Great vid. First guy's groundstrokes are super funny- Forehand looks exactly like Richard Gasquet and backhand looks exactly like Benoit Paire! edit: funny not in a bad way just funny how similar they are to the pros mentioned! Bad word choice
I completely agree with you there, I am very surprised with how the 100 played. Usually I stray away from racquets with a larger headsize, but this one if I had to choose one this would definitely be up there. - Richard
I tend to hit a bit lower of center string bed as opposed to slightly highly, which is what Yonex says is where most players hit. So I'm thinking the older model would be best? Have demoed both. Different strings on racquets, so hard to say.
Hi, Great video, I am currently looking to buy a new racquet and I am in between the Vcore 100 2023 and Ezone 100 2022. From a spec point of view they are very similar. What is the main difference between them? Which is better at a recreational level? Which one is more comfortable and forgiving on the arm? Thanks
Hello Andre, Having to choose between the two, I would have to go with the Vcore 100 2023. Especially if you are looking for a racquet this is more forgiving and comfortable. The main difference between the two would be a few things actually, the Ezone is stiffer/firmer feeling upon impact and is geared towards more power, where as the Vcore still has good power but offers more spin and comfort especially with the changed that were done to the latest generation of the Vcore line. - Richard
Higher luanch angle, is good or bad for the slice ? I am playing with VcorePro100 since 3 years, but maybe i need something a bite more powerfull. But i don’t Want loose thé feeling and the control of my slice in backhand and i love cross short angles with my forehand or offensive flat along the line. In serve, I use slice and Kick. Never flat. Better for me stay with VcorePro100 or change for Vcore100 or Vcore98?
Hello Benja, I personally think that a high launch angle on a slice is a bad idea. When I hit mine, I personally want as little net clearance as possible. I think that if you end up going with the vcore 100 2023 it might be a little too much power especially with the updates that they made to this generation. I really do believe that the vcore 98 2023 would be a better option to get a little more power without having to give up too much control and feel. - Richard
The infographic you put up says the swing weight is the same, yet on multiple occasions you refer to the lower swing weight of the 2023 racquet. Which is it?
Hi, great video, and great comparison. Question: I am playing the Ezone 100 now, and some friends suggested I should switch to the Vcore as I am a big fan of hard and heavy forehands. It is difference worth it to switch to another racket. I like my ezone a lot, but even more spin on my forehand woudl also be great. Would i loose some power and depth because of it?
Hello John, Surprisingly I personally enjoyed playing with the Vcore 100 2023 the most. Usually I prefer smaller headsized frames which are heavier and more headlight. But I found that I enjoyed playing with this one the most. - Richard
Hi, which one is better for hard serve returns. when the joker is serving it at 120mph thinking he is pro. and you barely get it, and then it hits off center, twists your racket and the ball doesn't clear the net, and you are stuck looking like a day one beginner? I think the other aspects are not an issue. swing speed would be a second concern too.
Hello Frank, I would have to go with the 2023 model if you are looking to return those serves! With the enlarged hitting area it definitely makes the racquet more forgiving on off centered shots, and you don't feel as much of the vibration. -Richard
Hi There. Great video. For a 4 to 4.5 male player (always looking to improve and grow), what would you recommend where consistency is an overriding goal. I am more of a baseline player but I am comfortable at the net. Vcore 100 or 98? Or would you consider the ezone 98 or 100? Is there really a huge difference between the 100 and 98?
Hello Kent, The difference between a 100/98 sq" racquet is certainly noticeable. Your going to find that the larger head over more power and a more forgiving sweetspot. For some depending on what they are looking for they find that they sometimes end up getting to much power from the racquet that has the larger headsize. IF you are going to be comparing the Ezone and the Vcore The main difference that you will notice would be the stiffness of the racquet. I find that the Ezone does play and feel stiffer than the Vcore certainly most noticeable in the Gen7 versions of both these frames. So i would have to say it depends on if you are looking for more power or control, somethin stiffer or softer feeling upon impact. Once you find that I'm sure the consistency will come with a racquet that feel like an extension of your arm. - Richard
I use the 2018 vcore 100. Lead tape at 3 and 9 as well as 12. Some weight ( not much) in the cap as well as an over grip brings the total weight to 11.8 oz. Slightly head heavy now. Is the 2023 frame more powerful than the 2018?
Hello there, The new Vcore compared with the 2019 Aero I would say its quite different. I felt that I was getting more power from the vcore 2023 and a much softer feel upon impact. I also did find that the 2023 vcore is more forgiving that the 2019 Aero - Richard
Hello Varyiant, That would be tough to say, it really depends what you are looking for in particular. Are you a string breaker, if so how often? Stiff or Soft feel? Muted or lively feeling string? There's a bit to consider when choosing a string that's best for you. If you could give me a bit more information, I could definitely help you out with some suggestions. - Richard
@@RacquetGuys I'm looking for Controlled and spin oriented string or controlled and power string. So far I've used Solinco Hyper G 17 gauge, Tour Bite 16 Gauge, Poly Tour Pro Yellow 16 Gauge. Hello Fred, Comparing these two frames to the Gravity MP. I would have to say that the Vcore 100 2023 felt more stable and was more powerful than the Gravity. The 2021 Vcore from what I experienced had a more solid muted response off the string bed than the gravity. I had also noticed that with the gravity, I wasnt able to hit as heavy of a ball from the baseline. - Richard

The new Vcore 100 is amazing! Unique feeling and a great control. But it plays very good for one handed backhand 🤷🏻♂️… rarely for a 100 😊

Can you compare Ez98 with VCOR100?VCORE98 fit better, but it was heavier than the EZ98, so I gave up
