    Thanks for the review. I ended up getting the VCore 98. I’ve recently got back into tennis last month after about a 5 year break (mostly playing squash the last few years). I absolutely love the VCore. It has quite of bit of power so I really need to focus on my forehand technique to dial in the big hits. I get a lot of spraying past the baseline because my follow through on forehand needs improvement to generate consistent top spin. My serves, slices, volleys, and drop shots feel absolutely amazing with this racquet.

      @ph-tennis  Місяць тому

      It’s a great choice of racket for sure! You can try more of a control string to help control. I like resting sync in it.
      When it comes to generating topspin, follow through is only part of the equation. Check out our video on how to create massive topspin!
      Cheers, Josh

    Very nice review, though now I am again looking try a new frame (will this ever end haha ?)
    In the old 21 model (98) I don't feel the ball as I would like, especially drop and finesse shots.
    Spin is there but bit erratic at times.
    Too muted and overall stiffer frame than I would like it. Serve feels a bit blind, muted feel. Backspins are usually coming out with a higher launch angle than I expected.
    Love it in control department though, and the power/control balance it had. Heavyness of balls and stability against heavy balls also I like.
    I ended up using the ezone 98 with more ease and confidence, though less stable against heavy balls and not very spinny.
    So looks this 23 model is definitely a must try for me because seems to be little closer to ezone's flex parameters without sacrificing any control and spin from 21 model.
    More feeling for the ball on strings, more pocketing, flexier frame is exactly what the 21 model lacks more in my taste.

    Great review! Nice to get each testers perspective as well as comparisons with other similar rackets. I have used last 2 generations of VC98 and loved it. Sometimes I hit a little long so tried the new Ezone 98 '22 and it swung much faster thru the air for me, providing me with more maneuverability, precision and loads of angles. However, the ball was NOT as heavy as VC98 and perhaps due to swinging faster it was bothering my arm a bit.
    So my Q is how is the comfort of the new Vcore compared to the '21 and the Ezone? Thanks!

    Which model of the new VCores do you guys prefer? How are they with one-hander? Flat and touch shots? And do any of them beat out the Extreme auxetic MP?

    • @ph-tennis
      @ph-tennis  Рік тому

      Hi John,
      Both really good rackets so very much depends on personal preference.
      We strongly suggest trying them both and seeing which one feels better for you.
      98 more control - 100 more power.
      No difference for a one or two hander, more dependant on play style.
      We were pretty split to be honest as we love the Extreme but these were both great too.
      Fortunately, this means it's hard to go wrong!

    Hello, nice video. In terms of control, maneuverability and arm comfort (I have some elbow problems) which racket is better Vcore 98 2023 or Tecnifibre Iso 305? Your answer is important for me thanks

    • @ph-tennis
      @ph-tennis  Рік тому

      We couldn't possibly say sight unseen. There are far too many variables. Tennis Elbow could be a consequence of string type / tension, grip size, grip quality. The weight of the particular frame. Your posture, muscle imbalances or general technique.
      That being said. The vCore has a thicker frame, so is likely to be more comfortable and absorb more shock. Whereas the Isoflex is more manoeuvrable. Give them both a try / make sure all the other variables are appropriate.

    I’m currently using a prince twistpower x100 tour with v-square at around 50lbs. I’m looking for more spin, control and maybe feel. I have a semi western forehand grip and a 4.0 player. Should I get the Vcore 100 or 98?

    I currently have a Vcore 100 2019. I picked up a 98 Ezone 2022 to try and loved it. Power/control were fantastic and loved the feeling. Seemed quite solid compared to my Vcore. Does the new 2023 Vcore feel more like an Ezone now?

    • @ph-tennis

Do you think there is a significant difference for control between that and the 98 or just some? Also, any suggestions on controlling the crazy launch angle?

    In your opinion, if you had to choose one YONEX racquet to go to battle with for DOUBLES only, which would you choose? Would that change if you were 65 years old? I would be grateful for your thoughts.

    • @ph-tennis
      @ph-tennis  Рік тому +2

      Hi Mark - that an interesting (and tricky) question!
      Regardless of age, if you can handle the heavier weight then the Ezone Tour and VCore Pro are fantastic to volley with - obviously useful for doubles - but the whole range has enough stability.
      If you prefer to stay back and play from the back then the VCore might be what you’re looking for.
      For what it’s worth, we did a poll across our team of coaches and the very narrow winner was the Ezone. You can’t say we’re not thorough! 😀

      @@ph-tennis I would love to see a video on this subject. You see why I asked - it is a "tricky question". I was personally confused by which racquet to chose as a 65 year old 5.0 all-court doubles specialist.It's hard for the average player to demo every racquet in the Yonex line - although you have. That is why I asked. Thank you for your input.
