- Finally got the time to review this Silent Hit of this season which you may know as #KaijuNo8 an #Anime that just also got game confirmed earlier.
Synopsis
----------------
After the destruction of their hometown, childhood friends Kafka Hibino and Mina Ashiro make a pact to become officers in the Defense Force-a militarized organization tasked with protecting Japan from colossal monsters known as "kaijuu." Decades later, the 32-year-old Kafka has all but given up on his dreams of heroism. Instead, he cleans up the remains of the slaughtered kaijuu after they are defeated by valiant soldiers-including Mina, who has successfully achieved their shared goal. - Фільми й анімація
Pretty quick show I mean 12 episodes felt like I could have binged this show but choose to watch weekly
The manga when I saw the content it might not be a longrunning series might be quick
Not expecting that either
I liked it, it subverted a lot of expectations. Clearly evil officer wasn't actually evil, but dedicated to his work (vice captain). Spoiled Rich Girl wasn't just talented due to money buying the best equipment but is legitimately talented and justifies her arrogance, but also shows humility. I don't know why they gave (in English Dub) the sidekick character the voice actor that mostly does villain roles which then made me expect him to be a turn at some stage of the first season. I like the strong emphasis of loyalty and team work even after Kafka gets revealed. THOUGH, watched a video on the Manga and that's disappointing. After like two arcs they run out of ideas and rinse repeat the formula ad nauseam.
