Any good videos that explain how and why it works? Makes no sense to me. To me it’s fixing a problem by embracing the fueling flaws instead of correcting the fueling
I guess after watching to the end I get it. I thought this was to help with the fueling weirdness compared to old Ducati’s. I have no doubt it helps with the slop on roll on though
Did this to my 899 and it’s a night and day difference from b 4. No slop whatsoever and great control on throttle rotation way better than b 4 the way it should be.
On the road, I bet this is a game changer, but for track, I'd be apprehensive. If you have ever added a little throttle by mistake when going for the brakes on track, you'll know what I mean.
Exactly.. Even on the road it's a safety feature to have that bit of slack to prevent accidental roll on of throttle. Especially mid corner or going over a bump etc..
I found out from my local ducati dealer that there is a legal requirement that ride by wire throttles have to "feel" similar to a cable throttle with some movement. Different markets have different legislation on the amount so they make it to cover the maximum requirement so its not a case of Ducati or anybody else just making it without slop. Bit like the whale dong or boat anchor as we call it here in Australia, just one of the stupid rules all manufactures have to abide by unfortunetly.
Most of today's bikes have that sloppy throttle and from what i know, that is an intended thing from the manufacturers. Why would we want to get rid of that?
there is nothing to fix…. i’ve almost given up telling folks this… But the slack in the throttle is there for a reason! Trust me. While it might feel more responsive to you, it will do long term damage to your starter and ride by wire over time. Every master Ducati mechanic i know has seen this. Throttle spacers are an excuse for poor throttle control. It’s there for a reason, ESPECIALLY on the track
Bill you mentioned at the end of this video the the V2 brakes might be worse than the Streetfighter brakes. I’ve test ridden 2 Streetfighters and plan to buy one in July.. what’s the issue with the SF brakes?
@@CaliMotoTV Ah ok, I don’t plan to race mine at all and will be mostly riding on the street with some light hooligan behaviour. As long as the brakes work better than my 2014 FZ09 I’m happy.
had to do this to the 2019 Kim 690 smcr but I used electrical tape that I cut into small slivers and went around and around. same problem
Just got a hypermotard and I hate the play that is in the throttle. Great video. Cheers
Super simple install, the dude that runs Ducati spacers is pretty cool as well. I need that for my V4 Speciale. Love the garage!
@@CaliMotoTV no problem!

But that’s just how I picture it solving the issue in my head, struggling to understand how this fixes anything for a EFI system

@@Fee.1 not that I've seen, there's actually just free play in the throttle grip. Not a fueling or electronic issue

Nice! 🙌
Appreciate it yet again. Great content mate!
Thanks for watching 🙏
Good content ! Did you do the exhaust on this bike? Which one did you go for?
HI

Where did you get there clear tank grips and protector???
I did these on the Sf before i rode it!
On the road, I bet this is a game changer, but for track, I'd be apprehensive. If you have ever added a little throttle by mistake when going for the brakes on track, you'll know what I mean.
then why do most serious track riders use quick action throttles that get rid of the slop and reduce the twist required to get to full throttle?
@@scooteractual this Mod isn't a quick action throttle mod
On track It's just awesome no power delay, just get used to it aand don't left behind simple.

it's not a legal requirement for sure 1250Gs does not have that "feel"
Your video is the best
have everything information.
I bought ducati spacer for sfv4s
Very very Thank you

Hello sir my Ducati 848evo 0005sw error and without key flashing speedometer please tell me now this problem I am waiting your answer
Sorry, no idea. Consult a Ducati tech

Thank you for the vid and product knowledge. Does make me curious as to why Ducati doesn't step up and fix this issue. It is not a new issue. FIX IT
Im guessing Ducati designed allows the throttle gap so safety reasons so rider don't accelerate by mistake?

It's a good mod, but $52 (as I write this) is gouging for what it is. Shop around, lots of places to get these. I paid $18 shipped.
first thing i did to my Monster ;) way better for sure
Why can’t manufacturers take the slop out of throttles in the first place?
See my comment above
Can’t blame it on cable stretch ! 🇬🇧🏍
I did this and its a game changer, for example now girls are always give me phone numbers and motel keys.
Why wouldn't they address this from the factory/design?
That 'slop' is meant to be there. It's on most motorcycles. It's a safety feature to stop accidental roll on of throttle..
