Mayday Parker is the best legacy character to carry her father's legacy as Spider-Girl.
I have found it weird that Mephisto Is somehow afraid of her
And marvel are so scared of her that they decide to make Peter and MJ break up and have MJ be with "Paul".

I never understand why Marvel never adapt Spider-Girl into cartoon format. Oh wait I forgot Marvel hated Spider-Man to grow up. Honestly she and Miguel earn the legacy of Spider-Man and to be pass on.

I always love mayday parker Spider-girl growing up and honestly for me she's really awesome character and also a bonus having her be the daughter of both peter parker and mary jane makes me so happy because she gets to honor her father's legacy as the next Spider-person but also carry through her own legacy as well with both parents by her side which is really awesome and badass and carve her own legacy at the same time which is amazing in my opinion.
X-23, Miles and Miguel are probably the only legacy characters on the same level as Mayday. Sam Wilson is trying to break through to that tier IMO.
I don't think Gwen really counts as a legacy because its the same character from a different universe. Its like if Ultimate Peter from 1610 became the main 616 Spider-man, its the same guy at a different point in his life.
Let there be a Mayday Parker show or movie!
Considering how she was reintroduced in “across the spider-verse” , I say there’s a high chance we could she her appear in more future projects
quite unlikely since I mean Spider-Verse is ending with BTSV and there's no way that she could/would appear in the Spider-Gwen Spinoff movie since she'd be too young and has no business being there
I would be all for bringing back Mayyday in the main comics, if Zeb Wels was off the Spider-Man comics.

I think Peter can pass his legacy to Miles, Mayday and even other characters in the same way that Batman passed his legacy to Dick, Tim, Barbara, Terry in the future and somewhat to Jason and Damien. There weren't people doing what Batman was doing, the way he was doing it before Bruce started but now there's a whole team and network of people that have taken up the mission.
You could probably do a whole video about the similarities and differences between Spider-man and Batman as inspirational figures for future generations of heroes and who set the better example.

When I learned about mayday, I thought she was a great character! I never read the comics, but i thought she was a great character even before she appeared in ATSV. I just love the idea of the daughter of peter and mj continuing peter's legacy as the hero of the city! I'm hoping more stories can be told with her. We have yet to see a fourth sam raimi spiderman movie where they introduce her in live action! Now that tobey's peter is getting older, might as well make him a father.

Yeah, that would've been interesting it this were Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 4 with Tobey's Peter training her daughter of carrying his legacy and maybe had Tombstone and Janice Lincoln's Beetle be main antagonists in this hypothetical version of the film, like had them version evil foils to both Tobey's Peter and Mayday, that's would've been very interesting to see.

I think Miguel O'Hara is more of a Legacy Character than Gwen.
May would still work even with Miles. Have her Uncle Miles teaching her the ropes while Peter is offworld for an arc.
A funny way to look at it... The ongoing asm would be a massive story of "How I Met Your Mother", with Mayday being one of the endgames.
Imagine Peter telling Mayday the long history of him and MJ, explaining their ups and downs, leading all the way up to MD's birth.
Mayday was What if’s premiere breakout character. A one-off that debuted 20 years after What If initially started; but kept reappearing because there was a crap-ton of potential to be unearthed. So much so that she became the main focal point as her series progressed.
I remember reading Spider-Girl at the library when I was kid. I always thought this was a continuation of the original Spider-Man comics my dad read when he was a kid. I was so excited to see Spider-Girl at the idea of seeing Mayday in the a future Rami Spider-Man movie.
Oh well, maybe one day. Afterall Peter and MJ did manage to make their relationship work, so fingers crossed that Mayday exist in that universe.
I actually read a few of Mayday’s comics in my school’s library and I want her to come back. She seemed like an awesome character, she’s one of the first major lead female comic characters I ever met, and she wears my absolute favorite Spider Man suit which makes her go up a few notches in my eyes 🙂
But yeah, I want her to come back fully, maybe in a spin off book because I don’t think they’ve used her at all since the early, mid, or late 2000s
You know What I found interesting is Mephisto In the main marvel universe is afraid of her being born Because it was explained that she somehow defeats Mephisto Somehow even though she is human So that's why my He wanted to end peter's and MJ marriage Getting rid of the possibility Of their daughter
I have a theory that Since peter is worthy of becoming The new king in all black / new Symbiote god Basically a cosmic entity His children would be born With A lot of Power So that would explain why Mephisto Wanted to get involved in spiderman's life
Take away the possibility of his defeat And if possible Make sure spiderman has a horrible life And if he does Does in the future become a Cosmic god He would be a dark god Which would be Mephisto Ultimate victory

Mayday was actually born in 616. However, she was kidnapped by Alison Mongrain working for Norman Osborn. Peter and Mary Jane were told the baby was stillborn.
Mayday was supposed to be returned to them in a story called The Gathering of the Five but there was a writers change and the new writers wanted to bring back dead, old Aunt May instead.

One of the things I like is her suit, which connects her to Ben Reilly, who is HER Uncle Ben, which is such a cool idea it goes hard.
We have also gotten glimpses at 616 Mayday. During One More Day, Mephisto being the jerk he is turns into who looks like a 5 year old Mayday to tell them "This is the child you lost" during Nick Spencer's run on Spider-Man we saw a teenage Mayday, who is probably closets to us ever getting a 616 Mayday Parker.
It also told us that apparently in the future Mephisto rules the world but Spider-Mans daughter stops him, so he separated him and MJ so the kid is never born.
my elementary school's library only had spider-girl comics for some reason so mayday is a character i really like. the mc2 universe is so cool.

She should have her own animated serries set it in the early 2000’s or 90’s ( because that would allow Peter to actually have debuted in the 60’s )
I like the idea of Mayday and Annie being a crime fighting duo in say an animated series. Especially because I like the idea of the 2 sisters working together and how they'd interact. I know they met in the comics but that doesn't count
i think she's a good legacy character because she has the same goals and values as her predecessor, but she goes about them in her own way, she's not a copy paste character, but she's also not a complete 180.
but what kind of personality trait does she have that separates her from most spider people?
I liked that she was more fun and less bogged down with drama and poverty issues than other Spider-men, specifically Peter.

What is interesting about Mayday is that she often encounters and faces older versions of Peter's rogues gallery (in addition to her own) that have a personal vendetta against him. Her link and bond with her father integrates her into Spider-Man's lore from the very beginning (with flashbacks to Peter' own history) and the fallout of previous battles is seen with some villains and how that plays out on his own daughter. The lore therefore feels like much more a continuation of Peter's story as opposed to other characters which are based on an entirely different background. Her personality is a mixture of Peter and MJ - she takes the best from both of them (her father's nerdy/smart side, and her mother's energy and fun loving nature), and since both her parents are still alive we get to see them adapt and grow with her on her journey. It's much more a "Parker family" book than other legacy characters.

Her background is same at 616 clone saga story where she is kidnapped as a baby by Norman Osborn and later found by Kaine (one of Peter's clones), instead of killed off like in the original comics. She is into basketball and is in high school when she develops her powers due to inheriting from Peter. Her first battle is against Normie Osborn who is Harry's son, he wants revenge against Peter for his history with Norman/Harry and is inheriting the Goblin legacy. Mayday takes him on and eventually Normie has feelings for Mayday and turns good. There are interesting stories with original Hobgoblin later on and Carnage attacking her baby brother. It's starts a little rocky on the first 10 issues or so but by issue 25 or so I was really into it. I think the series gets better as it goes.
I have always thought that Mayday was better to continue Peter's legacy compared to Miles. I've always had this idea in my where how I would introduce Miles and make Mayday his mentor because that's something that I don't hear being thrown around and their dynamic would be interesting but also fresh.

4:52 its just as believable as when miles bears the mantle of spider-man. no, he's not related to Peter, but he wouldn't want to see him get hurt still the same way I don't wanna see somebody get hurt even though they're not related to me.
This is my one issue with Spider-Man life story. It condenses Spider-Man’s history down significantly, to the point that venom and kraven are one in the same, but then instead of having Spider-Man’s successor being his daughter, which would fit more in a streamlined continuity, they used miles instead. And even then, the daughter Peter does have in that universe isn’t mayday, but the brand new character Claire

Mayday was always the one to take the mantle of spider-man though sadly, she can never *stay* put or exist in the univerde at all. It's a shame because Peter's whole thing is that he's supposed to grow and he's now in his 30's and fumbling as a hero. Adding her in the universe would destroy the view of "spider-man" marvel has and would age him up but in the best way. In my opinion, Marvel, it's about time to start rebooting the 616 universe itself, not by bringing a new universe entirely but restarting that universe's history. Or, the perhaps easier (but slightly redundent solution), make Mayday a baby in mainstream 616 and keep her like that but make stories in the 616 future set on earth MC2 in a 2099-type future

I am surprised people know about her but the ones that do know that she is the best, Black tarantula, BENGY!! and many more. I assume you read her run growing up cause that is how I found out about her, I do not see many back issues of her or people who even know her, along with Avengers Next's, American Dream, J2, etc. But also the worse most useless of useless characters ever created SABERCLAW I despise this character why does he exist. Anyway glad to see someone who actually likes good well written characters. Although I could be bias but in my defense the comic still holds up. Also "X-people" for those who do not get that reference.
Marvel you should reboot again just to put Mayday in 616 canon.

Yeah you are right, personality wise Mayday is not that much different from Peter but her stories and her interaction with others made people like her.
I agree with you on Miles, at least Mayday has the excuse of being Peter's daughter while Miles is just a copy of Ultimate Peter. There is a reason that they change Miles origin story with every adaptation.

@@GiovanniAlckmimRusso he's more open about how he feels and isnt afraid to ask for help if he needs it, he's much more powerful than her, he's not a loser/nerd and he's actually quite popular at his school, he's much more of a team player than a solo act, feels obligated to live up or somewhat even surpass peter, he lacks patience and feels inferior to Peter without taking into consideration the training and experience Peter had to go through by himself the mistakes he made, his occasional character drift, etc.
