      Auto Mafia Racing who you foolin’? You have to go through the firewall, way down under the brake booster. So far down that you need to get under the car. Lol. Oh and believe me I will. Great job. 👌🏼

      its only 2 wires really. 12v power when accessory or engine on. then a ground. every single car is different for 12v on just got to poke around to find one.

    I know this is last years video, but could the stock boost gauge on the SCT X4 be used? Reading seems pretty accurate to me. Thoughts?

    • @automafiaracing
      @automafiaracing  4 роки тому +1

      It usually is not and this is on an 11-14 which will not read boost.

    Where does the third plug on the gauge come in?
    I saw the sensor and power plugged, but there's 3 ports.
    Considering buying one, so curious. Thanks!

    I asked them this question but they didnt answr it so maybe you know...
    My water temp sensor has a ground wire and my gauge connector has a ground wire... do they each get their own bolted down ground? Or do i connect the 2 together? Thank you for the vid!

    • @automafiaracing
      @automafiaracing  2 роки тому

      It would depend on the gauge. Id follow the instructions.

      @@automafiaracing the instructions they (prosport gauges) provided were close to not having instructions at all lmfao literally terrible but i got it to work! Turns out they both each get a ground and just powered through an ACC wire. Thanks for the reply!

    Can you tell me..... Lets say you have 15in of vaccum.. does the boost gauges automatically calculate the conversion from vaccum to boost so that it will show approx 7psi of boost on the gause with a 15in of vaccum to the guage? Thank you!!

    I just use those add a fuse things. I never like cutting into factory wiring for things like gauges. I cant remember what you call them, but it replaces the factory fuse location, and has a wire coming off with a crimp connector. Ahhh driving me crazy i cant remember the name of them lol.

    • @automafiaracing

      We hate add a fuses. I'd rather have the fuse box lid be able to close and not have some loose fuse holder there

      @@automafiaracing I'm talking about the fuse block inside the car under the dash. My car doesn't even have a cover for that. I used them and wrapped everything nicely , and ziptied the rest up under the dash. Cant even tell. I need to find a constant though because I'm tired of having to re-select the color I like. I'm thinking about actually buying the same kit you have in the video. I've always used mechanical boost gauges. Ever since 2001ish. I've always been told they're more accurate. However I think over the past 20+ years technology has caught up to wear they're both even. Plus I can keep the vacuum lines solely in the engine bay that way and only having wiring in the cabin.

    That's the big thing is the wiring my little cheap boost gauge has a green wire that goes to guage a ground and one red wire and I'm talking about the boost sensor I've tried both with the red wire contant and switched still ain't right

      @@pineappleboi27 I know this is old, but directly on a turbo line, I replaced my hoses with turbosmart hoses and used a Connector similar to what they did. I understand what you mean about not having a BOV. Some cars were not equipped from the factory with a bov and some without an intercooler. A perfect example is a Z31 turbo, no intercooler, so no BOV, any lines or guages must be run directly through the turbo line

    Showing the wiring is a lot more interesting than blabing about it, lost me at the red wire. If your gonna show a install show it all not half. Now I have to go watch another video to see how it's done
