Unfortunately many many departments are against it, I started but mutual aid departments bitched about being in video... its not like all of the general public can't see what we do already in this day and age with cell phones, its a great learning experience too, especially for small volunteer departments who don't run high nature calls each day. Post incident review with video is a great tool if used appropriately but people are scared of the back lash or negativity that exists with social media

Last week in Michigan, I was within walking distance of a fire that happened in a pole barn. I'm thankful no one was hurt, but the pole barn is totalled. About a dozen fire trucks arrived and battled the blaze. Thankfully, the fire was put out. Seeing you guys respond to an emergency, especially when the fog rolled in, is dedication to the public. Thank you for the service!

What I'm most impressed with was how you didn't dump the Great Lakes onto the house, considering that's how they do things where I'm from. A little garage fire would have destroyed everything in the house just from water-damage.

Super cool to see- helmet cam was a tiny bit disorienting at times, I think a bodycan might be better if it wouldn't get in the way obviously!
Fustrating to see how almost nobody gets out of the way of emergency vehicles properly anymore. I wish we could have cameras like this on ambulances and fire trucks and be able to go back and pick out all the license plates and give them citations and fines.

where is this? almost looks like fall/ early winter. Man wish california had this kind of weather we could use all the water and moisture / precipitation possible . Any way, respectfully this appears to be a hoarder house. Let me say this, IF you cannot safely, cleanly -meaning stacked etc, you do not need it. Get rid of that junk that you tell yourself year after year you may need it some day, no, you do not need it. All of that clutter is fire fuel.

Looks like southeast PA. Normally up in NEPA we get pleasantly wet springs, but this year has been brutal so far with little rain and the heatwave that came through last week. Description says this was filmed in March so it could have been anywhere between frigid winter and late spring temps, pretty typical for PA. Pretty sure up our way we had a blizzard in May years ago, and the last couple years it's been 60 through late December.

It's not the first time I ran into a tree or some bushes, but I am a safe driver now & glad you wasn't there to see me drive and watching the driver instructor holding on for dear life & screaming out loud that he's gonna die!! I passed the drivers test and got my drivers license and telling me that he feels sorry for the other drivers that are out there!!.... I wonder why he was thinking of that? 🤔

In America you can work with a full beard under respiratory protection?, in Germany we have to shave for respiratory protection, because otherwise too much oxygen will flow out of the mask.
Do you have to have the breathing protection bottle on permanently or can you also take it off to be able to work better? With us, the breathing protection bottle is only left on when we have to go into the smoke and we are allowed to remove it when the smoke is gone for post-extinguishing work.

Yes you should be clean shaven with wearing a SCBA according to NFPA guidelines and standards which should be strict by every department in the country, second off yes you should be fully dressed wearing your SCBA breathing and performing duties in all IDLH environments into you preform a co2 reading in all divisions and are ruled safe to operate without SCBA.

Was driving like a bat out hell necessary? It appears that at your arrival the fire is well under control. Do we not know how to communicate from one apparatus to another by some means to tell them to slow their response? I mean the only thing at risk here is the innocent public in the streets and the firefighters on the unit.
I’m not sure what it’s going to take for y’all to understand the liabilities. Just because you get a call does not give you the right to drive balls to the wall.
You had better learn how to justify your response. And whoever the incident commander is had better learn how to tell other responding units that they can go to a non-emergency response. Yes, somebody on the scene has to be the incident commander.
