    I successfully put my Hashimoto’s into remission in just three months by following your protocol of vitamin D, probiotics, selenium, and inositol supplements. As I have subclinical hypothyroidism with elevated TSH and normal T4, my next goal is to gradually come off thyroxine medication.

    I'm using my Life Pro box red/NIR light on my knee and feet as I right. My knee started hurting from carrying heavy stuff up and down steps (I'm 72). I take collagen and use castor oil, my LifePro vibration platform and red/NIR light on the knee and it feels better in a day or 2. Still carrying stuff up and down stairs. Glad you are addressing this therapy. I also started taking Lugol's iodine drops and feel more energy and less weight gain for the first time ever. I'll try the red light on my thyroid too, Thanks for your great information.

    I had severe asthma for decades. I was on prescribed meds for 30 years. After I experienced covid and quickly recovered using the 10% inject we aren't supposed to discuss, I noticed fibrous lungs. I went back to the infrared sauna at my gym and used it maybe 4 times for 45 min. Within 2 weeks it was gone and I've never had trouble since.
    I have two Amazon red infrared lights. One was under $20, one under $50. I know they both work because it's just not myself using them, but my adult son and my husband for different reasons. All of us have seen improvements with our issues.

    I am currently using a red light for chronic fatigue from long covid and to help my peripheral neuropathy discomfort. I was very interested to watch this video and have the possibility of helping my mild Hashimoto's (no meds yet). God created the NIR in the sun, so it makes sense we need it - and since getting into the early and late sunshine is hard in the winter, a device makes sense to use.

    Thank you very much Dr Ruscio 👍really enjoyed this video, matter of fact, cogent and straightforward. Red light at 670 nanometres at low power of 8 milliwatts per cm2 is safe for the eyes by the way, in the morning, for 3 minutes once / twice a week (low power like this is ok for the eyes, no lasers though! ) . I agree many of the red light devices you see are way overpriced. This is great information, I had a demi-thyroidectomy several years back and take levithyroxine daily. I will start to use red light on my thyroid more regularly, great to see these results. I have improved my color and night vision and slowed the ageing of my eyes with red light, if anyone is interested please refer to my tube.

    I use red light therapy for my ME and I feel it increases my resilience to developing PEM. I still get it, but it seems to take more activity to get it. Once I've developed PEM I think it helps recovery time. Not as good as lying in the sun tbh, but doesn't trigger my rosacea like the sun does and not that sunny here in the UK! I use Red Light Man. 4 wave lengths compared to the 7 of Platinum recommended here, but £170 cheaper for similar size and number of lights and still a good range of wavelengths.

    I have Hashis and I have used Cood Laser to fix wrestling and bodybuilding injuries in the psy and my husband too. I was watching a video with an acupuncturist talking about fixing thyroid thru exercises. I know exercise stimulates blood flow. He said it’s important to free up neuropathways in the cervical spine to allow signals and blood flow to get thru. I was like “hey what if I used my Red Light Therapy on my neck.” And I searched UA-cam to see if anybody else had ever tried it and I stumbled upon this JUST released great video here! Thanks for the video! This is great!!!!

    I have a Mito panel that I purchased for the skin benefits . I’ve been using it for a couple years now and the skin improvement is dramatic. But also, I recently had a checkup with my eye dr and he said that one of my eyes had a slight improvement. I’ve had pretty bad eyesight with the exact same prescription for 47 years, never has changed, until this visit. It wasn’t dramatic but still an improvement. Was it the red light? Maybe.

    I always wondered about using traditional wood stove for IR light source. Many of them come with a large "window" so one can feel the heat radiating right away, without waiting for the whole stove to warm up. I was growing up in a home with those stoves and remember that we frequently were enjoying the radiation by sitting close to them.
    Thank you for the important and reliable information you provide.

    • @singamajigy
      @singamajigy 3 місяці тому +2

      I think the IR you can feel as heat is longer wavelength than the near IR used in light therapy.

    • @ascendingreality
      @ascendingreality 3 місяці тому +5

      I love a nice wood stove fire. But if I think scientific about it I don’t think it’s efficient enough for red light therapy. The light is spread out and it’s inconsistent. Also you would have to sit so close to the stove that you would burn yourself. So I think it’s therapeutic and wonderful but not healing as controlled red light therapy. Not an expert though. Only a science teacher.

    • @gezapapp9318
      @gezapapp9318 3 місяці тому +4

      @@ascendingreality Yes, they use a narrow band of IR radiation but exactly why is it? Is it because that is know to be the most efficient application OR that is technically most feasible? My suspicion is that the latter one is the case. Mitochondrial absorption curves are not restricted to a narrow band.
      Looking at black body radiation below 1000K we see a lot more energy emitted in the IR region than visible light.
      Also, some traditional healers recommend to expose our selves to low intensity Sun radiation early in the morning or late in the afternoon. May be they were onto something without even knowing about the existence of mitochondria.
      Of course I am not an expert and would only hope that a knowledgeable person could explain it to me.

    Here is the thing. Once thyroid cell are destroyed by TPO antibodies, they don’t grow back. It’s like an amputation of a limb. Even if you could get the antibodies to go away totally, which to my knowledge has never happened it’s important to pay attention and understand all symptoms of low thyroid and include blood test several times a year. Your entire metabolic health depends on it.

    Fyi, none of the red light therapy companies are FDA ‘approved’. Red light therapy has been ‘cleared’ by the FDA as a low risk modality. To get FDA approval requires extensive clinical trials. Companies like Platinum and others simply register their products with the FDA for marketing purposes.

      Part of this video was on hypothyroid and 6.7 is pretty high abnormal TSH. Was the top of the range for this lab test 4.0? Even 3 or higher can be considered subclinical hypo and cause symptoms. i was told I was subclinical for years and felt terrible. Yes this red light therapy can help; try it and keep retesting every few months. By the way most doctors don't understand thyroid and the lab tests. TSH is not the most important test, T3 and T4 should test in the top one third of the range or else that is also subclinical and not healthy. ALso endocrinologists are the worst doctors to use for thyroid as they only care about lab tests and don't judge by how the patient feels. Simply put I would start the red light usage and keep watching results, how your son feels and blood work, but thyroid patients need to educate themselves and learn more than the doctors know(unless you have good doctor like Dr. Ruscio here in this video or dr. Mark Hyman or some others.

The last time they went way up was because I was taking Biotin in a supplement. Maybe for skin? Once I stopped that, they came back down. There are many reasons that the numbers may up and down.

    Wow, amazing! What do you think of the Solawave red LED devices? I got one that had a throat collar, so it’s perfect for the thyroid. It has a red light (630 nanometers) and near-infrared (830 nanometers.) They have specials and sales so I was able to get one for less than $200, maybe $160. Got this for aging skin but thrilled to find out it can help with thyroid health. Thank you for this video!

    Hi Michael, almost seems like checking what Jack Kruse has to say might be worthwhile for you. Vermont talks may be worth a try? Thyroid gets damaged by non native, ill-timed (non circadian) electromagnetic radiation (light).
    And perhaps 'photobiomodulation' is just a new sphere to facilitate making profit through technology that attempts to substitute for the sunlight we should be exposed to. Great marketing. I'm far from making the point that PBM doesn't work. On the contrary, the fact that it has a tangible impact contributes to the impressive marketing power, but could we just avoid non native radiation and enjoy outdoors from dawn to dusk? What a shame getting people outdoors and away from non native radiation is so hard to convert into obscene profits.

    • @theuranianastrologer14

      You really need to use 830nm because the 630nm only reaches the skin. 830 goes deep into the body, that is why it is exclusively used in all of the testing.

      I dont know if this helps but I also developed itching in my belly button after starting probiotics. It’s gone now and I dont know if its because I started to eat a handful of pistachio nuts before taking my probiotics ( pistachios are a pre-probiotic which helps the probiotic) or it just left. It was weird because I’d never had itching in or near my bellybutton before. Good Luck!
