I love how you talked about staying on track and not confusing the conversation! I'm one who is constantly reading and then saying, maybe I should try this or that, and it's hard to give options a fair chance.

Loved this conversion!! Have had gut issues for 15 years, lots of naturopaths...vitamins, herbs etc. Its a full time job trying to understand my body and what its telling me.. ..but so worth while!

In July my TSH was 6.8. Today (October 8) it was 2.9. Thank God I listen to doctors like you two. All I did was cut out gluten. I would have never known to try that were it not for you.

video request: diet options and advice for people stuck on elimination diet with only some improvement, but are on loooooong waitlists (I was rejected for 1.5 yrs from even being added to a waitlist, now finally accepted in May but will not have first appointment for another 2 to 4 months since they still have not cleared the covid backlog) to get professional medical help, with no money to hire you for help in the meantime. How can we add reactive foods back in without suffering consequences? for SIBO, isn’t that like arming the enemy? for H.I. doesn't that overflow the histamine bucket that is already so hard to manage already? and make it harder to heal SIBO? I keep hearing that the diet shouldn't last long, which made sense back when I thought the diet was supposed to be the cure... but instead, it is only partial relief, and if I mess up, then I suffer greatly. I do fear that foods once safe are starting to become a problem, but I have nothing left to replace them with. There are also new signs of nutritional deficiencies and hormone disruption that add to the worries. So what can people like me do in the meantime?

Alana, you are not alone! Exactly and I mean EXACTLY what you have typed out in this paragraph is where I am at. I have been on a restrictive form of Carnivore for 2 months, and although there may have been times I added a little wiggle room (and suffered symptoms from it) I never branched far out, such as adding some garlic to my steak-and-salt-only diet. I began this diet with the belief this was the final and ultimate step to cure my acne and mental exhaustion/brain fog- and although it has dramatically kept my symptoms under control, I have also reached a point where it seems not to be enough. I broke out all over my chin and lips, and it has led me to make the conclusion the diet is NOT ENOUGH. But then again, what is next? Is it my environment? I am a barber, I am around a mixture of chemicals 5 days a week. I am making changes there, however then again, for the general person, what would be the next step if an elimination diet still has not done the trick? Address hormone disruption or nutritional deficiencies? I would say you and I are in similar situations and perhaps it is time to address nutritional deficiencies with supplementation.

It can be, though it’s basically just an extreme elimination diet. People usually can benefit without having to go as extreme
