I've used this for years. My dogs have never had fleas or worms. I use it myself and during a stressful time in my life I lost a lot of hair, the daily internal use of Diatomaceous earth helped grow my hair back in abundance.
Worked like a MIRACLE on 4 dogs for fleas! . We use it only in the summer. All we do is place a pinch in the water bowls. We find this works well. We are not placing on food. Just in water, just during the summer.
@@shawn4357 I would love to tell you the answer, if I knew. I have 4 dogs, who are inside , as they choose, but outside we have grass and hay on 5 acres. We did not know , when I brought home my youngest, a rescue, that he, in his dark fur , had fleas. So ,each year , we had thought we had gotten rid of fleas, only for them to return the next season. We are anti toxins and drugs, but we also do not want them getting worms as a result of fleas. We spent a lot of money on so many less toxic methods.2 years ago , the living room was a cloud of powder as we powdered the dogs and the furniture and carpet with diatamaceous earth. It was hard on the vacuume cleaner and the living room was a mess. So that method simply did not work for us. But somewhere I heard about putting it in food or water ( we never tried the food method). At first , I put it in their water daily. When I found it was working, I backed off to every other day, then to a couple of times a week. Only during flea season. It gets cold enough here in the Pacific NW, so it is not needed after first hard frost. I cannot tell you how it works when wet. I do know that my dogs are flea free. Now , they are never around other animals nor in public so that may be a factor that has helped. But the powdering down long haired dogs and the furniture and carpet was far too crazy. Best of luck
@poca11211 I take a teaspoon a day in 32 ounces of water. For my dog, she is a melanois and weighs 50 lbs, so I put 1/4 teaspoon in 60 ounces of water. This I do one week out of every month. For my cat, I add a pinch to his water, the same as my dog, a week out of every month. I make bone broth for them since DE can dehydrate them. Thank you for asking!
I did not know about coccidia in dogs and chickens. Watch the video on UA-cam under an agrobusiness insider and natural cure for coccidia. I was happy to know that garlic is good for that, which I also feed my dog with. 1 small garlic clove finely diced for 7 days out of the month. I stuff it in the raw meat I feed her with.
My aunt had cdiff. I can't imagine how horrible it must be for your dog 😢 I am here because our puppy is also having problems with her stomach. I want to try DE on my aunt as well. For cdiff, what worked for my aunt is activated charcoal, bentonite clay, a good liquid probiotic, plain yoghurt. These I have also given to our puppy. It did help. Don't forget the panacur, I'm not sure what it is called other than fenbendazol.
This doesn't make sense. DE is great to dust your pets with topically for fleas (being VERY careful to not get it near their eyes, ears, nose or mouth), but once it's wet - in either food or water - those "glasslike shards" are nothing but mud, essentially useless. Hate to bust everyone's bubble, including Dogs Naturally.

How much did you take daily?
Can you put this in cookies? So it has to get wet, would it still be effective

I don't understand. From what I've read it doesn't work when it's wet so how does it work if your pet iingest it?

Do you mix the powder in? Or just let it float
@@kurodesuuuu stir it in
@@ediewall6360 thanks! Do you do this everyday during flea season?
I use it for my dog and for myself.
Thank u for giving information regarding dogs.subscribed and love from india.
Diatomaceous earth must be dry to work for flea treatment around the house. *Do not wet it down or mix it with water* to make a spray.
Thank you.
What would be good for heartworms then?
Sorry. Does not work on heartworms!!
Raw Ginger can help
Wonderful information! I take it orally every day. I also take care of my pets with it. Thank you for sharing!
How much for yourself and how much for pets?

Will DE kill fleas if you put it in the cats food? Or is that only effective topically?
Can you please link a safe product to buy?
If you live near a tractor supply store they have it there, food grade , that's where we buy it.
Just make sure you buy Food Grade DE.
Hi there! thenaturaldogstore.com/collections/flea-tick-products/products/dermagic-flea-dust
Tractor supply has food grade DE.
Can you PLEASE link a safe brand to purchase?
Hi there! thenaturaldogstore.com/collections/flea-tick-products/products/dermagic-flea-dust
straight from diatomaceous earth website is best..
Any brand. Just make sure it is food grade.
Is it ok for cats?
What can you do for tapeworm??
Here is an article with natural dewormers:

Great info... I do wonder about the sustainability of DE. Anyone know about that?
😂
Diatoms live...
Diatoms die.
I don't think we're gonna run out.
Can DE work for coccidia in dogs? Finding conflicting info about this. Thanks!

Does this apply to cats too?
Hi there! Please double-check with your vet before applying or feeding Diatomaceous Earth to your cat!
Does DE work one dog lice. Not sure that's what my dog has. My daughter think so. Does it have to be wet before dog eat it.
DE should help with lice. If using it internally mix with raw or wet food first!

@felicityzeeman9212 thank you for that info! ❤️
Can you use with cats or only dogs?
I put a pinch in my cat's drinking water.
Dont breathe it in.
New subby here.
Welcome!!

So just apply it on there dry coat
If particles are like "glasschard particles " logically, mixed with water will not soften the particles (water can't soften glass)
There are clay detoxes. So, must work much the same
Can humans eat this? Seems like a miracle drug
That would be a great question for your doctor, we do not know if it is safe for human consumption :)
@@DogsNaturallyMagazineDNM I just bought some that says food grade, so I will give it a shot
It's like eating sand though...I couldn't handle it. 🤢🤮

How much did they pay you to make this video?
Who?
OMG... Should we take health advice from a 400-pounder?
Now that comment is rude.
Just a 10 year old hiding behind a screen. At least you act like it. SMH.
😆
Take a look in the mirror! You might have a perfect physique but your character has a lot to be desired. Your remark was uncalled for.
That was not only very rude but, totally uncalled sorry. Would you like being treated in such a horrible manner?
