  • In today's video, Coach Marcus Hodges is giving hommage to the late great Kobe Bryant. We all love and miss Kobe, and we're blessed to have the opportunity to share what we learned from watching Kobe with you!
    You'll discover how Kobe fadeaway was so difficult to guard, how Kobe's jumper was so accurate, and how he could do the patented Kobe Bryant jump shot off balance.
    Kobe Bryant dominated the midrange and hit unassisted jump shots at a historic rate by using a shooting form blueprint that IS the Kobe Bryant Jump Shot!
    If you wanted to install the Kobe Bryant Shooting Form, this video is definitely for you!

    Something that occasionally gets overlooked with Kobe’s brilliance is how he patterned his move set around his body mechanics to make them as efficient as possible. 💪🏼

      Can you elaborate

    • @StreetballStrategies
      @StreetballStrategies 3 роки тому +13

      @@ablegend4756 Meaning, while many people think Kobe merely copied MJ’s fadeaway, Kobe knew that it would’ve been inefficient to fade the same exact way MJ did because their bodies were different. Kobe was lighter and more mobile than Jordan. Kobe knew this, thus while Jordan’s fade had more of a swinging motion, Kobe’s was more compact and horizontal.

    One thing. Always look towards the rim. Kobe not looking towards the fans as he’s about to fade from baseline. He’s looking towards the rim so they know he’s about to either fake it and dream shake it or pull up. If you’re looking at the fans a defender is going to stop you all the time.

      The greats learned via other greats, and they adapt and add to them. MJ for one did not shoot the side footed 2 foot- adjust in air shot as often as Kobe.
      His mid-post fadeaway was contact driven, and focused on squaring up to the basket as you fade.
      This video very much is Kobe. I think you may have commented before watching it.
