This is a phenomenal lesson! Stunning that I have been doing yoga for so many years and have never had this level of analysis and teaching on the MOST prevalent pose in yoga. Thinking of DD as a transition station was inspired. 🙏🏽
this idea shifts the entire perspective of the position, truly opening up the position to a limitless potential!
Thank you so much, very precious content!
Thank you soo much for sharing this!!! As someone who picked up yoga through you in the online space I sometimes worry about nuances and principles like this in poses, and for something so foundational like down dog I gained so much through this video. Thank you again for sharing your practice videos, I’ve been following for a long time and feel like my life changed so positively when discovering them. Peace!
peace be with you too 🙏🏼 keep practicing and exploring!
Love the vibes in this video! Thank you for such clear explanation Patrick. 🙏🏻 I did a reel on DD saying that it is not a resting/restorative pose as some teachers refer to it and you just showed why 🤭 🥹🙏🏻
we must remember that it moves!
This was amazing. Looking forward for more contents like this 🌞🌞
thanks for tapping in, more on the way for sure!
Such gold!!!!
thanks for tuning in!
Lots of new information for me here - thanks!
have fun with it!
Love!! Patrick where do you get your pants lol

Wow. I think i haven't been doing a food downward facing dog 🤔 amazing lesson
thanks for tuning into the details of this session!
Since you mentioned that the important thing about down dog is where you go from there- do you have a video on such transitions? I have had tendinitis issues in my left shoulder and the transition from down dog to stepping my left foot forward to go into lunge is awkward at best. All sorts of little contortions to get there which contribute to said should issue and may have een caused it decades earlier in my practice.
in vinyasa yoga you can go to pretty much any position from downward facing dog, it is hard to think of many you wouldn't go to directly from the position. if you are having pain i would recommend lifting your hands up on blocks that way there is more of a clearance window and less leverage being pushed into your painful shoulder. i will make a video soon, but in the meantime i hope this helps!
Miss studying with you and Carling. Hope I will get the opportunity soon again.
would be awesome to have you in the mix sometime ✌🏻

@@patrickbeachyoga thanks Patrick, I started practicing yoga this January and after 2 weeks of doing it with your videos, there no other practice that makes me feel that well!
If I do yoga every morning at 6.30 before going to work is thanks to you.
I have never felt this aware of my own body and this connection with my physical form.
Thank you 🩵
