I always though Trina was considered "the ugly one" because she was the only one who didn't look borderline dangerously skinny. That was literally the only way i could make it make sense in my head and boy was that great for my developing little brain :)
You’re right, her and Jade have similar bodies tho but Jade is basically a big tiddie goth gf.
same omg
same because she is literally gorgeous and making her the annoying, weird, "hate-able" character also seems out of place given that she actually just looks like a realistic human being
Fr
@@tarrenr8159ok but realistic human beings are often the annoying and horrible ones. You don't have to look a certain way to be liked or disliked...
i think the reason people feel like Beck and Jade are a good couple is bc Beck is just such an aggressively good friend (protecting Cat from the earthquake, letting Tori spit in his hands, knowing to bring Robbie a watermelon) that people kind of forget he's repeatedly shown to be a bad boyfriend (is obtuse or passive aggressive when he knows jade is upset or jealous, doesnt set boundaries with other girls like when he drove half a dozen girls that he knew liked him to school, always flirting with tori *bc* he knows it annoys jade, etc.,). like its the epitome of the "cool guy" and the significant other who feels forced to play the "cool girl" who doesnt care and if she does then she's ruining the fun. my personal belief has always been that Jade sees Tori as a threat to their relationship bc Beck *allows* tori to *be* a threat. he never sets proper boundaries with her after they kiss for a class after knowing each other 2 days & then she's suddenly in the friend group? id hate her too if i was jade. (also i dont think enough people realize that Tori kissed someone else's boyfriend TWICE! KNOWINGLY!! (no wonder cat and jade bond lol))
a+ take
i feel like theres a lot more content of him being a good bf than a bad one. he has always gotten unwarranted attention and thats not always the receivers fault. jade had some serious jealousy issues on her own, it wasnt at all always jades fault. only thing i can say about beck is that wanted something different that wasn’t jade but still for some reason decided to be with her. which…..is not okay.
Overall, Jade and Beck are both extremely petty and aren’t rly a good match for anyone with their mindsets 😭

8 hour video essays about old TV shows THAT I BARELY WATCHED, absolutely yes
I've seen all four videos of these and am beginning to think that each episode of iCarly and this are just cries for help from the writing staff. Would explain the amount of sexual harassment, violence and sadism behind the scenes. It's subtle messaging for what Schneider was really like. I expect Sam and Cat may also have similar plotlines.
@@lorddrayvon1426 i’ve seen another video addressing how sexualised ariana was while playing cat (whilst also talking about the sexualisation of jennette mccurdy). it becomes really prominent in the later seasons. as soon as she stopped acting natural while playing cat, it went extremely downhill. like when she was “drinking” water upside down, they all knew what they were doing to her. and it’s upsetting. jennette and ariana were some of the most sexualised characters, thus why they randomly got a show together. most of this paragraph is from that video with some of my own commentary.
Hearing Cat repeat very realistic trauma meltdown stuff like "I'm under my bed, I'm under my bed" while a laugh track plays makes me so deeply uncomfortable and really defines what this show is.
Yeah same, it's so awful
that scene made me really upset and nervous, honestly. i struggle with anxiety and panic attacks often (for multiple reasons), and seeing a character that i genuinely like a lot and is nothing but sweet, and who i relate to in many aspects, be put into a scenario in which she reacted genuinely and realistically and there's just a laugh track playing over it,,,,,, it made me really sad and rather sick. im really glad i never got around to watching through victorious, as the mean spirited and cruel nature of much of the show is just,,, not something i think i could handle being played the way it is.

Honestly, a better running joke about Trina, rather than just 'she sucks at everything,' would've been that she's really talented, but only at things she doesn't care about, or when she's not trying to be. Some examples to get my point across:
-Trina and Tori are trying out for the cheerleading team. Tori gets in because she's perfect at everything, but Trina doesn't. She angrily kicks the ball and walks away, not seeing that she's scored a field goal all the way across the entire stadium. The coach tries to get her to try out for football, but she was only interested in the cheerleading part.
-Trina is trying to audition for the school; she is trying to sing a pop song, and completely botching it. The faculty all tell her she sucks, to which to gives an impromptu, passionate monologue about how they're all jerks who don't know anything and how she's struggled to get here, and that wows them so much they let her in on the spot.
-Some kind of art class. Everyone is painting portraits, and Trina is doing terribly. She gets fed up, just throws a bunch of stuff on the canvas, and storms out. An Art Guy™ shows up and immediately begins praising such a well made abstract expression of pure rage, asking who made such an incredible piece. Tori takes credit because she's a terrible person.
I'm not sure what Tori you are talking about because she'd never take credit for something she didn't do.🤨
I agree with everything but the very last sentence. Tori's character would literally never do that, Trina's would but not Tori.
Ok, I may hate Tori, but she would never do that.
I actually think Tori would take credit, especially if she knew it was Trina’s work. They hate Trina, and sometimes pretty undeserved. That last part about the art reminded me of SpongeBob, when Squidward gets in raged, and trash is the art room, but makes the most beautiful sculptor the critic had ever seen.
@@brandonkennedy4160 Tori absolutely WOULD NOT take credit for something she didn't do!
One thing the Slap segments really illustrate is how deeply, deeply uncomfortable so much of this show's humor is when you remove the laugh track. Beck and Jade's fights make my skin crawl. They make me want to leave the room. The Slap humor surrounding Robbie either makes me feel really bad for him, or it makes me want to remove him from this mortal coil with my own two hands. The only exception to this is Sinjin, who somehow gets exponentially funnier when everything he says is buffeted by long periods of uncomfortable silence.
It’s honestly bizarre that so much of this was allowed in a children’s show with underage actors.
@@kenzarty5999 thats what happens when the producers (he who shall not be named) is the one who wants the bizzare things to happen

Sinjin works even better because his humor is mostly based on being weird and somewhat cringe, so the silence amplifies that

David Schwimmer not being alive is still consistent in Victorious! The actress says shes in a show called "The Dead" and she plays David Schwimmer's wife. The version of David Schwimmer in "The Dead" could be a fictionalized version of him as a ghost/spirit
i just thought it meant she was his widow
It would be fucking hilarious if not only David Schwimmer is dead in the NSU, his death was apparently tragic and notable enough for someone to adapt it into a show ominously called The Dead where one of the characters is his wife/eventual grieving widow
I don't know how Quinton didn't get that joke like I'm literally Autistic and I still instantly got that.
The whole "David Schwimmer is dead in the NSU" running bit is a bit less funny now that Matthew Perry is actually dead, by drowning no less.
@@cartooncritic7045nah that makes it way more funny
ngl I watched this show kinda passively but was a genuine fan of it - I honestly, *honestly* thought that Tori and Andre had some kind of subtextual romantic thing going on. I'm a little surprised that it wasn't actually there. This show really does exist in people's heads more than it exists in real life.
im pretty sure it was only in the first few episodes because i remember thinking they were gonna become a couple aswell
There are a couple of scenes where there is subtext, even if unintentionally. What comes to mind to me is in the diddlybops, where Tori tries to cheer him up, then he writes a love song immediately after she leaves and then it cuts to him singing it to Tori. That isn't as solid as it sounds in context, as the show would go on, it would be common for them to write and sing songs that have nothing thematically to do with what's going on, but I could totally see how someone would look at that scene and think it was meant to suggest a romantic relationship. I'm actually not a Tandre shipper, I'm a Jori shipper, but I think it's odd when some ones says "it only exists in there heads" because that is literally all art. Every piece of art in the world is interpretable, and it's entirely possible that some one else could pick up on a different subtext than you or the next person.
I'm one of the weird people who watched this show all the way through numerous times as an adult, so I never had that problem.
I also imagined it. But like for the first five episodes only
I think it's a case of what I like to call, "First Girl Syndrome": where the first member of the opposite sex on the main cast is usually the character our protagonist ends up with. And unfortunately, it's so pervasive that the audience is basically trained to expect it.
the fact that "its all downhill from here" is the last line robbie has in victorius. so real

honesty Jade in the break up episode saying “but all boyfriends and girlfriends fight A LOT, right?” like that’s genuinely sad. she actually thinks that her toxic relationship is normal while everyone else is trying to tell her it’s not. whether intentional or not, she has the subtle mindset of a child raised in a really scary home life.
I think that’s why a lot of us could relate to and loved jade in a way we wish someone had loved us :)
Oh wow this is actually.. really sad.

To add on that Trina reboot idea is not only she’s a mom and love by her husband but also a successful working woman. She would really shine just because she stop being around people who don’t appreciate her.

The storyline about beck faking being interested in in trina really broke me because I had something similar happen to me. Not to that scale if course but this really pretty guy pretended to be interested in me and asked for my number. You have no idea how amazing this made me feel, I was on cloud nine. I was so insecure about myself that the idea of a guy being interested in me was a fantasy but now it finally happened. (It was especially exciting because they’re weren’t many other gay guys in the area ) I was so happy that someone finally liked me that I ignored all the red flags. This guy was one of the popular kids, he played football, he hung out with people that I knew for a fact where homophobic, but I was so oblivious to it. It was to good to be true! And it wasn’t. He eventually blew his cover when I actually started texting him and as soon as I realized it was a joke my heart shattered and I felt the same way trina did. Extremely insecure, no one could ever like me and no one ever will. It’s so screwed up that a middle school boy can traumatize someone like that in the matter of a week. I felt so stupid to ever believe anyone would like me.
In short: DO NOT under any circumstances fake liking someone because it can cause so much damage.
didn't she go around lying about him liking her tho?
@@ShaiLailm so sorry that happened to you. But wasn’t Trina going around telling beck and her were a thing tho
@@ShaiLaiYeah. And after he JUST broke up with his long time girlfriend.
@@arttech4347 because she was lying about him
Same here, I had something similar happen to me, also in middle school. When you already have low self-esteem and you get built up by someone gaslighting you like that it can REALLY mess with you. To this day I have a hard time believing that I'm actually worthy of love or even a good person, all because someone used me for their own amusement in that way. I would've preferred a flatout rejection rather than finding out I was being lied to for so long, and in the worst way possible too (got added to the vent group chat as joke because everyone had just finished making fun of me).
Albeit in the episode Trina started spreading the rumor that Beck was interested in her, but the hurt still stands. Trina gets gaslit and the gang goes back to emotionally abusing and manipulating her.
2:43:05 okay, after watching the last Sam and Kat video where Quinton went over Jennette's book, hearing Robbie/Matt Bennet sing about not trusting strangers who eat deli meat, when Jennette said Dan Schneider's favorite snack was cold cuts... well it stands out.
I think Trina as an adult in the reboot should be like The Rock. An action star known for her comedic chops and charisma who's infinitely more famous than any of her old classmates
This is now my headcanon thanks
Additional headcanon that she never gave up trying to sing, went through a lot of vocal training and a lot of voice teachers, and eventually did the thing the Rock did where he got one solo song in Moana, like Trina eventually stars in like one kids movie musical and that’s just on her résumé
Yeah, like she really is all the things she believed she was but once she becomes it and isn't tied to her family anymore we see how not only is she super talented, she's also incredibly nice and well deserving of her accomplishments because she's had to literally work from the bottom to the top on her own.

It is absolutely ridiculous how nickelodeon would make jokes about Trina/ Daniella Monet being ugly when she is clearly not in Victorious and then in Grow Up Timmy Turner she's now the "hot girl" character when she looks the same. It also continues the whole "conventionally unattractive people are bad people" stereotype.
I mean… I think it’s more “pretty girly girls are bad people” because it’s always the nlog that’s plain looking and “she wears short skirts, I wear T-Shirts” type girls that always gets the guy.
But anyways, it really was stupid for them to pretend that she wasn’t really attractive.
Definitely. They didn't even make any effort to make her look any less attractive than the other girls! But even if we talk about "ugly on the inside" she doesn't qualify. Her biggest flaw is overestimating her talent? She's not a bitch like jade or a bimbo like Kat, which are normally the two "she's hot but I'll pass" girls in TV shows. She's an attractive girl who is annoying. Her character is a failure of the writing mantra "Show, don't tell" they told us she was terrible, but showed us nothing to support it. Even irl Tori Justice shipped her with THE HOT PRINCE in her headcannon, so we know the actors saw this as an issue too.
If they used a girl who was actually considered unattractive by beauty standards then people today would’ve considered it bullying and Victorious would’ve been looked down upon as a series. So of course they use someone attractive. I think they tried to allude to the fact that Trina was unattractive because of her personality not because of her facial features.
It’s the same thing with Drake and Josh. Josh was supposed to be considered “unattractive” because he was overweight. But when he lost all the weight he became significantly more attractive to women so instead of using his outside features they continued to make him really awkward, whiny, nerdy etc. so that Drake still seemed like the “cooler brother.” A similar formula was used on Zack and Cody.
I wonder if was Trina supposed to be the “ugly” one because she’s got petite as the other women? I’m Not saying she’s big
i know it throws people off, but actors interpreting uglier characters that they actually are it's pretty common
I think the reason Cat and Jade get shipped together a lot is because since the actors are such good friends irl, they genuinely have a lot of chemistry. Like, not romantic chemistry, but there's a warmth and comfort there that transcends their dialogue. I think that's also the reason people like the Beck and Jade ship. They just have good chemistry with each other.
Here's the thing about Victoria's singing. She is a very good singer. It's just not so apparent here because everyone else is not only as good, they're just technically better at singing. The only reason Victoria's songs stand out more is they're built up but her vocals are also always WAY too loud in the mix. As if to say "the only way they'll think she's good is if we just shove her voice to the front and make everything else in the song as dull and repetitive as possible to it doesn't draw any attention away from her vocals.
In fact, Victoria is signed to an independent label and is still releasing new music to this day, and I'll actually admit that it's worth checking out and I can see someone liking her new music. I even really like a few of her songs from the last few years
The part where Kat is trying to envision herself being safe under her bed with a laugh track over it really is wild. Like actual writers got together and thought of this?
There’s so many moments like that where something that should be serious is happening but the show makes a joke out of it
I mean, it was basically the same scene as the one in Icarly where Sam and her mom fight in the booth as Carly experiences a panic attack due to being in a closed space.
Yeah, it’s sad that moments like these get written off as a joke, “oh look at this person who’s experience a panic so severe they pass out, isn’t that just silly? Hilarious even? No? Well what if we put a laugh track over it?”
That was pretty shocking. They wrote an obvious sign of serious abuse in as a punch line? Are you fucking with me? They could have kept the same bad joke but gone with something more ambiguous like "going to my happy place." Instead they paint us a picture of a scared little Kat curled up in the fetal position, rocking back and forth under her bes as the sounds of obvious domestic violence takes place in the next room. Frankly, I would have just assumed it was a mix of Autism, ADHD, and a low Intellect. But nope, turns out Kat is just developmentally stunted as a result of horrific domestic abuse. *Cue laugh track*
Sometimes it feels like the writers are trying to re-live their teen years in a world where they are the mean kids.
in case anyone was curious, as an avid viewer of matt bennett’s twitch streams (my comments on stream were in this video!) i’d like to clarify that matt is very sarcastic on stream, and he completely made up the “lost episodes”. in a later stream he even made up a whole story of how you have to find a treasure map to find them.
That’s fucking hilarious
Honestly, I thought he was being sarcastic. Thanks for confirming lol!
The fact that Matt Bennett said there was an episode with “The Weeknd” but he was underground until 2013 and wasn’t mainstream until 2015 I found it unlikely
I've never seen him in anything outside of Victorious, but I thought that was probably the case. I was surprised Quinton didn't bring it up as a possibility!
I’ve always loved Matt Bennett to be real
“Don’t trust strangers, don’t you know, even if you met them a long time ago” is honestly so real.
I'm just gonna headcanon Cat as having undiagnosed narcolepsy, and her becoming more and more weird is a sign of the delirium that happens when your brain can't process sleep properly.
Hi, I have narcolepsy, and started hallucinating before I was diagnosed and medicated
This is kind of a dope theory because it turns a flanderization quirk into a sort of character development. I like it.
i met victoria justice once! she had this random signing at a random shopping mall in brazil, i think it was 2012? i was maybe 13 and spoke very broken english. anyway, we were only allowed to get one autograph from her, but i went up to her and explained as best as i could that i had a friend who lived far away who loved her but couldn't make it, and if she could sign an extra pic for said friend. she was like "of course i can! that is so sweet of you!" she had to get up and ask someone from her team for an extra pic, because we were all only given one to sign. anyway, somewhere someplace i have an autograph from victoria justice, my friend has hers that i mailed to her and i have the memory of her just being so nice and warm to me
That is sweet as hell

Holy cow she actually did it. She came to brazil.
awww that’s adorable

Actually, the fact that Jade watched the livestream of Beck and Tori till the end and didn’t turned it off after they leaned in for a kiss makes me very glad. I’m so so so tired of this annoying plot device when there is some love triangle or similar stuff and one character leaves too soon or doesn’t listen till the end and then there’s a huge brawl caused by a simple misunderstanding. So, the writers managed to do something great, good for them ig
Yeah, that’s one of my least favorite tropes. I hate when the entire plot could be wrapped up via a 5-minute conversation.
But instead every time they get the chance they just go “wait… no… it’s not like that… c’mon… you’re being ridiculous…” etc.

if we ever get a victorious reboot i want them to elaborate on that damn "playing pirates" joke. i KNOW it's a molestation joke but MY ideal interpretation is that robbie just really, REALLY likes historically accurate pirate roleplay, including things like descriptions of ship-borne illnesses, and various torture methods, but cat just wanted to put on pirate hats and hit robbie with a fake sword over and over. so she doesn't like how he plays pirates because she gets freaked out by his grossly detailed story about dying of scurvy

i cant belive you didnt mention the “i cant even tell my own sons apart” “its not your fault they’re identical” from season3 episode 6
As someone who's never watched the series beyond these videos, here's my theory on Tori, Beck, and Jade:
Imagine Tori is closeted. She doesn't even realize it herself. Despite this, she's friends with the one guy who every girl INSISTS is the most attractive, but she just doesn't see it. Still, she convinces herself she IS attracted to him, because she thinks that's "normal". As long as Jade and Beck stay together, she doesn't need to think about it.
Despite her competitive tensions with Jade, she grows attracted to her which only further intensifies their jagged friendship. But when she sees Beck and Jade together, she still FEELS something, but convinces herself that it's for Beck.
Time passes after Beck and Jade break up, but when Tori has a genuine chance at being with Beck, she can only think about Jade: the one she's supposedly hates.
Blud writing fanfiction for some guy's foot fetish show/jk
You can view this as cannon, and it fits so well without creating any potholes and makes things make more sense like the episode where they date.
This is why fanon can easily peak canon sometimes
i 10000% agree with this as someone who pretended to have a crush on the popular guy just to fit in, only for that "crush" to fade 3 days later when he said one word to me. i learned later on in life that it's called "comphet"
this actually fits very well. like in "tori fixes beck and jade" when jade is singing "you don't know me", tori was singing along, very into it, and was completely Shocked that jade was staring at beck. it almost seemed like she pointed a bit to herself before to beck. she thought the song was for her 😭
I love when Jade is listing how or why everyone in the squad isn’t her friend, she doesn’t mention Andre. He just vibes we all want an Andre in our lives.

Um no, Andre should have been given a personality and better plot lines. He wasn’t interesting at all.
The amount of times andre should’ve got a record deal or they alluded to it and jus forgot the next episode is crazy
he never got a record deal because, as a minor, his grandmother won't allow it.
1) she makes unreasonable demands on his behalf, making the deal "not worth it"
2) she's afraid of losing Andre. she wants to keep him at home, not famous, with her.

We never talked about how Liz Gillies was almost certainly groomed on this show when she was a minor. She was 16 when the show began and was introduced to the Victorious music composer Michael Corcoran, who was nearly 40 at the time. They didn't "officially date" until shortly after she turned 18, but... it's clear what's happened here. The rumors about Schneider are one thing (and are probably also true), but Liz Gillies being groomed at the age of 16 for a man far, far older than she is definitely happened.
Wow never knew this
I assume this is going to be in the Dan Schenider video Quinton is working on
and they're still married...fucking hell
OMG YES! While MAYBE nothing suspicious happened, to be a 40yo interesting in someone BAREY legal is extremely suspicious.
If they were dating for ~6 years before she got married, she would have been 20 when they started dating, no?
Jades reaction to Sinjin's sock puppet thing is so kind compared to how she is usually presented in the shows. She tries to show and reason with Sinjin why what he is doing is wrong instead of blowing up and cussing him out like she would with, say, Robbie or Tori.
She had every right to be creeped out and call him names, instead she grabs him by the hand, looks him in the eye and says "hey, this isn't ok." which is wild.
She is surprisingly gentle but firm about it which is very mature. She just tries to get him to look at her so she knows he's taking in what she's saying and just tells him in a soft but assertive tone "this is not right" and an "okay?" So she can confirm he understands. Granted I see that more with kids that are elementary and middle school age but considering how completely ashamed and terrified he presents I think that was pretty appropriate
this no finale thing is unsettling af. A lack of closure is scarier than death to me. I am not exaggerating.

Trina brought them tacos. She also always supports Sinjin's endeavors. And she once drove to Bakersfield from LA (after school, mind you, so with traffic) to retrieve the solvent for the industrial glue. They repay her kindness by mentally and emotionally torturing her over the possibility of the guys wanting to date her. This group doesn't deserve Trina.

“The Victorious fandom seems to have a version of Victorious that exists exclusively in their own minds.” That’s pretty common in fandoms, in my experience, especially fandoms for media that’s noticeably flawed. Some of them even drop the pretense and have people doing complete ground up rewrites all over the place. A show gives people something that sparks an idea in their heads, and they like the idea it sparked better than the thing itself, but the thing is what made the spark so they keep it attached to the thing.
This reminds me of the Grey's Anatomy community. Some of them are soooo convinced that Cristina was a bad friend to Meredith despite the show always showing the opposite. They just actively choose to ignore all the scenes and plots that proved Cristina was a ride or die for her because they really want to believe she was a bad friend.
Literally mlb. Like why does everyone think Alya will side with Lila and start bullying Marinette and be like physically abusive and shit? Just because Lila said she'd steal all of Marinette's friends doesn't mean that she'll actually succede. Like, Alya is such a supportive friend in cannon, she might fall for some of Lila's lies, but she doesn't immediately abandon Marinette or side with Lila over Marinette. She was one of the first people who stood up for her when Lila almost got her expelled. People need to stop hating on Alya. Sorry, this went on a complete tangent, my point was that the MLB fandom does this too.

Suggestion for fixing Trina's whole weird treatment. Make her a stunt woman. She is a martial artist, and stunt acting would be a believable reason for her to be in Hollywood Arts. Also it would mean all the injuries she gets could be hand waved away as her just being able to take a hit or knowing how to avoid getting properly hurt even in sudden circumstances. Also it would add a good source of rivalry between the sisters because Trina could be the tough one who kinda bullies Tori a bit. Lastly, she can still want to be a singer and all that, and her story could be more about realising her talents lie elsewhere - but are still fucking cool
I ACTUALLY LIKE THAT IDEA
YES
This is actually so smart holy shit
Somebody got their sleep.
Do stunt doubles tie into the “Hollywood” part? Yes. But does it tie into the “arts” part? Not really. Sure there could maybe be an argument for that but it typically wouldn’t be considered a creative art which means art schools wouldn’t accept them.
Edit: some of you guys seem to be misunderstanding what exactly in saying to fit the theory being presented. Because sure it can be considered an art, but stunt doubling being in an arts school _is_ a stretch, I’ve never seen any arts school have this as a course or have been a qualifier to get into an arts school.
Sinjin being a senior makes perfect sense to me. He's been around the block. He knows. It's not just that he's above it all, he's on a whole new level. He knows what he's about. I kinda like how they handled the Jade and Beck break up because it's just so counter to what you expect. Are they happy? BUNNIES. And she Just gave me a slide show of her bunny, bruce, in costumes.
@@ulkaalcachofajorquera5756 That’s so wholesome, bless her
@@pokemonfanthings4444 mine would push you with his snout if you stood somewhere he wanted to go. It was so cute to be ‘attacked’ by this little fluff ball.
My bunny ended up half blind (cat incident) land he died how he lived.. sleeping and ignoring people. He got squished by a big tractor wheel. I don’t even blame the farmers around here because there’s no way they could’ve seen him and he should’ve been running!! He loved our apple tree. He lived in our yard and just knew to stay because it was home. He would stomp and grunt at us and would ask for pets by pushing his head out at you. Him and my little kitty were BFFs. He tried to hump one of our other kitties and it didn’t go so well for him lmao
beck and jade's website segments are so viscerally uncomfortable without a laugh track. it feels less like i'm watching a comedy sketch, and more like i'm watching an actual abusive relationship playing out
The final days of a typical UA-cam pranks couple channel
I personally think Trina would become a single mother by choice, either adopting or making use of a surrogate/sperm donor, so she can be sure to give her child as much undivided love as possible while also becoming a popular host/co-host of a reality show where she is known for her clever commentary and quips
Meanwhile she has also become best friends with Sinjin and Berth who are together and own 2 dogs, and have become Trina's child's godfathers and honourary uncles, and look after them when Trina is working or out on a date or meetings
Trina has a hard time finding a life partner, not because shes ridiculed or anything, but because she now puts a lot of attention and love into her child and that becomes her priority, and she simply hasn't found the right person for her who is willing to accept her priorities, meaning shes found the confidence in herself to know what she needs and has been able to learn that she deserves love and happiness with the right person, and while shes a bit lonely or feels something missing without a romantic partner, she is happy and a complete person without that
Sinjin would become a well-paid stagehand who works in large movie productions, and Berth would become a highschool teacher who now works in Psychowitz's old classroom which has become specifically a stage performance and critique class
meanwhile Andre has stayed in Hollywood arts as the band teacher and stays in his grandmother's old home after she passed, but he is known for believing in ghosts and the students say that he believes that his grandma is still following him around the school and now parallels her to a slight degree from the paranoia
Beck lives near Andre to keep an eye on his best bud and is now the school's main productions co-ordinator as well as being in charge of stage makeup classes (he has a girlfriend but shes not a pretty popular talented girl, instead just a normal person who lived in the real world and who also ended up rejecting Beck at first because she felt like he was artificial and not a real person, somewhere they were friends and he eventually confided in her and opened up to her which led to their relationship beginning)
Kat ended up in Purgatory with Sam Pucket
Jade and Tori are dating having finally found some semblance of peace with eachother but they are basically homeless and broke after trying to make it in hollywood because they're awful people and have moved back to hollywood arts because its the only place willing to hire them (and the school is only willing to hire them because they were the school's most famous students and it would be bad for PR if they just let the girls die or remain total messes so they also have to try to be better people while at the school)
I know everyones already said it, but Cat breaking down while jade and beck are arguing is genuinely so... Not funny? Idk. Just reminds me of when my parents argued when i was growing up. To this day i can't deal with folks arguing around me
The fact it got so bad to the point of her PASSING OUT too, girl has some serious PTSD
What ive learned from watching all of Quinton’s Nickelodeon content is that Daniella Monet was WAY better than any of the other actors and actresses in any of these sitcoms and yet she was getting ALL the worst vehicles: Fred, Timmy Turner movies, and comedic relief in Victorious.
Zoey 101 it was before this and he hasn't covered it, but she played the jealous new girlfriend of one of the characters
@@patax144 I now remember that. It feels like in the same way they made Victorious to make Victoria Justice a singer seemingly ignorant to having Ariana Grande RIGHT THERE, they kept trying to cast girls to be the likable quirky lead of their shows and then going “gah what should we do with Daniella its not like thats exactly her wheel house”
Character acting like that is actually a really difficult skill and so undervalued honestly
Update as I continue this video: everytime Quinton gives a new detail about Trina I just feel worse and worse for this character and that combines with me feeling sympathetic for Daniella that she was stuck being Dan Schneider's punching bag and honestly I cant keep straight what parts are me feeling for Daniella and what parts are me feeling for Trina. I almost wanna watch the show just to see if Trina is as sympathetic when I have to sit through her antics
@@Agumame Trina is really only sympathetic when analyzed in an objective context entirely separate from the show.
If you watch the show, you'll probably find her to be extremely annoying.
Idk why but Andre's delivery of "I like sandwiches and hate that plant" KILLS me
he just sounds so genuinely angry its so so good
It makes me so upset that Only Beck realized they were making Tori act terrible! Like not even Andre, who’s she’s even closer to knows that Tori wouldn’t purposely do that!
Quinton you are exactly the kinda person I want to sit down with and talk for 8 hours about an extremely niche internet story, because I know you’d be in the loop in a major way. kudos to you I love your vibe and I’m so happy to have found your channel recently!
Who's gonna tell Quinton he singlehandedly got Victorious to trending on Tumblr?
he has a tumblr account and he knows lol
I barely watched victorious live, but “Take a Hint” is genuinely a bop. And you’re right about the toxicity of Beck and Jade, BUT Jade’s whole vibe definitely awakened something in me when I was younger.
Wasn't Jade's favorite movie The Scissoring or something-
@@randomtraveler4149 it was.

My sister used to play the song while she drove me around in her car when we were both younger. It really grew on me.

leon thomas WON A GRAMMY this year. he produced “snooze” by sza, he produces for a lot of big artists and makes his own music!! his recent album was so so good, he’s made a name for himself within the industry for sure
Not to be weird but I am so glad you acknowledged Daniella Monet is hot. Always drove me crazy that they acted like she wasn't.
Honestly I really do think Sinjin is an accurate portrayal of the creative kids at school and he's the only one that is really accurate in that portrayal. Like I would say Sinjin is the only character in this show I would look at and say that I can actually relate because in a way he was the creative theatre kid at school who was definitely way more fun to be around and the production ending is something I agree with Quinton on, it is such a befitting ending that the real theatre kid in the show who was a punching bag for the others pointed out how they failed, I think the only thing that could've maybe been a better ending is "Trina actually proves to have talent," but because the other kids can't see past her being a little bit annoying and maybe a tiny bit cringy, they weren't able to see that she was actually a talented person, it's just her trauma was holding her back because really sometimes trauma can do that.
I throw Andre in there too because everyone has met a character like that in life
Like a cool dude that Genuinely don’t really hear people complain about ever
But 100% Sinjin was a real one
Yeah I was in theatre in high school and I definitely knew a few Sinjins
He’s also a huge pervert sometimes but apart from that yeah
I’m surprised everyone in the comments likes sinjin. Re-watching it he’s kinda annoying and very weird towards the girls and in general
I like to imagine that both Sinjin and Trina were actually really popular and well-liked at hollywood arts, and the main cast were just too self-centered to notice
