Hi Himi. Thanks for all the tips 👍🏼 I've just replaced everything you suggested. My DV was rev G (mines a 2008 Pirelli Edition) but it only had two bolts holding it on! Hi Just noticed mostly when im on the motorway, car is warmed up well needle is on 90° but it drops a notch maybe a bit more and then hits 90 again, bad thermostat? My mpg seems poor at the moment aswell..
Yeah, most likely is the main thermostat, classic symptoms include reaching 90 when in traffic (city driving) and dropping off to as low as 70 on the motorway. Very common on these cars unfortunately.
I am living with the thermostat issue, it doesn't cause any damage by not hitting 90 degrees as far as I know, and have oil leak on both sides of the engine 😂😂😂
I'd recommend firstly giving the car a full service, get some fresh oil into the engine 💪🏼. I'd recommend checking the DV and Cam Follower and PCV.
