For example, more characters within classical literature. I thought about this a lot, and I was able to locate my personal system when it comes to “how much do I like a character”. This is what I valued the most. Relatability, enjoyment, personal impact on my life in some way, psychology, philosophy, memories of the character, and this one is interesting but very difficult to articulate. I also highly value when characters overcome very peculiar, difficult (for that individual), and enlightening challenges. This doesn’t mean something like Naruto becoming Hokage, it’s more like Edward saving his little brother, and all the traits, systems, and values that come along with such a task. It’s so individualized and impossible to assimilate if you’re not that person. I’m not sure if this makes sense, but this was my thought process.
