I have 2021 600 have never had an issue of any type. Has performed flawlessly.
* It’s stored inside and isn’t used as a submarine.
I have a 21 cforce 600 and love it i have had 0 issues, I can let it sit in my garage for months and go out and it starts right up and runs great. !
Just wanted to say,I to have Owned all makes of 4 wheelers and motorcycles, and I'm not downing any makes, just saying I really like my cfmoto 600, and I do have to say it hasn't given me any issues, nothing. And you definitely can't beat the price of the machines .
I have a 21 cf600. I haven't had any issues until this morning with a dead battery. Could be the cold blast we just had. Not too sure until I get in there.
@angbry8305 yeah it's best to keep on a trickle charger for the winter. I start mine about every other week just to keep things moving.
It’s all about how you take care of your machine and your equipment maintenance. I’ve had them all Can-Am Honda Yamaha side-by-side four wheelers Polaris even Mahindra Polaris was the biggest pain in the ass. I had now I have a Cfmoto 950 HO EX hadn’t had a bit of problems. Parts for these machines are made all over in other countries. No different than all the rest of them.
I bought a 2023 CFMoto Uforce 1000, last year they wanted $12,998 plus all the crap you are talking about, which moved up to $15,000. I said no, I give you $12,000 cash and they said ok and the first thing I did was to put a new MSC stag 3 trail clutch and I love the machine. I really appreciate your honesty on everything you do and say on your channel.
That’s a great deal you got! I checked everywhere around me early this year and no one would budge on the extra fees.. so I didn’t buy one.
I have a 2023 CFORCE 400 touring, zero issues runs great, pretty powerful for a 400
Talked my mother-in-law into a 2024 can am 700xt. Man is it nice. We are both fellow Vermonters. Great video you earned another sub.
Awesome, I haven’t had the chance to try the new Big single Cylinders from Can am.
@@rockspowersports they are great, i own one as well, but i already see some problems with them when they are in for service. (BRP dealer tech)
I have a 2020 Hisun Tactic 2up...1300 miles, garage kept, typical trail mud, most trail rider, it's been a good bike. It's all how you treat your machine
WELL EVERYTHING YOU HAVE CONPLAIND ABOUT IS THE SAME EXACT ISSUES WE HAVE WITH EVERY BRAND
Cf moto owner...zero issues...ZERO!!!!!
Yes sir we got first one 9 years ago working in forest no problems!!!!Now we got new one 3000km np 💪😎
Have 2022 800 zero issues
Bought my wifes 600 in 21. Did have to replace her selenoid. Been a great machine. Traded my 21 xmr 1000 for a 24 cf 1000. Love it!!!
This is why i love my new Yamaha kodiak, the stuff you cant see makes a difference.
Can’t beat the Japanese models 🤙
@@freedomisntfree_44 At least Japanese Brand names still mean something, as long as everything chinese is made by the communists ,Brand names mean nothing and cant be trusted because of it.
Kodiak 450 or the 700?
Well if you take care of your new Yamaha the way this unit was taken care of, you will also have lots of problems. This is a perfect example of why I never buy used……especially with ATV’s and SXS’s. That owner probably totally flooded the machine.
I just bought a 24 Kodiak 700 about a month ago and I love it
Man I really do appreciate the information you share on your page. Keep up the good work and the straight forward knowledge on all the machines you work on. Salute
You have to have your foot on the foot brake to shift gears and to start if it is in gear or the starter will not engage. I have a 21 cforce 800 xc touring. It now has 5500 km on it. (3416 miles/250 hours) just had some starting issues on it. The main relay and the fuel pump relay. was starting to get a little flaky so I replaced them. works good now. Ordered the relays off Amazon five relays for 22 bucks. So I have spares now. Just been doing regular maintenance on. It seems to be good so far. I’m a mechanic so it wasn’t hard to figure out. The quality of these machines seems to be pretty good to me.
Love the sign in the front yard. Well played sir.
Had to replay that to catch it I completely agree😊
You won't love the sign much longer buddy. You'll come to regret it.
The level of corruption and ignorance is incredible.
Man, you make me appreciate my kingquad 750 2021!
I’ve beaten the shit out of it for 3000 km , 180 hours
Never let me down
I have a 21 cforce 500s and have had 0 issues with it, very satisfied with it being my first Cfmoto atv. Only thing that gets me is the jerky take off, which is a common issue with that brand.
Glad to hear you’ve had no issues, it sounds like a lot of people are doing clutch kits to help with the take off issues.
@ That’s true I’ve thought about ordering for mine as well, or just might leave it be 🤣🤣🤣
I cleaned out my clutch and belt housing if you put dry lube on the clutch cones (not near the belt) it engages smoothly
Just purchased a 2025 CF 800. Always had Honda , Yamaha & arctic cat. Hopefully the 2025 have improved !
CanAm has the most reliable c.v.t drives in the industry. Yamaha is really good too.
I own a 2022 CForce 600 identical to this other than it is not the touring. Bought if for the wife to ride with me. Fingers crossed I don’t experience anything you listed, but this machine has been a really good one! Impressive on the trails and hangs with the big names. I can’t say enough good things about it. A couple things I may upgrade in the future is the winch and maybe get a clutch kit.
Exhaust welds will very likely fail eventually on it. Just had them welded on mine.
One of the first times I've heard you really dis a manufacturer. It's good for them to hear, maybe they'll learn.
@@eastkingstonnh nothing for them to learn, they're a great product with few issues, no more or less than ANY other brands!!!! You wait and see just how far they go...will be top brand in just a few years!!!
Good video. I had a 2022 Cforce 1000 in May 2022. I put 3,500 km (2,200 mi) and I think it was around 300 hours. I blew two radiator fan fuses the first weekend I had it. That was it, no other problems the whole time. The clutching was much better than the 600. I hate how loud that 600 is at just cruising speed. But the twins seem to be much better. Anyway, I just traded my atv in for a new Zforce 950 sport g2. Hope I get the same reliability I already had. Cfmoto have a bad rep just for being Chinese, which I really get a kick out of because the people complaining are doing so on their Chinese made iPhones haha.
oh yeah, the 600 is VERY loud while cruising lol. To the point i have thought about installing some kind of custom exhaust on it to quiet it down.
Stop mudding with it 😢
Ive had just about everyrthing, and just got my first cfmoto, brand new gen 3 1000 i've already put 900 miles on it. I can confidently say they are built better than canams, at least the new gen 3 cforce
I have a 22 CForce 600 and like you love it with 0 issues
I have a 2023 1000 overland. I bought brand new 16 months ago, had a couple issues with overheating come to find out it had an air bubble in the system. I ended up buying the extended warranty (thank god I did) due to a gut feeling I was going to need it and I did. It keeps burning the main auxiliary relay and causing it to shut off and not start back up, it will turn over but wont start and has left me a few miles away from my truck several times. Out of the 16 months of ownership it has been in the shop waiting on parts or waiting to be worked on for 160 days or 23 weeks or almost 6 months, oh yea it only has 11.6 hours and 123 miles on it. It literally has more hours sitting in the shop than actual engine running time and is currently in the shop now for the same problem. Other than that it is a great machine when it is running
I have owned 2 cfmotos now one a cforce 800xc and the one I have now is a zforce 950 ho ex, and so far I didn’t run into any issues with both just regular maintenance, also probably cause I don’t always go full send into the mud and neglect it like lots of people do and then it breaks and they say “ these things are junk” as a 310t mechanic that’s been in trade for almost 10 years I can say biggest part of having equipment last long is good maintenance
Glad to hear yours have treated you well. Obviously you can tell this one has been neglected just by looking at it.
@ yeah , but not everyone is going to get a good bike unfortunately it’s quantity over quality nowadays even in the name brand bikes , for the price and what you get with these machines is a good deal, and cfmoto has been getting better with the fit and finish with there products, I see allot more cfmoto and Segway SxS and atv’s on the trails
I agree, quality has gone down across all brands unfortunately. That’s why now a days i can’t justify spending that kind of money on any of the machines. I’ll stick with used ones.
I would also agree with the popularity of these machines I’ve got a couple buddies with them but as always solenoid problems and issues with the headlights but no motor issues so far 😁👌
The prices on new ATV's, snowmobiles, SXS's etc. are insane. I bought a brand new, Honda 4×4 TRX 350 in 86. It cost me $3,500. Out the door. Nicely equipped & even had racks. Yeah, I'm cheap, but can't see where they've changed a lot throughout the years. To justify the massive price increase. One of those, today, will still outlast what's being made today.
I agree, and thats why I've looked at the CF Motos. But also, $3500 in 1986 is equivalent to just over $10,000 today, which would buy a loaded 400-500 class Japanese (auto, 4x4, irs, eps, front locker sometimes) or even a basic 700 class.
@@TheNotimprezed Well equivalent in inflation not pay!!
@@a.c.m.e.ink.4568 100%!
3,5 k in 1986 is around 9,5 k now due to inflation
I just plugged the numbers into the BLS inflation calculator, and it says $3,500 is $7,200 in Oct of 2024. $7,200 will buy you a nice quad when they are 1-2k discounted at the end of the year.
I've used solenoids from orielys made for cars and trucks, and they work fine. Ive ised one off and old tractor on a atv as well.
Well all brands have problems, Actually ive seen more problems with polaris 570's lately than cf force, I was skeptical at first but they're actually hold up pretty good
Wel Polaris is the worst for reliability. I rather have a Segway lol
The older I get the more I love my Japanese machines. Problem free for many years when treated properly
Cant beat the big 4 Japanese manufacturers man! Love my Honda Rincon
@@Ajaxaxxess if you haven’t, you need to watch the dirt trax episode with the guy from Quebec with over 100k on his Rincon
@@northerntoyota7584Im happy with 9500 on mine, lol. 100k is insane
Can't wait for some snowmobile videos!
Should be coming pretty soon.
What people tend to forget about when it comes to products like the iPhone is, while made in China, Apple controls the mfg specifications of how it is built. They choose the materials, the standards and control the OQE that go into their production units. Nobody is saying that EVERYTHING made in China is bad, but when you have a Chinese company that is deciding on the materials/standards/quality/etc and they are building on the cheap, that is when you have issues.
I never listen to opinions from vidoes or even comments in the chat about how their cfmoto is trouble free.....bc I feel that everyone is biased to a degree. The true test is going to forums and seeing what the majority of threads are based around. Every cfmoto forum I look through is inundated with people having problems/issues. I'd say at least 9 out of 10 posts are like that.
Its the same with polaris and can am
It would be advantageous for everyone to have an approach when buying to avoid supporting China at all, just on the principle of which economic system that it benefits. Some things are worth more than saving a few dollars.
I bought a GPX 300 2-stroke and so far I'm happy with it. Not much electronics on it... still has a carb...got it 2k off from factory at the dealer, no set up, no freight ect...
Bought it from mechanical innovations in wannaska mn
I wife has cforce500. Bad battery was doing the same as that machine. Changed battery no issues after that.
Mine runs good. Starts great.
Glad to hear that!
Great info. Helped me out a lot. Thanks!
Thanks! Glad you found it helpful.
Got 2022 cforce 600 no issues Also have 2022 cforce 800xc no issues plenty of power.. 😊😊
Looks like a permanent transition to the 2 wire starter relay would be a huge improvement
Try the plug that goes to the solenoid mine was fried had to replace runs great now
Yeah I know people with cf motos that are just a couple of years old. One ripped of the trailer hitch from the frame just by normal use! Just look at the fram and a-arms etc compared to other brands. And as you said, alot of electrical issues. The newer ones are alot better i have heard but the price gap is also alot smaller compared to can am /polaris . I have a 2016 can am outlander 1000 with 600 hours on it and i have not even changed the battery yet 💪 greets from a snowy sweden
I’ve never had any good luck on honda Chinese CDIs I had one that someone else had previous put on but it was basically new and it dang near burned the whole thing down but when working on a cf moto u might as well use them since there’s no difference lol love the videos keep up the good work
Have a 2021 CFORCE 500 has been in the shop more than it has been rode - they have changed ignition switch twice handle bar switch twice and they claimed they have done other changes ECM Replaced. I still have trouble getting the fuel pump to kick in - If you do not hear the fuel pump prime up it is not going to crank. Also watch the temperature gauge very close the relay for the fan will not kick in and it will run hot quick. I guess I just got a lemon.
I have a 2021 and never have a problem and go hard on this bike but I never put the quad under water is most dirk and sand riding
Loved the video 📹
Its funny how people knock Chinese parts.. as if virtually everything they own isnt also made in china. Even your american made cars and motorcycles are loaded with Chinese components.. mainly electronics. Weird..
My 2022 600 has 3900 miles and 206 hours on it now. I had to change the swingarm bushings snd nothing else yet. My model already had way better clutching than previous ones luckily.
7800 Eur out the door. Similar yamaha is 14 000 for streetlegal one though.
That’s great to hear that yours is treating you well! Obviously by the caked on mud of this one, I’m sure the owner doesn’t take care of it as much as he should.
@@rockspowersports i think so too! I maintain it myself and also keep it clean.
Btw the gear grinding is "normal" on these, need adjustment. But mine has never done it again after about 1000 miles, i was careful with it too.
That is why we have stuck with Honda since the 300! Had a Yamaha big bear too!
Every manufacture charges delivery ect. Get an out the door price on a comparable model and the massive price difference will be there. We just bought a 2024 Uforce 600 brand new from Main street cycle for $9900 out the door. Local dealership near us wanted like $14K
I like your videos, but why throwing an empty can of oil in the wood after taking it on the quad? It would have been as easy to bring it home and discard it in the trash, properly. And why there is trash everywhere in the woods where you run? It looks like a dump. Appart from that, I like the videos, keep them coming.
The newer cfmoto side by sides have a Bosch computer box I noticed idk if that means the are improving the electrical or not
Great video, Rock. Japanese Only for me. With everything you know and all your experience, it surprises me that you’d consider buying a Chinese machine. Maybe because you are so proficient at working on them. Give me a used Japanese bike any and every time. Love the content. Love when you take the victory loop/lap. Peace
Thanks i appreciate that. Honestly the only reason i was in the market for the 400 was because it was cheap and I wanted to give it a good beating and see how it held up. So much for the “cheap price”
And I totally appreciate that you’d do that and give your honest opinions. Thoroughly dig the Chanel for this very reason.
I am ashamed to say it, but I will, Honda, Yamaha, and Suzuki are much more dependable than Polaris, Can am. Cf moto is not even an option.
@ agreed 💯!
Listen for the injector pump before cranking it over occasionally on my 520 it doesn’t fire up think it’s fuel pump relay but not often, my 625 and side by side have 0 issues in three years
The first thing you do when you buy a CF moto is put a clutch kit in right away and upgrade your brakes. No surprise that there’s a delay in the clutch right now. They tuned like that from factory.
I an considering getting rid of those miniature relays and rewire with standard Heavy Duty Automotive Relays - also sometimes the Headlight Switch Contacts - have to keep working them to make contact. Like you said the Electrical is a pain.
You got to love it!
I paid over 10 thousand for the same machine and same color. Awesome dependable machine. No problems so far but only 400 miles in 2 years. I deeply regret paying 10 grand for this machine. I think it’s rediculous as well.
Honda, and Yamaha should have reasonable quality electrical components, as their suppliers are usually from other Japanese companies. I’m not aware of too many electrical issues with Honda, or Yamaha. Over time starters, power steering motors, electric shift motors, and in some cases electronic fuel pumps can go bad, but for the most part they fare pretty well.
I have 3 hondas and 2 yamahas. The problem with the yamahas in the assembled in USA part. Sadly on my '20 wolverine x2 the roof was installed backwards (no joke), the drivers seatbelt was installed flipped over, one bolt on the skid plate had a broken head and one was stripped. My '23 grizzly has the alignment off. Not to impressed by my fellow american craftsmanship. My 2020 honda rubicon had the dct problem that took them a year to figure out which was 95% resolved with a software update. Overall I would pick the grizzly over my rubicon. Once gone through the bikes have been reliable and I would still pick them over the competition.
@ Yeah the DCT programing had to be revised due to overheating issues. I have heard things like that about Yamaha before, like with the handlebars. I’ve never really noticed any issues like that with Hondas, their manufacturing process is pretty good. I know the model I have has been out since 2014, but it’s a proven platform, and some of it in the model before that. I’ve looked it over pretty good, checking the bolts, frame components, etc. It’s put together well.
I had a 2019 Zforce 800 I can confirm it's true starter solenoid and the key switch were always bad it was covered with a tarp as well you needed to keep turning the key on and off for the starter to engage. And then injectors went bad then replaced em then sold It
Been seeing alot of these on the trails in Georgia.
They are really nice looking machines and the price's are great which tells me if it's too good to be true.....
Don't matter the price if they don't run no fun. Maintenance a must
I would have left the yamaha solenoid on, and just fused the ignition/acc side with same 40A fuse, and left it like that. Safe and reliable solution there.
Was your solenoid replacement an oem cfmoto or an amazon part? Not sure if it would matter much?
I have 2 of these 600 CFmoto's and my problem is cheap batteries, the battery post are junk and too soft. I have less than 100 mile on both and have had to replace the batteries.
I don’t disagree with the quality issues you point out, but every Japanese brand is using all Chinese made electronic parts also.
Your right. BUT whatever is used MUST meet the manufacturers standards.
China has many levels of quality.
Hey rock powersports have you tried using a riding mower solenoid those are generally pretty good quality
may have to do some modifying because they generally ground through the mounting hardware
Cfmoto you need to replace all fuses and relays for better ones and dialectic grease all plugs and connectors. Did that day one on our race bike never a issue
I bought a 2022 800xc and it won’t start half the time wish I would’ve just bought another Honda this cfmoto has been nothing but problems but when it works it’s a real power house
I have the same bike but 1 seater it's a 2021 I've not really had too many problems with it With over 3000 miles now. The winch solenoid had to be replaced and a bolt came lose in the rear pinyin. Easy fix both times. But I do wish I bought a Yamaha 700 that's what I was going to get.
Lol, i was looking at the Yamaha 700 too. But almost double the price...
With all the cf moto issues I made the great choice of buying an polaris 500 h.o 2008 instead of buying Chinese junk😀
Hey rock's I'm looking for some 12 inch aluminum wheels for a yamaha grizzly 700. You got any?
I do not trust used ATV in my area the put snorkel kits on them and see just how deep down in the mud they can bury one - Muddy Bottoms ATV Park is about half mile from where I live. People have more money than brains - spend thousands of dollars just to go out and destroy a new ride.
I paid out the door $16000 for 2 new 600 cc They rake you through the coals on all the setup and shipping extras. Mine is the single 600 I could not find any touring addition for a year while looking. I think mine are 2021 3yrs old.
To be.
Honest, I've owned a lot of 4 wheelers. And I don't find them any better or any worse. Then most new brands No nothing compares to the older four wheelers that did last forever
It's funny that you got it running with a yammy part because I was thinking listening to it it sounds like a grizzly😂
I'd be happy with the job you did, at least I'd know it would last. No way would I replace it with OEM.
It’s pretty tough to buy anything that isn’t made in China these days…. However, I will continue to support my American brothers and sisters by buying Polaris..
Polaris, a Chinese machine that’s assembled in the USA..
@ that is totally not true
I like the Polaris 4x4 all 4 tires lock anytime in 4x4 all the time
Most issues with anything, American or imports, is simply solved. The biggest problem with any machinery is not the machines. ITS THE LAZY PARENTS THAT WONT EVEN ATTEMPT TO DO ANYTHING, YET TELL THEIR CHILDREN THAT LACK OF EFFORT IS A PROBLEM. YES PEOPLE, THE BIGGEST PROBLEM OF EVERYTHING, IS F--KED UP PARENTS, THAT ARE MORE LAZY THAN THEIR CHILDREN. YET THEY TELL THEIR CHILDREN, " YOU DESERVE THE CONSEQUENCES OF YOUR ACTIONS ". CANT MAKE THIS SHIT UP FOLKS. THIS GUY JUST SOLVED THE EASIEST PROBLEM EVER. YET ACTS LIKE HE DID SOMETHING SPECIAL!!!
I just want a new aircooled, lightweight 4x4 with a backup recoil start!
My co-worker bought his nephews a brand new Chinese four wheeler and he said that thing did not start worth a damn from the factory. They put such junkie Chinese carburetors on them
most people don't wash their machines. That one is actually pretty clean compared to mine. Most machines I see that are super clean are pavement princesses or never used
Had alot of issues with the starter solenoids on my 14 yamaha grizzly 450. I have prolly replaced it 5 times now over the years i have owned it since brand new. Replaced it this summer again with a new starter, the original starter went out finally. Now i will say it wasnt an oem solenoid so thats prolly the issue. Just ebay specials.
I’ve never had good luck with those cheap eBay ones unfortunately. I get it though, you can buy 5 or 6 cheap ones compared to the $112 OEM solenoid.
My friend likes his !! But getting parts can be an issue !! He was down half a summer waiting on parts
Around me all dealers charge the shipping crating, assemble fees to all units. In the showroom or ordered. I’ve got a new uforce and new sportsman high lifter
I had more problems with my Polaris ,you just had bad luck, mybcf moto 0 issues not to mention I saved thousands
There’s always going to be a few lemons out there. Glad you have had good luck with your CF moto.
Hey Rock my dads cforce 600 will crank but not start and we smell fuel .any ideas what we should look at , is it possible it’s flooded
I love your channel and I think you’re a great mechanic but it seems like everybody that brings a machine to you. They bring you a really dirty machine like the machine above only has 50 hours but it looks like it’s 10 years old I think most of the problems is that people don’t take care of their machines. I think if these machines were kept inside and kept clean, you’d have a lot less business.
You just gotta make sure you feel it go intol ow gear. You have to go all the way up with it.
CF Moto are junk especially the older ones. My 2014 C-Force 800 has been nothing but trouble ever since I bought it. Ya it has really good power but ever since I put 2000 miles on it it's been broken in 1 way or another. Changed Starter solenoid at just over 2000 miles. 2,400 miles I had to put a new water pump and drive belt on it. Ignition switch replaced rite at 2,650, radiator fan replaced rite around 2,800 miles. Starter replaced at 3.255 miles. It currently has 3,386 miles on it and the front wheel bearings are going out.
All my local dealers make u pay for shipping here in nova scotia too. i think its 499 or 599 flat rate if i remember right. All brands do this unless its a used machine in my area anyways
I hope all the other details on those machines are a little better than that Chinese fuse.
You should have used the new solenoid and put the old fused section on the new one.
I agree.... I've heard the electrical is bad on these, gotta dielectric grease everything once ya get it.
Theres alot of parts on a quad, and it might look good from afar, but the cheap parts reflect in the price. It comes with nice rims, winch, nice guage, fake piggy back shocks, bumpers etc etc. But if ya gotta keep fixing stuff and having breakdowns than its all worthless.
I noticed the plastics are super thin and bendy compared to other brands.
And the resale is bad.... it might be cheaper initially, but after 3 years, the guy that paid more for the can am or yamaha or honda will get most their money back, where the CFmoto will need to be given away.
Die electric grease is actually a bad conductor for electrical componets. It's intended to keep the rubber in connectors from sticking.
What can keep moisture out will also keep moisture in.
They fixed the clutching on the new ones.
That’s good to hear, haven’t drove any of the newer style ones yet.
@rockspowersports I drove the 2024 Overland 1000. Great machine. I have hear alot of great reviews on these. But I ride a 2023 Sportsman xp1000 with ride command and a 2023 Arctic Cat Alterra 600 limited.
Yup. Mine is smooth too luckily, i asked for the newer model when i bought mine for that reason actually.
32:32 that’s the most annoying thing ever, CF’s are having this problem even if it’s a new unit, I can’t figure it out, what it’s causing that and how to solve it
Im buy atv 800cc year 2020 never have problems and im still driver good so is work for me the pracie is good
If this was a Polaris it would need a full engine rebuild. Polaris is junk, i have a 2022 cforce 600 and so far no issues.
My buddy gets tired of fan fuse blown on his 2022 cfmoto 600 seems like happens as he go fast through water, now he doesn’t use fuse anymore, he using the one that reset itself thing not know what it’s called . Now he’s happy camper!!! Tie rods bolts mess up thinking factory didn’t tight enough. One a arm bent and thrown him off broke his ribs and dislocated shoulder after he gas that thing while in right turn!!!! He still thinks it’s a great buy though haha!!!
Sadly no matter what you pay for any vehicle as soon as it leaves the lot your upside down
New Atvs in todays market are gonna run you easily 10 grand on something really decent with some bells and whistles plus another 500-1000 from the dealership cost and then tax and reg your almost a used car out the door lol
That’s why I’ll stick to the used machines!
I’m happy with my 23 800 atv
Talk shit about atv someone else owned and abused neglected! It’s damn switch…
