Do you not think that the VCore 98 felt very cheap? I did feel like its plush but I thought it was SUPER SUPER unstable on most high swing speed shots from the baseline.

Omg how much I love all your videos! So insightful and the play test images were fantastic. One quick question, I’m currently in between the pure aero 98 and vcore 98. Kind of sending the former as a more “heavy weapon” but the latter does more stuff better, wondering what your opinion is on comparing the two?

I haven't tried the new 98, but I think you should go with the one that compliments you strength the most. For example, if you forehand is you best shot, choose the racquet which gives you the most confidence in your most important shot.

Awesome content, I am grateful! Coming back now after 3 years, shoulder injury from seizures. Lost a lot of muscle mass on top, can not handle my PS 97 315, v13 with 53 lbs copoly anymore
I need comfort and a bit of power now but I am hesitant with the maneuverability of the 100s. I played very briefly and enjoyed the Ezone 2022 98 as well as the Vcore 100 2023. The control from the PS 97 is unparalleled in my opinion but now I need that extra push and tenderness.

Thanks! The VCORE series if certainly more comfortable than the EZONEs. The VC100 doesn't offer the control you probably want, so I would look at the VCORE Pro 100. Its kind of in between the specs of most 100s and 98s. Bigger head, thinner beam than other 100s which should help you with the control you've been missing from your Prostaff.

Upgraded to the 100 ‘23 from the ‘21. Better feel, don’t need to swing as fast, and loads of spin, power, and control. Strung with PTFire at 43lbs, PTDrive at 43lbs (can go lower as you have to provide the power to get power), and PTPro at 47lbs, and spot on with other specs. Swing weight depends on string and all of those strings ranged from 323-329. Agree with this review.

If you care about improving your tennis, I don't think you should. Its hard to improve your game when you have to think about adjusting to a new racquet. If you just like to have fun with different racquets, I think the VC100 is very fun to hit with and will give you a much more spin oriented experience than the EZ100. Its a lot easier to hit those loopy shots that explode off the baseline with spin when using the VC100.

I have tried vcore 98 2023 and vcore pro 97 310g...I like them both but I can't decide wich one to buy, cause they are so different and each has its own advantages. Vcore is really fast and spinny but it's very easy to sail the ball long as it is not so controlable. On the other hand vcore pro is really reliable and super control and accuracy but I sometimes struggle to produce spin and response to harder shots... What would you suggest to a intermediate player with one handed backhand playing on clay? 😊

Chose the racquet which extenuates your strengths as a player. Go with the one that helps you play your game. If you look at the racquets of the GOATS (Roger, Rafa, Nole, Serena) their racquet setups are all based around their strengths as players, with the idea that they'll win more points with their strengths than they would lose with their weaknesses.

    • @TennCom

I think you should stick with you current setup as-is. I know its irritating to have your string move around, but polyester strings will risk tennis elbow and wrist injury at your level. For your tennis' sake, I recommend trying to find that extra spin within your technique to get the extra control you need. When I was a beginner, I used a 100 square inch racquet too, and I really wasn't ready for something more control oriented until I had achieved many years of improvement around NTRP 4.5. I haven't tried the new PA 98, but the VS felt like it worked better for flatter attacking players. The PAVS is much more stable and more powerful than the VCORE, though the stringbed is still quite consistent. I did find it hard to "loop" balls with the PA98, which is why I'm suggesting that it works better for attacking players who like to take the ball early.

It was incredibly disconnected from the ball --- vague is the word I would probably choose --- and its spin potential was pretty bad. (Far worse than the Extreme Tour, for example.) I really wondered how anyone could even consider it a spin racket. To make matters worse, it is the only racket I've ever used to give me tennis elbow; off-center shots on the prior VCore were terrible, with its very stiff hoop. It's interesting to hear that perhaps the latest gen fixes these problems in the 98. More comfortable, and better spin? More connected? Sounds too good to be true, but I'll have to give it a try.

What makes you say that about spin? On paper, almost everything leans in the VCORE's favour.

I use extreme tour 360+ for almost 2 years and I tried vcore 98 2023 with Yonex poly tour pro strings. As for me, vcore is slower through the air than extreme tour and does not generate so much spin.

    Compared to extreme?
Been using mp lite auxetic. So nice.
Came from speed pro g360+, too heavy tho solid. Reverted back to speed mp lite g360+.
100 in headsize w lighter frame is perfect unless ego is in play.
    Makes game easier to play.

If you are coming from the Speed line, I think you will like the VCORE 100 better than the Extreme MP because its got more of the soft plushness than you can get in the Speeds. Extreme feels noticeably firmer, though control is more predictable and power is more free.
