have full confidence in the platform.

    I don't like the RC20/20 pic rail attachment but... Putting a riser on it will give you the perfect eye/sight alignment.

    • @Tier1Citizen

Also, on another note: My mother shoots alot as well but only follows maybe 2 or 3 "guntubers" and this channel is one of them. Her reasoning is exactly as he stated in the video and that's beneficial, straight forward knowledge that's given confidently and with certainty. No wishy-washy explanations that's afraid to insult or upset the ones with differing opinions or tactical choices. She also really likes that you're a man of God. 🙏🙏🙏
    Also - I've recently fallen in love with the holosun 507c with PA chevron reticle. For years I've always been a fan of the simple 6moa dot reticle but had the opportunity to use the chevron reticle on a buddies Gen 5 glock 17. I immediately fell in love with the design and purchased both a green and red version. It's FAR easier to now consistently hit further targets and was almost night and day when it came to reliably and accurately finding the reticle under fast firing recoil control. I can't really explain it that well but with the dot under recoil it turns into almost like a blurry thin, stretched out rectangle that forced me to almost an exact cadence of fire if I wanted to be accurate. The chevron I can somehow make out it's shape perfectly and the reticle doesn't blur into a different shape or obscure the target. I'm able to easily distinguish its shape much more easily.

    Cogent points, great knowledge drop as always, and well explained. Oh and just to bust your chops, it is not pronounced "Jar-Gone" but rather "Jar-Gun"...

      I pronounce some words oddly because English is my second language. I grew up in FL which is a weird mix of North and South.

      Well then you fully get how it is that we view the English language. We tend to look at it very similarly to Spanish in that we tend to want to pronounce every letter in a word.

    Training ammo hiccups, the reason we prefer our exceptionally well done reloads to train with when it comes to pistol ammo. Match the weight of Training ammo to carry ammo. We would love to come train with you Abner, but you do not allow reloaded ammo. 😪

    • @Tier1Citizen
      @Tier1Citizen  2 роки тому

      Correct. Reloads pose a risk that is not worth the potential for injury to self or another student. It's also a great way to get your trainer's insurance yanked on you. It sucks but it's the reality of the world we live in.

      We understand the point you are making but the facts are that our personal reloads are safer than most of the crappy so called training ammo out there.

      @@Tier1Citizen Yes, there are far too many shops and individuals that make crappy reloads and no way to tell one from another.

      Yeah kinda like that. I wish Glock would make a PDW that runs like their Glocks do. Loading mag to fist is more efficient than loading into a magwell that's in front of your hand.

    In my opinion to use optics and PDW on handguns are a waste! They are just for the cool factor but in a realistic World/Self-defense they are worthless.

    • @Tier1Citizen
      @Tier1Citizen  2 роки тому +1

      You are so very wrong. There's a reason that some Tier 1 Units choose PDW's for their work. They know that rifles are too long and bulky for extremely close CQC, and handguns alone are far too inaccurate for surgical shooting. This is why they choose PDW's.
