      @@Tier1Citizen Right, which then with that same logic we could apply to any single firearm part so why does this type of part get tossed? I think the better thing to do is by high quality and inspect your parts initially and then often after they are installed. Its just part of the game with mechanical things. Most end users dont understand the platform the way that they should anyways, so as a whole everyone should just simply be better at being a owner and user of these tools instead of just saying "Dont use any type of folding unit on a DIed buffered AR.

    Loved everything about the video except your comments on 300 Blackout not being common. US Spec Ops Command does use 300 Blackout across different branches. That's actually why it is gaining popularity very fast in the shooting community. It hits hard, it's compact and can be silenced easily in the M4 platform. I agree that its not as common as 5.56 or 308, but it is a rising star.
    The church shooting video was pretty wild. You gotta keep your head on a swivel at all times. I was surprised how fast that started and ended.

    I like what you said minuet the barrel length. Glad you realize bag guns suck as a concept, so it makes my points a bit easier to get across.
    If I need a sub 11.5” AR it’s gunna be 300 blackout. 5.56 has a hard drop off curve after 10” when it comes to bullets expansion/fragmentation reliability. Even TAP 75gr SBR is now meh out to 100 yards with a 7.5” very unlikely to get expansion and thus have the round torpedo through the person. 300 blackout TAP 110gr is effective out of 5”(if it’s 1:5 twist) to 150 yard and doesn’t fail to expand. Even with the best SBR bullet the 77gr TMK 5.56 isn’t reliable as a round because now your ammo is just a single load and bullet while being $1.95/per with non bulk pricing.
    Bag guns suck, so I have a truck guns in a locked seat locker. It’s a 14” pinned 5.56 gun, a 18” AR10 6.5 creed or 10.5 300 blackout. Where I’m going is what decides what I’m taking. I rarely take the 10.5 because my line of sight is uncomfortably too far for its effectiveness. All 3 guns are hearing safe with their suppressors. The 5.56 has a full size 5.56 polonium keymo, the AR10 has a hydrogen L stub thread, and the 300 blackout has the polonium 30 stub thread.
    I carry a truck gun for if I’m in a area where society has collapsed, not to respond to shootings.

      @ShepherdOfTheSilkies so if I have a backpack, whether or not it has a gun in it, I'm just being robbed? I'm not understanding. Have you considered a 5 1/2 inch rattler in 556? For those who prefer 300 blackout, they could carry a Rattler in that configuration and keep the other barrel with them if they were to run out of ammo and be able to switch over to 556 fairly quickly. At that point three zeroing might be a concern but it depends on the accuracy and distance standard that you would hold your kit to under those circumstances. The majority of emergencies that would require a rifle I feel would be very short-term and duration. For the extended scenario where are you are trying to beg borrow or barter for ammo you would be able to then swap your barrel. Plus it is shorter overall and folds as it is designed to do so.

    As a former 07 manufacturer who focused on the M4 platform, I am curious by the statement regarding "rust" in the folding unit. Do you mean carbon build up??? I spent a lot of time to understand the finer intricacies of the M4 platform, so beyond a laymen understanding can you expand on that statement. The only steel component is the carrier so i dont understand where "rust" is coming from. Ive worked with the two most popular side folding units and neither use large steel parts. Why doesnt lube not prevent said rust? Or are you saying that because most people will neglect to maintain their weapon, that it will induce failure?? I just never understood it, when you keep trying to make an AR more compact its just adding weight and more parts to break. There are plenty of guns that were designed to be compact such as glocks with stocks etc that imo i just feel id be better of with my glock and the recover brace then making my ar buffer fold and my barrel detaching etc.

      Glock with a chassis is still a pistol round, which sucks. 11.5” AR with folder, not so sucky. That “added weight” makes the gun feel more balanced since all the weight of an AR is typically at the front and now you’ve added some to the rear. Also, it’s not a crazy piece of technology that will just break out of nowhere lol

      @@andrewcopeland1517 ok so actually hear me out right. WW3 probably isn't going to happen statistically but what will is a natural disaster. Let's say you are vacationing in an area and it is flooding, and your trying to get to a different area hoofing it and you want protection while doing so. It's going to go over a lot better with a weapon that you can 100 percent hide on your body and deploy fast, all you are going to have done with an AR hanging off you is get shot by a humanitarian aid officer or soldier. People are spoon fed this sexy "a boy and his dog" and fallout scenario by these idiots telling you that "you need an AR" "I don't leave my house without 12 magazines" etc and you know what? When they were in service it worked for them and that's great but we aren't and even if shit goes south we are still civilians and have to remain covert because we don't have the law backing us up like in a warzone in Afghanistan where we can carry whatever we want and waist the enemy. We have to still worry about police, military etc trying to disarm us and all the idiots running around with huge ass guns because they listen to individuals from war zones are going to get it first. Soldiers need to stop giving bad advice to civilians because we don't have an army backing our actions up and we need to stop listening. Those anecdotes they give us are great for is things go south and your protecting your home in a total societal collapse but not 99 percent of disasters that will actually happen.

    It kind of sucks how much the 5.56 cartridge depends on velocity as far as terminal ballistics are concerned. That's really where 300 shines. You can send that sucker through a tiny barrel and still get wonderful terminal results while 5.56 turns into 22lr on steroids with anything shorter than 12". Of course shot placement and training will always be king and you can definitely pair good, albeit exspensive ammunition with the shorter 5.56 rifles.
    Even with all that there's still this tiny hamster wheel going round and round in my head trying to convince myself anything shorter than 16" in 5.56 is a complete waste but I still 100% agree with what you said in the start of the video. 5.56 is EVERYWHERE and same goes for 22lr & 9mm. I would hate to be on the last mag of 300blk or even 308 for that matter when something drastic has happened to supply or civil unrest. I'm very curious where this whole pistol brace ruling will be headed as well. I've wanted a "pistol" size rifle for awhile now.... The last thing I want to do is give 200 bucks to the government and be put on the "hot" list just to legally own such a thing...

    • @GUARDIAN.13
      @GUARDIAN.13 10 місяців тому +1

      The problem with barrels shorter than 14 inches is 5.56 isn't actually the performance but the people that don't use it insisting that it is horrible. When looking at 5.56 in shorter barrels you can't compare it to itself in longer barrels you have to compare it to other things you would be using. Is 5.56 out of a 7.5 as good as it out of a 20"; well no it's horrible but it's still way better than 45s 9mms 40s etc etc at the same length. Long story short if you shoot someone inside of 200 yards with a 5.56 from a 7.5 barrel they are stopping what they are doing period.
