    Got my G17 Gen.1 set up with the recovery 20/20.....Holy Crap....the confidence level, and my tactical drills have improved immensely😎👍👍your points on the advantage, Tactical wise, is spot on Sir. Also my situational awareness has greatly improved as well, due to the “ ready position “ my body, and my weapon is in. Thanks for sharing friend 😎🙏🇺🇸🇵🇭🇺🇸🇵🇭🇺🇸🇵🇭👍

    Till the NFA gets struck down get the recover tactical brace version it fold up for nice storage better ergos than flux and the raised pic rail for non reciprocating red dot on top is amazing.
    I agree 100% having a pdw on you is something that is actually possible the chances of having a AR15 pistol always in your vehicle… I mean I ain’t gonna lie i do that still most the time haha. But it’s not nearly as compact as a g17 in a recover tactical brace with two 30rd mags the extra mag pouch/40degree grip is amazing. Does exactly what this guy wants his grip to do.

    Once again very informative material i love the fact that you tell it the way it is with out sugar coating your material thats half the problem in this country people tell u what u want to hear not what u need to hear im in the process of building my own gs 17 your right they absolutely excel in cqc as a point and shoot weapons system that has 6 points of contract that can be shot accurately at acceptable distance great video once again very informative material

      I think the majority of the time it's a case of someone trying to sell you something. I'm not trying to sell you something, I'm just offering my opinion based on lots of experience.

    I'm using an older Micro Roni brace in a g17. I love it. I've wondered about getting a recover 2020 or similar.

      Get the 20/20... Extremely affordable, and works as advertised. Make sure your pistol has an RMR/RDS installed. The set up will allow for much faster target acquisition, and quicker follow up shots.

    • @Tier1Citizen
      @Tier1Citizen  2 роки тому +1

      Yes it is very cool but try that at a class where you're firing 1000 rounds over three days and you will end up with your vision suffering something binocular diplopia. I had it and it took several days for the double vision to clear. You just can't take that much impact to your face without serious consequences.

      I wouldn't look at any budget optics. Those optics are range toys. No matter how many online ninjas tell you that their optic has never failed them, I still wouldn't trust any optic from anyone other than Aimpoint and Trijicon.

    Worrying about offsets is a training deficiency. There’s a reason why tons of units and teams are switching to higher mounts now. If worrying that a bad guy is always wearing armor, having a rifle and getting center mass shots simply makes more sense.

    Hey Abner, thinking about this and I think you may have mentioned it in a succeeding video to this. What are your thoughts on this vs a glock mag AR platform with a similar length barrel and collapsible brace? Overall length should be similar especially with a Deadfoot Arms SCW system. The height over bore would certainly be an issue.... Thanks for the help

    • @Tier1Citizen
      @Tier1Citizen  4 роки тому +3

      An AR-15 or dedicated PDW based pistol caliber weapon is already preferred over a handgun due to their ability to reach out further. However, in a pinch this will do.

    MCk just dropped a version for the sd9s

    • @Tier1Citizen
      @Tier1Citizen  3 роки тому +2

      I would avoid the MCK's. That product line is a pirated design off of the original patent held by Moshe Oz. It is an inferior and dangerous design. Why? Simple, it has no integrated trigger safety. The company making those is counting on the fact that most shooters are into cool guy plinking where they stand around and buzz off mags of ammo. The MCK's are fine if that is what one is after. However, if you're looking for a serious self defense set up the MCK's will not suit your needs, and they'll actually put you in danger. Here is a link that you should look at, it details what I'm referring to. I know what I'm talking about, I was around when the first RONI's were coming into the country, I did the first tests on them and gave feedback to the real CAA that was used to further develop the product. caaindustries.com/caa%20industries%20patent%20claims%20clarafications%2001-10-2020.pdf

    Yes PDW is a better choice in CQC, but NOT in pistol caliber. That's what I have an AUG and PTR91 8.5" sbr for, BUT, are kind of "heavy" when used for extended periods of time.
    I also do have 2 new PCC I bought in Jan 2021, GHM9 and GHM45 both will be sbr'd and both will each have their own suppressor. Mainly for the ladies as the AUG and PTR91 are a lot louder and heavier for most females. :)
