I would love to calculate who would win now. As hulk and Spider-Man both have different abilities. Hulk can over Spider-Man but Spider-Man can over come hulk both of them in many different ways. Interesting isn't it?
The thing with Wolverine is intentional. Peter was having a rough time of it. So Wolverine hits on MJ to intentionally piss off Peter. Because Wolverine can take any punishment that Pete can dish out. Luke Cage says all this to Logan, but Logan just brushes him off.
That’s because no matter how strong Peter is, regardless if he was holding back or not. He ain’t strong enough to break Longan’s Adamintium coated skeleton. He survived ruffles with the Hulk nearly regularly(and he is VASTLY stronger then Peter every can be on either he’s good day or bad day) and a ground zero nuclear explosion, point blank.
Exactly. MJ also thanked Logan for doing it because even she figured out that Logan did that to distract Peter. I believe the public thought MJ and Tony was an item, which wasn't true, and it pissed Peter off.
It makes sense in the movie. The suit gave Pete more confidence, but Peter Parker is also a total dork, so chances are he was finally acting how he thought a 'cool guy' is supposed to act.

This is a good story that in retrospect has been ruined by future Symbiote stories. Going by current stories, Venom wouldn't need to kill Reed since the Symbiote holds the attributes of previous hosts. Or Carnage recently killing gods and absorbing powers. Interesting stories like this are made redundant by Marvel's current "everyone is omega level and can do everything" phase.
@@G-LukeJA but thanks to Marvel comics' current insistence of being parallel to whatever Marvel studios is pumping out and the multiverse being shoehorned into every story, everything that was self contained or a one shot is now forced I to canon. At any point this interesting portrayal of Peter Parker and Venom could be thrust into a story. I know the multiverse isn't a new concept, it's been a plot device for decades but like Mjolnir being lifted by someone other than Thor it was used sparingly or saved for major events. Now it's everywhere and that by itself isn't a bad thing, but when paired with poor writing it just seems lazy. Secret Wars for example was cool, and had some pretty sick panels, but Venom and Carnage are currently edging closer to a corner that can't be written out from. Similarly with X-Men comics. It used to be about the struggle of acceptance and opening the door to new mutants. Now everyone is omega level which makes the whole concept meaningless. The X-Men have conquered death, there are thousands of reality warping mutants, there are dozens of precognitive mutants, and more. They could go the DC route and have a "crisis" event every time stories are going nowhere, but DC have the impressive ability to write themselves right back to a stalemate all over again. can't help but wonder if some aspects of this comic inspired parts of insomniac's SM2, with the suit physically altering with how much it affects peter over time and other things
Honestly this story is a lot like the story in Spiderman 2 for the Ps5. Peter gets the Venom Suit, stops holding back, he eventually gets it off of him but it latches onto someone else. Eventually, that person who has the suit dies.
An old school favorite of mine was Spiderman beating Firelord in a straight up fight. This was mid 80s as I recall. Firelord being a herald of Galactus was probably the biggest threat he beat to that point that I recall. He cuts loose with everything he has to do it.
I've read that story when it came out, I think it was called "What if... Peter Parker kept the alien suit" or "black suit" or something like that. It was awesome, showing Spidey in a total new spotlight many people were wondering about how he'd end up. But that story was much better than anybody elses ideas, including mine.
Two battles. I don't remember which issues, but some time in the late 80s, Spiderman had fights against Absorbing Man/Titania and another against Firestorm.
I just have to ask. Perhaps this is just due to me not reading enough about the comics but something that has always confused me about when these heroes kill these villains is how everyone else acts so shocked and stuff. Don't get me wrong I'd be shocked about Spider-Man killing as well. But it just seems to be the same villains. So I guess what I'm really getting at here is if it's the same people over and over and he keeps catching them over and over. Why is it they just go to prison? Why is the death penalty never the option for them? Why is it always up to the heroes to kill these people and potentially mentally scaring them? I'm not saying kill all of them but if they are just going to do it over and over again then it doesn't seem very secure if they can just escape over and over again. I honestly feel like Superman was right for the first few sentences in Injustice 1. If we can't contain them and they don't want to get better and just keep wanting to kill people then just kill them right?

I always say that a rogue spiderman would be extremely hard to deal with he dodges point blank bullets, moves faster than you can track, is an unorthodox combat specialist and can literally obliterate you with a punch. You’d have to send a full army in hopes of just containing him
I always wanted a alternate Spidey that was Punisher level brutal and when he was in his suit he would take on more of a Spider type persona. Quite, sneaky, brutal, like jump out of the shadows with his agility and snap a neck on the way to next shadow. Like Dexter but Spiderman.
Ever since I saw spider man like lift an entire building I kinda just went “huh yeah he could probably just punch the rhino’s head off if he really wanted to”
The real reason Peter can't keep the symbiote is that would mean here would be someone in his corner. Someone that actually wanted his life to get better.
