Hi, I’m from Tenerife, actually living in the USA. You guys seems a very nice couple, and when you received that call from a friend that interfered your video recording ,you showed funny. You stated at the last part of the video, that you want to wait one year at least to see how the things are going.. I’ll bet you, the things are going to be great. After June United Airlines has announced direct flights from New Jersey to Tenerife, American tourists would visit our island and they could set easily the island for a Destination Wedding thing, which it’s so popular over here. Meanwhile, relax.. you could acquired the lay back character and enjoy the islands in its essence.
My best wishes! From an islander living abroad!
Thanks for the encouragement, our best wishes to you too !!!!
😉 nice vlog mate! Even nicer because of my call 😂. Now I know who to ask for information If I will ever decide to move to Tenerife.
Thanks dude. And don't interrupt me while im filming. :))
I like your video so much, very useful. I wish there was some extra specifically focused on bureaucracy explaining how in what sequence get all that papers
Great suggestion!
Happy to find your channel. Useful for some1 like me thinking about moving there.

Succes in tot ce va doriți, de 4 ani am emigrat in uk, o provocare faina, ne gândim la Tenerife pentru retragere mai târziu…

I saw your Vienna video first and compared to this latest one I saw both of you very still. In Vienna you where walking fast looking for a quite place to speak. Now you're vibing calmness and peace. The benefit is showing. I'm a photographer too and I hope to meet you in Tenerife soon!
True, when your here we’ll arrange a get together:)
So tempted to move to Tenerife as a 21-year-old (I work from my laptop). Currently learning the language! 😀

Bravo! Smart move! Ramaneti in Santa Cruz sau cat mai aproape, in nici un caz in sud. 2. Nu va mutati foarte des (afecteaza copiii) 3. Pe cat posibil, gatiti acasa. Nu va aruncati cu capul inainte in mancarea spaniola (canariota). Pe termen mediu/lung creaza disconfort. Cam atat. A! Succes!
Lumea considera ca in Canare e peste bun si proaspat. Ei bine, pestele este in TOTALITATE congelat. Arareori poti gasi direct la sursa un macrou, stavride sau caracatita proaspete, dar in nici un caz in magazine sau restaurante.
You guys give us hope we can do it. We r moving this year :) hope to meet you
We are moving in September 🥳
Buna guys, great video first of all, thanks. It already answers a lot of my questions.
Did you have to show a proof of deregistration from Vienna when you applied for your NIE?
Salut, nu
thank you for review :) did you actually choose Tenerife among other Canary Islands? I love Las Palmas for more greenish area , looking for info now . But your video is useful too , cheers!
No, our goal was tenerife although we've been to other islands
hi guys, first of all i hope you're safe during this challenging time over there in tenerife! lets hope for the best! if id be there now id volunteer. okay on the other hand - who needs a non spanish speaking austrian during a spanish emergency ;-) just kidding, i think its always good to give something "back" to the area you love and help is always somehow needed.
i wanted to ask you also about whether you got any documents translated into spanish for your moving to tenerife. like your geburtsurkunde, ehenachweis, children's dokumente, etc.. was there a need for that?
i think there wasnt a need for an apostille on the docs since you're from a eu country.
im following your channel - not only is it entertaining but it helps us planning doing the same like you guys, just that we wanna stay in the south ;-)
keep up the nice content 🙏
Hey Robin, thanks for you concern. No, no translation was needed, they didn't even asked for anything
I'm so jealous a t-shirt near December I would love to live abroad
Go for it
Thank so Much!!! My couple, son and dog are planimg to move from Germany to Gran Canarias and we loved and appreciate so much your video
Glad it helps. Thanks
No Spanish locals but a couple of friends may do for now 🤪. 🤞🏻
For sure!!
Are you back in Tenerife?
Hi :-) Thank you for a great and informative video. May I ask, what is the name of the super cosy little town that you show video from around 4:07 minutes into the video? Thank you in advance. Much appreciated. Kind regards Vibe
Sure, its called Masca
@@LensVagabonds Thank you so much ♥️

Hi, thank you for your nice video .
is it easier to migrate or move there if you are from European Union's countries ? I'm from belgium .
thanks
Yes, it is
I just returned from Lanzarote after beeing there for 9 days with my family(not the first time in Canarias).I am looking to transfere to Tenerife or Lanzarote.Maybe more to Tf.because I have tweens aged almost 10 years and scooling is easier in Tf.My idea was to buy a real estate with appartments for short term rental.Hoewver I noticed that prices for real estate have gone up whilst renting is very cheap. For example a simmilar appartment would rent in Croatia or Slovenia for at least double price. It is true that in Canarias there is 12 month season whilst in the Adriatic is 4-5 months.Considering only business perspective it is not a big deal investing in Canarias. What are your thoughts considering the later?
Our business is online or on the continent, we don't rely on income from the island
@@LensVagabonds thx👍
I have a question about the bureaucracy: Are you two from a country that is a part of the European Union? In other words, are you both EU citizens? Does being an EU citizen make a difference in the amount of bureaucracy? (I’m from Germany)
Yes we are and no it doesn't :) Its just a fact, there are many offices and a lot of paper work
@@LensVagabonds Plus, all you need is to contract a gestor that can take care of everything for you.
Sure, but I want to keep my money in my pocket :)
I see he answered he's cheap and wants everything for free. So much moaning in one video. Sad.
It will be easier in the future after you have your nie you are able to request your firma digital ( a keycode associated to your nie) and you can do everything online! Your " empadronamiento" , your " vida laboral" , etc. But for the moment .....be water jajajaja. Spain is different!
Where were you 2 months ago ? :)))
@@LensVagabonds in madrid! Jajaja
:)
Hello. I'm from Italy and I want to move abroad to start my own business (and register a private company) because of the lower taxes and so on. I was wondering if you'd recommend moving to Tenerife. I have less than 8k euros but my business is online so I don't have big costs to run it. But of course I would need to rent a place to be considered a resident there. So the only expenses I can think of apart of business expenses would be food and rent, plus legal costs to register my company.
The situation is for everyone different. I cant say "yes move here". I only can say, for us as a family it worked (so far). Prices are rising here as well, rent, gas, electricity food...and so on, like everywhere else. As far as registering a company here, I have no idea how it works. I recommend you hire a "gestor" here and he/she will do all the paperwork for you
@@LensVagabonds I understand. Thanks for the reply!
I'm a Facilty Manager in vancouver canada, who is also a native spanish speaker. Do you guys think its ealistic to find a job there and make a living that can sustain a family with 2 kids?
In your sector no. However if you can work remote that's another animal alltogether :)
Are you guys still there? How has been these 7 months?
Yes still here, but currently traveling all over Europe with our business
That’s ma dad
So, how is it going now? Still like it?
Absolutely
Hi guys what the name of the company that you work I’m gonna look into it thank you
BOSE
I am looking for a place to retire. Looking at the Canary Islands and Madeira.......I am fluent in Spanish, IT/education professional. Looking for feedback and advice from the expat community.
All the best
Whats the name of that beach?
Las teresitas
What if you are retired and don't have to work because you have enough money to live. Is it hard for a retired American to live there?
No, if you have enough money its easy going here
@@LensVagabonds Thanks. Go to know.
Hi guys, we consider to move to Tenerife in a year. We are from Slovakia. I would like to ask you some private question. Do you have mail where I could write you please? ☺️
Hi Lucia, we have Instagram, you can contact us there. Thanks
@@LensVagabonds thanks, I will 🙃
Being Spanish it is difficult to live in Spain so figure out if you are a foreigner. Spain is a banana's monarchy similar to those of the Caribbean and South American countries. The king and queen make the country to their liking and thus a country cannot be formed. I prefer to live in Taiwan rather than Spain, there is less bureaucracy. Thanks for the video and take care all of you guys.
True about bureaucracy, but the vibe and feel in the canaries is nice. So far so good
@@LensVagabonds Not only bureaucracy is also dictatorship and corruption by the Popular Party, Vox and the Spanish monarchy, any Mediterranean country better than Spain.
just stop waking up at 6 am 😂it's Spain not Germany
You are so right :)
Many people wakes up at 6 pm an earlier here in the canaries and everywhere else in Spain, but that doesn't make you more hard working or a better human being, not making racist statements does.
You don't look happy. What is wrong??? The Eastern European sausage absence in Tenerife deli stores can't be the reason, can it? lol
Go easier on the ayahuasca
@@LensVagabonds If I understand "vagabonds" correctly in reference to you, it relates to people who don't stay in one place long; ie. they are wanderers... This would mean you are going to move on soon... Enthusiasm is a must though.
@@LensVagabonds If you are looking for Eastern European sausages and hams, I'd suggest to look for a Russian/Polish deli. I'm pretty sure there is one in Play San Juan and another in Costa del Silencio. Or search Tienda Rosa or Tienda/Mercado Polaca. I hope it will cheer you up 🙂
Buena suerte amigo Rumano!
Yes, I understand you 100%. But we are here to stay, we live here since 2021, pay taxes, are employed, we are no nomads. Thanks
@@LensVagabondsseen an uptick in all these comments
