Diagrams were useful!!! Had an issue with the gauge staying on from the 12v constant so I just gave up and put them both on the same wire for switched power
Just wondering, did you have the AC on?? I just got one of these and installed it. and almost immediately after, my diverter valve broke and I had a boost leak. once I replaced it, I started seeing 11-12 psi again. but yours is pushing almost a full bar.. I then noticed when I was gassing it with the AC on I would see it hit 13 psi. nice video, helped me a ton installing this, any information is greatly appreciated!!
Hey what light on fuse or switch did you connect the other wire too in order to get different color when lights are tuned on ? Also did you just connect the ground from the boost gauge and transducer all together on the same ground bolt as well as the red wires from both transducer and boost gauge to one crimp ring wire ?
The entire gauge is wired into my headlight switch wiring ground and all. Off the top of my head I can’t recall what color wires I used to get blue and red but one of the wires are also to the dimmer to get the color to change
@@hpardo1393 if you want bicolored (blue day time and red evening) wire the white and red wire from gauge together. Connect orange to lowbeams. In my 18 jetta the red and white wire went to wire 4 on the headlight switch. Orange went to 1
@@vm3331 can you send me that? I’m running into the same issue. I want to say I have the boost module and power from the gauge all connected into one wire and ran to the cigarette lighter fuse but it didn’t light up. I’m sure I have it wrong
The small filter doesn’t make a restriction at all and definitely use it because carbon or other small debris can ruing the pressure sensor if you don’t use it
I’ve never had to recalibrate it yet no, still reads perfectly I’ve heard some people have issues one crazy thing is the little inline filter is getting pretty dirty
So I have a b7 A4 and am having a problem with the wiring. I'm trying to get red red for my guage. I tried hooking it up via a fuse tap but it ended up draining the battery. And the wires I seem to have to hookup are orange and white and ground (not what ECS says). My question is should I hook white to 12v constant position 8, orange to 12v switched position 4 and the ground? I am really hoping to get this done tomorrow so I can install a double din android auto head unit, just want to make sure all issues are taken care of first. Thanx in advance
I just installed this same gauge on my 2015 jetta 1.8 and found in the fuse panel in the engine bay there is a accessory power to use but you need to first two to one butt connect the red wire from the gauge and the red from the boost sender and run in out through the firewall and connect in the fuse panel.
SpenceDaBeast yeah it’s the the kit off of ecs it’s definitely one of my favorite mods to the car only thing I don’t like on a sunny day it’s slightly hard to see
PghRacer79 I could deal with the sun. I am going to change my tint to a darker one so that should take care of that and I LOVE when you have the lights off it is blue and when you turn your lights on it turns red!!
@@westonlieberum1 crap I didn’t get the angled hope I didn’t mess up 🤦♂️. I didn’t realize that option until after I ordered. Good video 👍 nice install
Woulda been nice to see where the wires went

Do you put your boost line on the manifold?
I have an mk6 jetta 1.8t
Yes the manifold for the most accurate reading
What did you do with the air filter and T tap that comes with the kit and the sender ?

I hear that flute noise coming out the intake, did you ever solve that problem ?
is that a custom vent or did yours come with a new vent?
Looks great man! Do these have a peak boost function where you can recall the peak boost?
They don’t have a peak boost function but my car would spike 23ish pounds usually
If I get a custom vent and do it thru there can I still install this ?
Can you make a video of how it’s wired up? I want to get these but there aren’t any good videos showing how to do that

So in my case wanting red, red, I should not hook anything to the dimmer?

You should deffinitely take a quick video of how its all wired. I can't seem to get mine to switch colors.
I was having the same issue as well did you ever get it sorted out? I did eventually figure it out if you needed a pic of how it is wired

Have you ever had to recalibrate from the back since you initially installed it?

did you ever get this figured out? i always have a B7 A4 i’m getting ready to install this gauge into i just wanna make sure it turned out good
@@nickthierry2439 I did. I sold the car but you just have to play with the wire combos. It's not what ones they say to use to get red red.
Does have a boost gauge cause a check engine light
No it does not cause a check engine
So the orange wire connect to positive of light switch to turn it from blue to red? Then the white wire connects to and 12v+?

@@hpardo1393 sorry for the late reply but yes I did. I was over thinking the wiring diagram .
@@vm3331 can you shoot me some pics of it
@@vm3331 can you share the wiring?
You have a boost leak. On boost you can hear the whistle
Enhanced UK it is the diverter valve and the way it’s shaped it literally is like a whistle not leaking just resonating inside the piping
@@westonlieberum1 Ah ok whistle from PCV usually is a split rubber inside causing a leak hence why I asked
what your engine code?
Where can I get the gauge pod from?
Ecs tuning sells it
Where did you wire the boost sensor to ?
supra1102 the headlight switch
The wiring is to the headlight switch the boost signal is tapped to the side of the intake manifold
Did it throw a fault code once it was installed?
No it won’t throw a fault code from being installed car had a light due to being catless and not retuned for it
*CEL ON*
Yup, it's a VW lol
It’s a never ending battle when you have a modified VW with 100,000+ miles haha

Yes

How did u change your colors? Mines stuck at white
Depending what wires of the bunch you use coming out of the back of the gauge is what color it will make the display

Does it make noise at all

i wont
