RIP Richard Bouder. He was my brothers Coworker and a inspector for UGI. Great guy. He ran inside to make sure no one else was in the building.

I live n Kenosha, Wisconsin and we had a house explode (gas explosion) a few years ago. No one died as the house was vacant. It was big news as Milwaukee, WI news stations covered the explosion. I have full respect for LEO's and FF and Rescue. Keep it up.
Jonathan Baker Thank you!
K-town represent!
Thanks for keeping us safe ❤❤❤❤❤
love the sound of that Q horn screaming. gives a big wake up call to drivers saying "get out the way! im coming through!"
while i love watching videos like these its is sad , especially in this case, that these response videos means something is in an emergency and so its like a double edge sword. I feel sorry for the family of that worker.
I remember when this happened. The house was just turned into splinters. Very sad about the casualty
Co-Driver sounds like he wanted to drive.
"So again, you know which way you're going? "
That has the sound of someone has gotten lost before lol
Lol yep when I was in the fire academy they always told us you never leave the station unless you absolutely know where you are going
Well at least they made it I thought they were just going to end up in California or something
Nicholas Diehl *Goes from PA to CA*
Damn it, not again...
Yeah the last thing you wanna hear back from him is “yeah... kinda...”
Another great ride! The camera gives a great perspective! My Prayers for the family of the man killed. Stay safe guys!
Me and my beautiful wife just bought our very first home together in a better rural community and I'm coming out of retirement from the fire service and joining the awesome professional volunteer fire department in our new community I have 10 years of expierance and I miss it I got to get back out there with my brothers on the thin red line and do what I love doing saving lives and helping my community I can't wait till I break it in with the first response on that fire department they are a bunch of awesome guys and girls that I'm looking forward to working with and risking my life with
Keep them safe out there your service is deeply appreciated thanks take care best wishes to everyone who responds keep up the good work. Joe
Officer of Rescue 905 puts Rescue 6-5 en route at one point! Shoutout to the old numbers. Also shoutout to Squad 66-2 for pulling over for yous.
Wow you guys cover a lot of territory! No better combination than the Q and the Powercall! Can't stop watching your videos
moneylab Thank you
Great video with great siren work and I loved the teamwork with directions!
Cashcrop54 Thank you!
I actually worked in the same development on a job with Miller pipeline just this past summer and went to where the house was.
We had a motel 6 blow up in my town a couple years ago. Few firefighters were hurt from being blown back ( they were on scene for the gas leak minor injuries ) a cascade natural gas worker was severely injured. Luckily the office lady had evacuated all the rooms so nobody else were hurt.
I remember that
Excellent video, love the response and screaming q.
- CalFire Firefighter 1 -
RIP the worker.
Watching this and another video my dog started howling with the q
LOL my 1st dog used to do the same thing when she'd hear the sirens. God bless her little soul. She passed away a couple year's back.
Great driving
LOVE that RotoRay!
What was amazing was how they got out of those doors.
Beautiful day for a hi-speed response.
Screaning Q Horn with that great PowerCall
Those sirens rock !
NICE!!! I wasn't home or I would've gotten engine 53-1 responding.
Conestoga Fire 53 Thanks
I didn't have a ride or I'd have been there too. Great video though.
Lancaster Responding Haha, thank you
Rescue 51-4 checking in from S.A. TX so sorry to hear about the one fatality we always fear that sort of thing
Awesome!
California Emergency Buff109 Thank you
Love hearing the pc
Remember seeing this on 6abc news
Went on one of these several years ago..........family of 5, found 1 about 80 yards away, just parts from the rest. 😞 basement full of splinters was all that was left
The MARS lights have this effect that's akin to a zoetrope, honestly.
I love you
Ya'll got any go-pros. Would love to see you in action.
Love your videos it’s been a while since you posted Hope all you guys are staying safe and are doing well
Can't go wrong with a nice Q at its highest. But not a fan of the powercall. Go get em brothers!
Total agreement! I can't behind the powercall like yourself, I couldn't tell you why. A couple of the rescue squads here in Virginia Beach have them, drives me nuts! lol
Doing it's job then, getting attention. It'll make ya turn your head if oyu hate the sound of it there eh?
That was a terrible call. I'm glad no one else was hurt. Nice video though man, keep it up:D
Where i live somethign like this happend and everybody in the house died. There was a mom, and her 3 kids in there. The dad was at work i belive. Its trgic man
Damn, i cant even imagine that. Your just at work and get a call that your whole family and home are just gone.
Wow I love it, watching this is like riding shotgun!!
hope everyone was ok
I miss being a firefighter. this gets my heart beating as much as it did in real life. where are you from?
top gun Lancaster PA
YAY Lancaster PA! Spring Grove here, so sorry to hear of this news. Prayers to the family for the death of the UGI worker. SO very sad !
FireRescue 50 did u guys come out to that West Chester retirement home fire?
now this is what you call a screaming Q
random ghost amen to that screaming Q, brother!
The video is awesome but most people don't understand the amount of work it takes to run a 40+ tone truck at speed without crashing into other cars let alone flipping it on its side because you misjudged a turn
I wonder what a gas leak is, once the poor thing was upgraded to a dwelling.....
Collateralcoffee It's a house that blew up...
Crazy
How do you do your indentifers in Lancaster county? I run with Central Berks Fire co. from Berks county, and I can never understand your identifiers.
Was the house on another block because there is no visible smoke or damage to any homes when you rolled up.
dcentral Yes it was. You can't really see the smoke, but we could definitely smell it rolling up
How many mile trip was this , it's a awfully long run.
10:38 Just curious, what did someone say at this time stamp, sounded something like brakes?? Great Vid & response guys.
Bill Blast I was wondering that myself, lol. Thank you
It sounded like "quit slamming the brakes" or "quit saving the brakes"....either way, it was a hot response to a confirmed house explosion with known work, so maybe the driver was shittin & gettin, which is completely understanding or if he was saying quit saving the brakes & he wanted the driver to get moving a little faster.
Either way it was a completely safe response & yet speedy from the station to the scene, well atleast in my eyes it was but hell I'm a nobody, lol. Thanks for the fast reply, Stay Safe up there guys.
Bill Blast Your a nobody in comparison to this video, but you're somebody in real life.
What is that spinning thing on the left corner?
Pahvilaatikko13 Roto Ray
Good God. I thought they were going to a different state
Damn this is a long run.
I agree how far did they respond? From my perspective I'm guessing twenty miles.
I hope they weren't first due!
Damn they were all over the driver... Lol
Where was this? I vaguely heard this on the news
SPaoline4302 Lancaster county PA. Manor township
Wonder does Rescue 50 from Lancaster, Pa?
they are
Where is station 50 located at
Lancaster PA
I saw at least one hydrant only a block from that engine. Why hook up so far away?
Close by hydrants were damaged by the explosion
how many people respond with u on that truck
MJ Baker Today, 7. The rescue holds 10 people
Is there a minimum before you can response to a call?
Did that hydrant 100 feet away not work? Why did they lay in every inch of 5 inch they had? Serious question.
The hydrant was damaged in the explosion
Gotcha, thanks. I thought there was a good reason
Where's that at, looks like in Pennsylvania?!
John Grimm Yes, Lancaster county PA
What state is this ?
Tom H PA, Lancaster County
Thanks nice looking area.
and also how many runs do yall go on a day?
MJ Baker We average 500 a year. We can have 2 calls everyday, or go a week with nothing and run 7 over the weekend, it all depends.
FireRescue 50 thank u and good to know
FireRescue 50 wow 500 a year thats gotta suck but looks like you guys are mostly a rural area... For comparison Columbus Ohio averages 500 runs a day
As we all know, some stations/departments have various amounts of calls, some slower than others. Kentland VFD is one of the busiest all vol fire stations in the US, they have not missed a single call in over 10 years & was the busiest station a few years ago, they have a engine, tower, squad/rescue engine & a mini pumper(Dodge 3500). They avg approx 500 calls a month, just under 20 calls a day & in May they hit almost 1000 calls. In 2016 they hit almost 5600 calls. I believe the most important things are, when that pager, cell phone or siren screams.......there is someone there to answer the call & they are well trained to do the job because sooner or later, it will scream. Kentland does there calls everyday & still do company training everyday on top of all there other duties. Even though Willow Street might not have tons of calls a day, they still receive important emergency life threatening calls that need to be answered by trained professional educated firefighters, rescue techs or whatever the call requires just as this video showed, that house explosion made the news throughout the country & station 50 responded with there equipment & crew ready to put in work.
FYI.....There entire county(Lancaster County, Pa) did almost 14,000 calls for 2016, that not terribly bad.
the suburbs seem to hate sidewalks and fire hydrants, thats a damn long hose.
That's a lot of LDH...
Shaine. I was thinking the same thing I could see another hydrant on the corner of the block. They didn’t have to lay that much unless the closer hydrant wasn’t working.
Regarding this FD. I have seen previous calls. Has anyone noticed how far they have to travel and how long it takes to get to the scene??
Isn’t there a station closer?
The response time goes on forever.
Why was the other rescue staged so far back from the house ? Strange that the 2nd in rescue went on up past them
MN DEW I think he wanted to stay out of the way. Right after we parked, he moved up right behind us
~oz~
Screaming q for days
To me. Full sirens should be going at ALL Times
Zx
They didn’t show thy explosion sad I wanted to see it.
Thank you kindly.
Looks like the first due engine company doesnt know hydrant locations very well cause there is one about 100-150ft away from the house. Instead you have roughly 500-700ft of 5in supply line to repack.
Brandon Brunot Well when a house explodes, do you think that might affect the closer hydrates?
I heard on the radio in route that that hydrant was out of order listen more please
I never saw any explosion!! Or any fire
Wouldnt want to live here takes Rescue 50 about 45 mins to over an hour to get to calls
Yes, because a 12 minute video is the equivalent to "over an hour"
Why is this a thing? Who wants to see a ride TO something? TO anything for that matter?
Looks like about 57 thousand people to me
Uuuuh 11:28 NRA alert: Guy with a HUGEass flag on his truck.
Collateralcoffee Sounds like my type of friend right there
First!!!!
Is this all you can show? Is a drive in the country side?? I'm not interested in the journey to the scene. I would rather watch you men at the scene doing your job. If I wanted 12:24 minutes of driving , I would do it myself.
Brenda L I can only video as far up as the truck parks. I tape the scene when I can, some of my videos have more scene action, but we could only park so close.
I guess I have been accumulated in watching third party videos. Sorry in assuming that your videos would be the same. Keep up the good work you do, in your job.
Brenda L No problem at all. As a viewer I'd definitely like to see the scene too, but when you're not first due, it can be difficult. Thank you!
Read the title dumbass. It says it’s a “Ride Along.” Meaning you watch them drive.
Brenda L then don’t watch it..... it’s titled a ride along to a building explosion for a reason....
