I have put 3200kms on my Gen2 500. The Rear diff leak is very common, its been on forums, social media pages, etc. It happened to me as well. Dealer put a new seal in and no issues since. Seems there was an issue from factory. They've corrected it for new models. My 2nd issue was water damage in the screen. It was a complete fluke. I dont do deep water at all either nor beat it to crap. Dealer sent photos to CFMOTO and they couldn't believe it happened, but did warranty it with no questions. 3rd issue was a recall on the blinker relay. Simple, was covered. I love this machine. I've rackes up the miles and keeps on going. I have added some accessories and a now high-flow 2inch exhaust tip. Helps with cooling and bit more grunt.
I should probably fix the diff leak while it's winter. How bad was yours leaking? At the moment, mine only seeps when I ride it, very minimal. I'm out of warranty, so I'll probably replace it myself.
All atvs have to have the valves checked/adjusted- only if needed. When I had my KingQuad 400, 500, 750, they never needed adjusted at all. It tends to run as normal at the high mark for temp reading on mine as well. I did manage to bend my skid plate on a small bump in the trail. It needs better skid plates. Shifter is notchy. Build quality is 2nd to none. I feel like; the 500 KingQuad def got more low end punch & will wheelie on demand. I understand the cforce 500 does weigh an extra 100 lbs more with the same 38 hp. I have to find some accessories to bolt on this week.
I bought the 600 took me about 1 1/2 to get the plastics off and 1 1/2 to get him back on maybe 10 minutes at most to take the valve cover off check the valves and put it back on again. There was no way I was going to pay CFMOTO to do that for $500. All these new machines are the same they have the engine completely trapped in plastic stupid if u ask me. By the way the valves were all still spot on Really was a waste of time and I knew it was tthe machine was running fine.
With the temperature gauge problem in the fan coming on and off when does that all the time? But otherwise it has been great and I did blow up my clutch somehow just from riding down the road to a buddies house, but that’s pretty much it and I’ve had almost 2000 miles on it.
The valve clearance maintenance is a manufacture precaution.. not necessary by any means other than some push back incase there is a costly warranty claim. The dash and oil leak are slightly unusual and considerably leaning towards what some may call a lemon. A new vehicle is a new vehicle and should be as accountable as a new car (CF Moto is now a reputable brand). There should not be any oil leaks or malfunctioning electronics.
I have a 600 touring. I have 1000 miles on it. I had the same temperature problem and it was air in the system. The shifter will free up, but if you will hold the break when you stop it will shift easier till then. But I have had no other issues with mine.
It’s a little stiff, but still rides good. I love the extra length on the steep trails. I live right in the middle of the Hatfield and McCoy trail system.
@@RideAlongOutdoorsCh.Yes it definitely is the maxima coolanol as I did the same to my 2021 500cc with the same results. My 600 runs cooler without a doubt @ idle once it hits 4 bars the fan kicks on for about 20 seconds then turns off and I'm back to 3 bars. With the factory coolant @ idle it would run @ 4 bars then to 5 bars then the fan would come on an drop it back to 4 bars. So yes the maxima coolanol is well worth the $$. I drained the entire cooling system in my 23 600cc and switched it to maxima coolanol. Driving now with the maxima it mostly stays @ 3 bars where with factory coolant it was 4 bars and once in awhile it would reach 5 bars. Definitely one of the things a person can do that will be a engine saver.
The valves are part of the 1 year warranty. Engine and drive train. So as long as you got your 1000 miles or 200 notes with in warranty should be fine. Diffs are also covered
got the same 2 months ago 100 miles, nothing wrong yet. Shifter finally starting to break in, that thing was annoying af lol. nice ride! Also mine was recommended break in service just check normal things over and change fluids, first service is at 1500 km or 50 hours and my dealer never mentioned any valve clearance check, strange.
Never did say the miles cf600 2200 somewhere around there And honestly the only thing that doesn't work is my reverse light and I don't know if they ever did. Not a fuse so I think it's in the reverse switch Besides that still on the original belt did upgrade a lot of things though. Weight less issues then I had with my brand new Polaris 570 That thing was falling apart at 2000 miles.
Every machine out there even Hondas have certain issues. My friend brand new Polaris 450 already blew up the engine and they won’t cover it because he told them he went in water pass the foot wells
All ATVs need the valves adjusted it’s unrealistic to expect any machine not to need services like that. The diff leaking sucks probably just shit luck
After watching this, I looked at my cforce 600 Touring, and it looks like a minor leak at the front diff. Hopefully, it's nothing major. It's at 300 miles.
I am enjoying mine I got back in August. I am 45 minutes from being done with break in and first service. If I wanted a Canam or Honda with the same features, I would have had to pay 11 grand or so. My 500 cost me 7118.99 with a 3 year warranty.
Me. I have owned 2 and they are more reliable than the POS Polaris I owned. You are not seeing all the positives of the machines. His machine may be a lemon.
Me, rather shell out big money on a new snowmobile then a wheeler since all ill use it for is small snow plowing, firewood and hauling a deer out. If i wanted to go wheeling id have more fun in a old xj and parts are all over the junk yards
Buy literally anything, you get China. Where have you been? It's not 1980. Plus, it's pretty minor issues if you ask me. She still runs just fine. Knock on wood.
1980? What's that got to do with anything?@@RideAlongOutdoorsCh. It's the only ATV built in China, which is a communist country that constantly steals trade secrets, undermines us every chance they get, is accused of genocide against the Uyghurs, Threatens Taiwan with attack's. They are well known for selling inferior goods and parts I could go on. If you feel comfortable buying from them, have at it.
@@RideAlongOutdoorsCh. You can find non China ATV'S, Plenty of them out there, China is our number one threat or don't you read the news? Go ahead and support there junk if that's what you want. At least we unlike China live in a free country.
Went to Iowa City Dealership & they offered absolutely nothing looked at the CFmoto 600 was told $6,000 but out the door was $8,000 not one discount or break!!! In this economy he should've offered his daughter as well... Joking but still absolutely nothing was like $1,400 for that break in check they called it!!! WTF???

@RideAlongOutdoorsCh. It was only seeping, and only while riding. It's a fairly easy fix. Dealer said it took them maybe a half hour.

King quad 500 is the best
On the rear diff leak check the breather tube for blockage.
I didn't think about that. I'll have to look into it!

It is disappointing, and it's past the warranty.

I've been debating swapping out the coolent for EngineIce. How do you like riding the touring with no passenger, any downsides?
It’s a little stiff, but still rides good. I love the extra length on the steep trails. I live right in the middle of the Hatfield and McCoy trail system.
Change out the factory garage coolant to maxima coolanol. I did and mine runs a bar cooler at all times.
Do you attribute the better cooling to the different coolant or flushing and purging the system?

Surely it’s still under warranty?
Was it leaking before you topped it off?
It also maybe your battery connection. Tighten it dien!
It was leaking, but not a lot, because it didn't take much at all to top it off.

If you're outside of the US, things might be different. I would check what your owners manual states for break-in maintenance.
My cforce 500 fan cuts on off like that did have oil leak in seal
