Rescue 50 Ride Along to Lancaster City Box (Screaming Q!)

- Опубліковано 18 гру 2019
- Rescue 50 responded along with Truck 204 on the Working Fire Dispatch assisting Lancaster City Station 64 with RIT. Shortly before arrival command requested the second alarm for more manpower, thus Truck 204 put their crew to work, half of our crew took over the RIT position, and the other half went to work removing windows and pulling ceiling inside. @@Fire-Rescue50 why do they locate a fire station on a one way road
@@jayasmrmore3687 It was originally a 2 way street. Now it's a one way.
@@jaredthompson3011 why
That Federal Q is just magical....
YEH....but does it put out the fire?!?!
@@douggriffin2910 you don't got to be sarcastic about it cuz not every city department for that matter not all departments have trucks with Q sirens
Agreed
Yesss I was waiting for this comment
They’ll never know but I’m proud of all the ppl in this video for actually moving over.
Pennsylvania is really strict about the pull over law when emergency vehicles are coming
Nobody does it tho. Im a firefighter over here in PA, you gotta scream the Q right next to them
Respect to all volunteer firefighters! My brother served in rural NC for about 10 years after he retired from truck driving.
Thank you for all you do.
Where in NC? I'm Alexander County
My department has just placed the order today for our new 2020 pierce arrow XT HEAVY RESCUE
Hell yeah! Love those city runs!

My departments new engine is gonna have train horns.
The county medics were I'm from have them. You can hear them across town.
A city near me, their rescue has train horns too
Nvm… they sold it :(
What is a ram ambulance?
@@lanceestep3722 Ram is a US truck maker, so fire departments like to use the Ram chassis to make ambos (ambulances) hence the name Ram Ambulance
Drive fast, take chances!
Awesome! I really enjoy the videos you make. Nothing like a Q and powercall. Although I wish I could record video ride alongs of my department. Have a Merry Christmas from Lehigh County!
i love the Screaming Q, ugh lol ❤ good video

I was wondering why it looked so Familiar and its because it's from Lancaster lol.
Can we make this fast I gotta babysit at 2 🤣🤣🤣
For all who was wondering when he said “let’s make this fast I gotta babysit at 2” the time stamp is 1:14
I got Q siren on my phone ringtone. I deaf can't hear with others kind of ringtone so, loudest Q are made Samsung JV7 Android.
I spotted an old firehouse on the left side when u went rolling by
The city really needs to use the Opticom system on all lights within the city so you can get there faster and safer as well. Just saying from watching the videos and it avoids having to stop at every red light to clear the intersection and yes I know it's defensive driving which is a good thing.
Emergency vehicles to not have a right to run a red light, they have the liberty. Difference being that you as a driver are officially not obligated to give right to an emergency vehicle. That is why all emergency vehicles always have to slow down at crossings to make sure they get right of way. That said, drivers that don't give right of way to emergency vehicles are complete morons whose breathing privileges should be revoked.
Opticom can certainly make it easier to clear intersections, but even then emergency vehicles have to slow down. Someone can run a red light and you don't want that an emergency vehicle get into an accident..
But maybe they can start placing a traffic light at the stations, because in pretty much every video you see cars just zooming by and not stopping when a truck leaves the station...
It coast hundreds of thousands to put them all over the city
upvote those rotating lights on sight....
Do you know what radio console your dispatch uses?
What is the chrome tri-ball spinning object attached to the front of the fire truck?
It's a roto-ray. It has steady burn lights which are obviously spinning, they are angled too, to catch attention at slight angles instead of dead ahead.
I wish the ppl in my town are this smart. Like i mean its not that hard all you gotta do is MOVE OVER.
I have a question what's the screaming Q which siren is that the electronic siren or the mechanical siren?
Mechanical. It's the one that sounds like an air raid alarm
Mechanical. Sounds like an air raid siren
That’s the fire station in Willow Street PA
I'm called the screaming Q for a reason
lol
What kind of air horns do Rescue 50 have?
Sounds like grover 1510's I might be wrong but thats what it sounds like to me

Ethan McDowell what is that abomination? i’d prefer grovers.
@@ethanmcdowell9677 nah man grovers are just fine in my opinion. I dont think train horns belong of fire trucks honestly
Yeah fire trucks should have grovers and such ambulances should have train horns and bull horns.
The screaming Q: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Don’t break the Q now 😂😂
What's the siren going at 1:20 besides the q?
Powercall
Feirstein Brand Powercall to be exact. Sounds like a DX5200
Powercall
Powercall DX5.
5:45 on the left, is that an active fire station?
How can I do a ride along with y'all? Great video and response keep up the awesome work!
what is that spinning infront of the truck ?
Forbidden fidget spinner.
what the hell is under that bonnet (sorry me english lol, ) hood
If you're talking about the spinning thing, its called a Roto Ray. Basically it's a light that spins.
I wonder why Roto-Ray lights in front of the fire truck is so rare on fire trucks?
There just more expensive junk that really don't do that much.
At my department we have a roto ray on our tower ladder
I'd say they require a lot of maintenance for rotating that much and also wear out even with maintenance, it does not look as a very light piece of equipment, so there are stresses on bearings or whatever the mechanism is that makes it rotate as freely as possible pretty much any time.
Nothing like sound q siren 3am
RIT OVERHAUL TEAMS NO TOOLS
Are you guy's volunteer or paid??
I believe they're a mixed Department next Apartments basically they have a mix-up you know paid. And volunteers
1:41 (and same situation later on in the video) after watching so many videos from the USA this is probably the first where the fire truck made the simple decission to simply pass the vehicle on the right, instead of slowing down or maybe even stopping right behind it and forcing it to move to the right. Very nice done!
Not a fan of the constant siren usage though, but I'm aware that laws and regulations in the state and department vary from what I'm used to as I'm German
Police and ambulances in the Netherlands tend to shut off their siren at particular parts of their journey, but the fire department in The Netherlands tends to keep them on absolutely allways, which is sort of ehm, fun, because when it's 3AM and police and ambulance show up somewhere they usually arrive reasonably silent, you hear the siren stopping "somewhere close" and that's it. Couple of minutes later it's like "LET'S WAKE UP THE WHOLE NEIGHBOURHOOD!!!!" :P
how fast do you think the Fire Truck was going?
Over taking traffic on the right is an accident waiting to happen and the leading reason that idiots don't know what to do upon approach of emergency vehicles.
yeah i was fucking clenching when he was doing that
That was reckless driving passing on the right and the speed seemed excessive. Retired 30 years Captain. 👍🏼 I would not have allowed that.
@@Rickenbacker954 Actually I was happy to FINALLY see a department doing that in the USA. Instead of slowing down and even stopping right behind vehicles which have moved out of the way to the left, he simply took the empty right lane which was fast and safe. Doesn't seem like a once only decission but common practise for them.
Ya this driving was a good example of what NOT to do. I hope everyone seen the amount of mistakes made in this video, and training officers, please use this as your way of "mailing it on".
Have you watch more of their videos.... there is a lot of recklessness.
Why did y'all go there?
working fire, sounded like they are RIT
The video has a description box for a reason
because they were called?
6:07
Cycle that Q.
thats bad news passing on the right
What is the spinning thing?
So The Question Of the day is... Did he make it in time to Babysit??
J
You might get this alot but why do you say ride along aren't you a member
Chris Jowers it’s a ride along for us, he’s a fully interior certified firefighter at station 50.
