Featured is Kobe’s 1 dribble pull up jump-shot in a variety of situations, going both left and right. Whether in transition, off screens, isolated, etc., the pull up jumper was Kobe’s most utilized offensive weapon. Simply finding space, even the slightest bit to elevate was all he needed. This video showcases the 1 dribble variation of his pull up usage.

“The shot that really matters is the pull up shot, because it all comes back to that, right. And so you do all these moves before hand, they don’t matter. Eventually you’re going to get to a spot, your going to raise up and shoot. So doing that shot thousands of times got me so comfortable with the shot that I can shoot that shot anytime there’s nothing you can do about it. If you shoot a shot thousands of times, I can change the trajectory anytime I want, I can flatten it out anytime I want, you can be in my face its not going make a difference cause its on autopilot. You see what I’m saying? So like no matter what happens and transpires here whether its a jab step or a crossover or a double it doesn’t matter because when I get to that spot and I raise up and shoot, I’ve done it thousands of times, thats in the bottom of the barrel. You know what I’m saying? So it all comes down to that shot.”

Amen man. I think Kyrie is the perfect example of this these days...all the moves are amazing but he can easily get right into the pull up whenever he needs to
@@CinoG2G kawhi and durant are the most efficient in todays game when it comes to the midrange. Kyrie is excellent too.
@@AF-we4reand thats why the fact that kyrie has such an excellent mid range game at 6”3 while Kawhi and Kevin are 6”7 and 6”11 is so impressive and shows how good he actually is with it
Never got bored with the basics that’s why he was unstoppable 💯
Facts 💪🏽
I don’t think it’s basic, the key here is misdirection, if you don’t have good misdirection, the move will be useless, every move need misdirection.
1 fucking dribble bounce and lights out! I love it
I thought it was trick shot
Different Breed, Rest in Paradise Kobe
Kobe had the nicest form ever , lots of finesse but without misdirection
the most skilled player to ever grace the NBA #BLACkMAMBA
FACTS 💜💛🕊
HELL NO 💀💀
And that’s facts!
Him and Tracy McGrady
Kobe Bryant's 1 dribble pullup was no different from Jordan's 1 dribble pullup, pure mimicry.
Kobe was my MJ
His offense and defense was second to none. Footwork unlike any one else. May you rest in peace Kobevinci Bryant. Thank you for your hard work, blood, sweat and your heart...
My GOAT 🖤😈
He's THE GOAT
I play ball every Sunday. And funny thing is, along with being a major Kobe fan and knowing his moves, when you drop a series video, I try to incorporate what you post into my game when I play, spin baseline, one dribble pull up, dream shake, etc. The man has such a broad bag, it’s not even funny. Most complete bag, offense and defense, in NBA history #RIP
I’m glad to hear that man, and I can totally relate, last time i hooped i pulled this one out (0:35 in video) spontaneously.. one of my favorite Kobe moves

Guy was a basketball savant, mentally brilliant. A true artist.
domcarter LORRRRDDD when done right and on balance, that move is so deadly. Gotta really sell the drive. I play ball soon, so you might have inspired me. Keep up the good work man ✊🏿🙏🏿
Elliot Green no doubt. The one against Houston in 04 playoffs with the pump fake on mobley was absolutely filthy. And I will dude thanks always for the great feedback
@@dcshow thanks man I'm 13 years old and I'm 5'8 I wanna join the nba im tryna master the fade away at a young age I'm getting better each day I play basketball everyday 3-5 I'm very consistent and serious with my dreams Kobe and mj are the people I want to base my game off
2:14 is so beautiful. It’s like the shot initiates from his legs, goes through and up his jersey into his shot.
thats why when he loses his achilles, it affected his percentage so much
@@hitokiribattousai8629 yup...his shooting form utitlized a lot of legs and lift so when his achilles was gone that was the end of his effectiveness tbh.
would drop 100 in todays league
Fr ‼️‼️‼️‼️
2:18 Picture Perfect one dribble Pull up jumper over Shuttlesworth! Just a Brilliant basketball mind with every move at his Disposal.
Well said 👌
@@dcshow Well made Video Dom aye! I got a Video Request can you do another Full Series Highlights Video like that one against the Kings ? If so a good one 2003 vs the Wolves
This is art. Poetry in motion.
This is beautiful to watch. As pretty as these step back jumpers are now this is just simple and effective. Love it
Those Kobe's babies' games are so beautiful, just beautiful to see him play to make those shots. Nobody does it like Kobe. The pull-up shots picture perfect. Thanks, Dom Carter for sharing again, please keep those Kobe's babies' coming. Thank you.
Simple..creates enough separation to open up the J.....Kids need to be taught this young
Wow that's what mastery means... 👍👏🙌
Yes sir this tuff keep dropping these
I appreciate it 🙏 will do
one of the sick moves Kobe mastered
Rest in Paradise The Mamba, The Goat KOBE BEAN BRYANT !🔥💯❤
The 1-2 master
he's jumping as soon as he collects the ball. he's not squaring up off the dribble. he making shot adjustments in the air
Watch the foot the he leads with
Deadly move!! 🐍
I miss you bean ! 💔
Incredibly difficult going right if you're a right handed player because all your momentum is away from your shooting hand. Which means you have to basically rotate in the air. sheesh! He was a master at it!
Damn bro imma cry.
No matter how young or old kobe was you had to guard him like he the greatest ever, if you didnt, he was gonna show you, he is the greatest ever
Kobe was a GREAT student of the game. If Kobe were alive today, he'd tell he learned that 1 dribble pull up from the Master-Jerry West.
Happy birthday Kobe 💜
Amazing research on the vídeos, the craft of kobes game is just amazing, you see every guard and wing player of todays coping these plays, greetings from brazil!
🔥 content as always!
The One and only " Kobe"
Contested or not, the form is a beauty.
Always loved that 1st one
🔥
Featuring Shane "he can't guard me" Battier hahaha
To bad Lechoke doesn't have videos like this 😅
Best scorer in the game master the basics never got bored with one dribble pull up got to have in your game efficient scoring with limited dribble doesn’t need 4 to five dribble
the defense kobe faced compared to jordan... kobe had it way harder aside those few hard fouls in 80s 90s
@domcarter keep these detail vids up bro, we gotta keep.mamba alive. Next you should do his push floaters 🤷♂️
❤
It’s hilarious when I see people try to make it seem like Kobe was “alright” based on the numbers, but if they actually WATCHED him play… they’d know he was the best pure player (non-statistically). He had the complete offensive arsenal; if I want the ball in a player’s hands with a game on the line, I want it in Kobe’s hands because he could (literally) make ANY shot.
1:51 the upper body strength needed to pull this off.. sheesh
My bf just asked me how his dribble something look so now I’m here tryna learn the moves 😭
I want to add this on my bag but my strength can't handle it
Still trying to master this move
This is something Lebron James will never have
Not the time for hate dude
He's a different kind of player. Apples to oranges comparison
There’s no one and I mean no one that’s has this beautiful craft and footwork. And if you disagree then you do it 🤔 huh mamba never out.
Lol only 0 dislikes that's GOOO
I have a really hard time with this shot staying balanced lol
Start slow.
Kobe had amazing balance, don’t try these at game speed until you’re comfortable with your balance
Nice video. Can you upload december 31 2006 match up between Kobe and the Sixers? Hope you reply. Appreciated
I’ll make note of that one and see if i have it.
@@dcshow thanks. Wishing for a brighter future of your channel
@@dcshow can i borrow that video once you find it? I'm making kobe one one plays against igoudala. That's the only match that i've been missing.
Kobe Bryant thanks man, and yeah you can borrow but im not sure when i’m going to upload it
Gotta random question. The pics of the jerseys you put in the beginning and your profile pic. Are they all yours?
Yes they are
@@dcshow Incredible. Both the jerseys and the pics. Do you have an Instagram page to feature them?
Eric L nah i dont use any other social media, but i appreciate you recognizing the jerseys, i figured might as well incorporate them into the channel. Perfect representation of the player.
domcarter I’m a jerseyhead myself so I figured I’d ask. Keep the dope content coming. Love these compilations of Mamba 🐍💜💛
Dope man, and I will 🙏
@domcarter Muscle memory jumpshots

Song at the end???

Unless it's harden's double step back
I see jordan

no matter the era with 3s being more for 2s yada yada yada. the midrange will forever separate the good.. from the GREAT
this is def a shot you dont see in the league.. I wish RJ barrett was watching this and developed the shot . That 3 or drive to the hole game can be stopped..
Leloser could never
Keep this man from his right hand 😂😂😂
And he destroys you with his left.
Yep but still keep this man from his right hand
Its Michaels move
No 😂
@@Mercurial. Bro after his return Michael literally just scored with that move I promise you 80% of Michaels gameplay was just that 1 dribble pull up
2:14 Left foot
too many on battier
Kobe Bryant's 1 dribble pullup was no different from Jordan's 1 dribble pullup, pure mimicry.
Not pure mimicry you bozo.
