Cider vinegar rinse is very good for skin problems. Use a really gentle shampoo- like Cooper and Gracie or equivalent, rinse then use cup of cider vinegar to a litre or water and rinse through her skins, sponge onto all the places hard to reach like under her legs , gently around the ears and in the ears with a wrung out cloth that’s been soaked in the solution. Let her dry naturally- she will only smell like a pickle until she is dry . Then a good skin supplement from a holistic vet and never ever harsh shampoos ♥️🙏🏼

Oregano essential oil is also a concentrated extract from the oregano plant but it’s much more potent. Look for a product made by drying leaves and then extracting the oil using steam distillation. I hope you will answer this question, please. You said to put a couple drops of Oil of Oregano in the dog's food. Do the drops need to be diluted in a carrier oil? Thank you.
I understood that oil of oregano is already diluted. It’s the essential oil that must be diluted instead. So, no need to dilute oil of oregano. Also I found if you use the essential oil, it’s 1 part essential oil to 4 parts carrier oil (ie: olive oil; coconut oil).

What is THE trick to get the oil past their nose and into their mouth? Will it work in a diffuser, assuming I can get him to hold still in the steam? How much water and oil? For how long?
Cold defuser are good , you can combine it with some menthol oil - I’ve found my congested dog sat next to it as easing his nose and my cat who had cat flu regularly ( he was a little rescue kitten already infected with it , took weeks to get him well and spent first few weeks of his life in the vets on a drip ) he also would gravitate to the humidifier with that combo . Can’t use your humidifier for anything else so need a big old ugly pump it out one and they are pretty cheap on Amazon. Cleared up my husbands sinus problems that he’d had for years !
The frustrating part of this video is never knowing what dose to give your dog safely- like the my vet is going to tell me and loose hundreds of £ every year from ear infections and other infections? Vets in my experience have no idea about this stuff whatsoever. I’ve had to sort my own dose for infection in humans and now really struggling to figure out the right dose for dogs. They lock anything topical if they can get to it and boy , just getting a tiny drop on your skin can burn like crazy- never mind the oregano oil filled capsule getting stuck in you oesophagus 🥵 I totally agree oregano is natures own antibiotic but need more safe instructions on how it should be administered to dogs PLEASE 🙏🏼
How much should be added to toothpaste? My dog has one gum that is infected that I am trying to naturally resolve. I brush his teeth daily, and lately have been using a syringe to squirt around his gums a "mouthwash" I made for him, consisting of 1 cup of water, 1/4 cup of aloe vera juice and 2 teaspoons of baking soda. You would need to make sure that they are diluted properly and a whole capsule may be too much for dogs.
I hope you will answer this question, please. You said to put a couple drops of Oil of Oregano in the dog's food. Do the drops need to be diluted in a carrier oil?
Thank you.
Yes, Oil of Oregano always needs to be diluted in a carrier oil before feeding or using topically!
I would..I put coconut oil in my dogs food I’ll just add one drop of the oil of oregano to the coconut oil ?
They said olive oil .
How do I give it for a ear infection in my dog ?
I understood that oil of oregano is already diluted. It’s the essential oil that must be diluted instead. So, no need to dilute oil of oregano. Also I found if you use the essential oil, it’s 1 part essential oil to 4 parts carrier oil (ie: olive oil; coconut oil).
Oil of oregano helps with human coughs. Would it help with dog coughs? You didn’t mention that
I cannot find any information about age… is this safe for puppies? Is there a weight range for the amount of (diluted, actual oil of oregano) to use?
Oregano oil is considered one of the best natural ingredients for your dog. This herb oil has antibacterial, antiviral, antiparasitic, and antifungal properties. In fact, many farmers are using oregano oil as a natural antibiotic because it helps to keep poultry and livestock healthy. Some formulas are even made just for dogs, like this oregano oil from Garden of Life.
Why it works: Research is ongoing regarding oregano oil and other essential oils for dogs and whether they’re safe for them. Science shows the health benefits of oregano oil may come from two specific ingredients known as carvacrol and thymol . As with any other essential oil, it’s important to consult with your vet before giving your dog oregano oil.
How to administer: Be sure that you are using oil of oregano and not the herb itself. The oil is necessary to ensure that your pet gets the benefits of the carvacrol and thymol. To use it, dilute 2 or 3 drops in another carrier oil like olive oil and administer it topically
Dangers or side effects: Avoid oil of oregano for dogs who experience seizures.
Its pretty flippin strong smelling and I’m wondering if it will upset my chihuahuas stomach
Just asked the pendulum if I should give it to him and I got a NOPE.
Did you try it?
Can you just cut up some fresh oregano and put a pinch in food?
Fresh oregano isn't as potent as oil of oregano, so you would need to give much more fresh oregano to reap the same benefits as oil of oregano.
What brand should I get my dog has a skin infection on his face and side of nose.
We don't have any brand recommendations, but make sure it's organic and already diluted in a carrier oil!
How much oil of oregano should I add to the concoction?
Be careful I know aloe is toxic and pil of oregeno in large doses. Be careful with ur mouthwash. Hope ur fur baby is doing better
Start with 1 drop oreg oil. That's what I'm doing. No essential oil😊
@@sparxidigi Aloe is totally safe for dogs, as long as it's the inner fillet. It's been shown to heal the gut lining, increase nutrient absorption, and reduce seizures in dogs and humans. I definitely recommend it!
I definitely need to try the oil of oregano. Thank you for the suggestion!
@@sparxidigi Do you do 1 drop of oregano in the entire toothpaste mix or per brushing?
@@sparxidigi And thank you, I appreciate that! I recently started trying spraying Hypochlorus Acid spray on his teeth/gums, and that is already making a difference. Praying this heals and eradicates his infection finally.
Where is the dilution for 100% Oregano oil you mentioned in your video. Thanks.
Add 1 to 3 drops of oregano essential oil to a teaspoon of olive, almond or other carrier oil.
@@DogsNaturallyMagazineDNM isn't oregano ESSENTIAL oil different from Oil of Oregano???
Yes it’s way stronger
I take oil of Oregano every day. Will start giving the capsules to my yeasty beast. The vet doesn't help.
Tell me about it! I've spent a ton of money at the Vets during the past year because my little gal has been getting yeast infections and all the antibiotics and steroids simply are not working. I'm glad I found this video - had no idea about Oil of Oregano. Did you break up the capsules in your dog's food or does he take capsules easily? I have to "fool" mine with other things! :)
Our little Boston girl gets an infection from yeast at least twice a year and those medications really do take it out on them. I wish i could be so confident about giving her a capsule- have you never felt that pain when it regurgitates on you - that’s nasty !
My Great Pyrenees licks and chews on her paws. They smell like corn chips which is a sign of yeast. Can I use Oil of Oregano as a topical on her feet if she licks them?
If I apply Oil of Oregano in her food, would that help with yeast issues on her feet?
Yes it will help. You can rub it on the feet. They can ingest it.
So, I did the thing where you fill a jar with oregano and covered it with olive oil for several weeks then strained it. Is this the same oil of oregano being discussed here??
I did the same but I see no one is answering your question - so frustrating.
id try it im sure it would work, ive got oregano growing and i will be trying to make this
@@monicamajeau8429 I just learned from a holistic vet that homemade is not strong enough. She recommended and I purchased North American Herb & Spice Oil of Wild Oregano OREGANOL.P73
I got it at Whole Foods but I think Amazon also has it.
If I put this on my dogs feet she’s going to lick it. Is that ok?
I bought oreganol, on the back of the bottle it states “property blend in certified extra virgin olive oil” with wild oregano oil P73. The capsules are small, and feel they maybe safe for our dog. If I d put something different in her food, she will not eat it. Please help me, I believe our dog is suffering, and our vet just gives drugs. She is very itchy and licking her private areas, also, she has like oily and slimy poop.
Most dogs like coconut oil so buy the gel caps and just make sure they eat the coconut oil or extra virgin olive oil. That is how my dog takes it.
What if your dog lick his feet after
how about just give the dog dry oregano?
Unless I missed something, when talking about using topically, you changed to essential oil, telling us to dilute. Confusing, should have continued with oil of oregano, topically. Remember your the expert. If I'm not sure, I won't do. He's my baby, not a guinea pig.
Why can’t they just call it Oregano Oil 🤔
