Is the passenger seat detachable?
Yes. My walk-around video goes over it if you're interested.
6months is it still working?
@@speeedoooclips Yes, they both still work.
I bought the 2022 model, new, 3 years ago this month. I only have 18hrs and 198 miles on it. I just installed ITP Blackwater Evolution tires on it 2 days ago. I don't have much use on it but I can tell you this, the fuel pump died when I reached 5hrs. This happened 1 month after the 3 month warranty expired! The dealer chaged me about $850 to replace the fuel pump and $150 to repair a puncture in the stock rear CST tire that happened at the same time (nail). I later found out a new tire online was only $120. Go figure! I installed the premium Polaris winch, a Titan basket up front, and a Tesseract box on the back, from Russia. I think I have close to $20,000 in it now. I suppose I should go ride it. I haven't even washed it yet because it hasn't gotten dirty yet. I always store it in a climate/humidity controlled building. The new ITP tires are 28x9 in the front, and 28x11 in the back. No wheel spacers and no lift kit, no rubbing.
What size?
LT 275/65 R20
I bought a 2011 850 touring brand new. Loved that quad. It was a tank. I went everywhere with it and never got stuck. I had it for about 10 years and never had one problem with it.
Bought a new 2025 800 Touring model last week, $9,399 out the door. I'm just blown away by this beast's performance, quality, and standard features. For that kind of money, nothing else out there even comes close. Could not be happier with my purchase!
I have been happy with my Polaris !! I have always had Yamaha quads
Thats why im keeping my cforce 500s....its paid for as well
Just put any gas shocks will be 💯 better
Yes...good deal
Did you trade the cforce 500s
No way. I sold it. And I only got $500 less than what I paid for it. Worked out well.
Excellent idea re..shapoo plunger
Id prolly go to 25 or maybe 24s kenda bear claw HTRs for my next tires......really good trail reviews and very little tire roll
I changed up to 26 zillas all round which were game changer from stock
The bigger power machine use more gas
Youll also love the gas mileage
Sorry im rambling on...lol
If you find your ride to stiff..increase your trail speed a little till you find the sweet spot your machine likes to run.....awesome
I replaced the regular engine oil in both diffs to 90 weight gear oil and removed the engine brake bearing in the primary clutch which really smoothed out the trail riding...theres so much natural compression from the engine you dont need it....also i removed the anti sway bar i found that the rear suspension had no articulation...now ive got way more articulation..big improvements
Mine was 11k Canadian taxes in which includes a factory matching paint windshield which is a game changer for trail riding...i highly recommend a windshield...you wont take it off!!
Totally right on your prediction re price...thanks for the video man....im from Ontario Canada....we have great trails up here as well
My next mod will be a trail stage 3 clutch kit and full aluminum skid plate...which will tighten up the frame....boom!!!
Ive got a 2022 gen 1....i love it....i run with 700s....more nimble and has more trail power than you need....i put 26 maxiss zillas all round...1.5 prefix lift kit...and 2 inch wheel spacers........amazing
It will run with any machine...no problem
Its a great machine....very nimble and runs great and straight on the trail....youd be sorry if you traded it in.....
You need to invest in a wireless microphone. All I hear is mumbling...
You're not wrong. Thanks for the feedback.
If this atv has thermostat ( usless) just remove it completely, never engine would heat up to make the fan to work, that i would do.
I'll give you 5,000 for it
i bought my 850 brand new, once the warrenty was over, i basically bought it again in repairs.
@@shaker650 l had that same problem with my outlander
Very nice I sold mines due to not riding it now I miss it
I went for the can am 850 max last week. I didn’t much care for the plastics or styling of the Polaris and the shifter hit my knee. The ergonomics of the Polaris didn’t work for me but it seems like a decent machine.
Sweet! I would have to agree that the design is a bit long in the tooth and has some flaws (pain in the ass to clean). But so far I'm really enjoying it. I'm only 5ft8, and I feel really comfortable on it. I was close to buying the 700 max.
Did you consider getting the new cfmoto 800 or 1000
I looked at one a few months back, but it would have been over $10k. I didn't want to spend that much. So when I saw this Sportsman for $8,500, I jumped on it. Plus, I believe they have a stop ride recall out for the Cforce, or at least they did.
Why did you get rid of the cforce
Just wanted to experience something different and needed the money to go towards the 850.
I bought a 2014 touring 850 used back in 2018 for 6k Its literally still the same bike in todays standards. Still have it today and it's been a great bike. 8000 miles. Now it's lifted on 32s with highlighter kit. It is snorkeled.
I always wished Polaris would have updated the touring to the newer style 850/1000 bodywork! Anyways, congrats on the new ride! Cheers
one piece of garbage to another LMAO
Ok kid.
@@RideAlongOutdoorsCh.What do you ride?
@@johnduran769 He’s a Can’t Am douche. Overpaid on a brand that spends more time in the shop than on the trails. They’re fast though, when they work.
Nice machine, this is the one I wanted but the price was just to much. I ended up on a CForce 600 Touring. Im sure your gonna really enjoy the 850.
Thanks, I'm excited. You're right about the price. It is a lot. That's why I went the used route. If you're patient, you can find good deals. Skip the dealer fees and taxes.
If you ever went on dirt and gravel roads were they still good at not picking up rocks? Thanks.
My experience they weren't bad. However, I dont drive gravel roads a lot.
Great idea, I wasn't liking the price or the bulky size of the atv boxes on the market
Im a big Team Green fan butt, lately i havnt been feeling the love. Just got a yamaha 421 and i love the green thing.
I feel like the Japanese oem need to upgrade and introduce new machines more often! Both in the atv and sxs market.
Why does kymco not level out their racks? Sloped forward too much to serve as a table top. Argo is the same way.
I've had BFG KO2's, BFG MT's, Falken AT3W's, and then these round Italian things. I f'ing hate these tires. Slip badly on the washboard, damn near went over the edge on a packed snow mountain road last winter (not moving aggressively at all...they simply released rolling straight forward with no brake applied....smfh), and they slip on simple forest service roads out west. They are a smoking low price deal but not even remotely worth it in my opinion. I got them because of the 3 peaks cert and my need to drive through the mountain west in the wintertime...going back to the Falken's before winter.
I have a question. Is it recommended for snow?
It has a 3 peak snow rating. My experience it performed pretty well on snow covered roads in town, stop and go slower speeds.
6 months later.... what's your thoughts on them?
I am almost to my first 5k rotation. I'm planning on making another video about my thoughts thus far. They are not loud, a little noise to start with. However, almost all my miles have been towing. The first 1k miles they were really squirmy, but they feel stable now. Not much wear, ride just fine. They do pick up rocks.
@@RideAlongOutdoorsCh. thank you for the update, I'll sub so I can continue to see the progress.
Is it noisy on normal road or it is quiet like a regular tire ?
My experience, they are quiet. I have never really noticed any noise.
Don’t buy one, no ride recall for throttle cable, no replacement parts
What about the 850/1000? No updates?
I had a Dewalt Tough system small box on my Grizzly 450. Took it off when I sold it. Not sure what I’ll do on the 700 i just bought.
I own one and it's the smoothest atv I have rode so far off road. I will be buying the 1000cc touring addition soon.
I will be putting up a review video the end of the month on youtube.
With the temperature gauge problem in the fan coming on and off when does that all the time? But otherwise it has been great and I did blow up my clutch somehow just from riding down the road to a buddies house, but that’s pretty much it and I’ve had almost 2000 miles on it.
