Just started jiu jitsu for a few months now, you’ve got the best content on UA-cam. Finding myself spending all of my spare time watching your videos. Subscribed!
5:02 - “Always put yourself in bad positions in training, so you know how to work out of those.” Very sound wisdom to learn the easy way, and a lesson I’ve always applied to my rolls in the past.
i was listening to the ufc matches from london yesterday (my tv service was turned off after DISH was hacked and it resulted in a dispute with my account, honestly no fault of my own so i said, screw it, i'll keep it off and save the $130.00 or so a month)...and one of the earlier matches it was "your winner, as a result of an arm-triangle..." i immediately thought of the escapes from this video. i myself was screwed out of competition with a serious medical issue. each day i spend about 15 minutes meditating upon jiu-jitsu moves and pressure pt techniques just as a mental exercise.
Really cool technique....I happened to get caught in an arm triangle this morning. I'll start in an arm triangle tomorrow and try this out. Thanks for the great tutorial. Well done. Now let's see if I can make it work!
That last escape is what I needed. I've been able to trap the ankle but never knew what to do next. I am always learning from you, and I appreciate all of your content. It's cool how I'll pickup a thing or two rolling, then after watching yours and others videos have a more complete systematic approach. Thanks again!
Thanks Sensei Great video again Always learnt new stuffs from your vids!! I like your teaching style, it's clear, shortcut and comprehensive, 4 moves with details in only 5 mins
Great vid. Yet another position that seems inescapable that is actually not. And it's good to hear even BJJ black belts undergo the "helium effect" on their voices while they teach. :)
Thank you so much for the advice at the end. I am not a very competitive person when it comes to training but never thought of putting myself in a bad position to work from there. I have question that is kinda related to that. I have this one guy in class who just wants to win every roll and we have been training for a very long time together and since he is on the heavier side he did so in the beginning but now being a little more experienced I'm starting to see more and more openings because he is relying on his strength more than actual techniques so what should I do? Let him win so it won't hurt his ego or exploit on his weakness?
I have quite a few popular videos on that topic: ua-cam.com/video/pw_9ZZLkkNI/v-deo.htmlsi=VS1IWeW4V8Q7GwJI ua-cam.com/video/FyqaWxyMtLc/v-deo.htmlsi=LTdDzt9z-jVbzQbG
Pretty dope but most people I grapple with drop to their waist so I feel your limited to some of these escapes prior to how your opponents trying to Execute it.
Great video! I got submitted by this only last week!
Man I just love your videos, short concise straight to the point no waste of time. Much love, thank you 🙏🏾
That’s what I strive for, so I really appreciate you saying that.

You have the jiu jitsu bug...I'm sorry to inform you it can be fatal 😅

That's every white belts creed 🤣

Thank for that last minute advice! Put yourself thru tough positions
Please show the very late arm triangle escape from opponent's stretched and long position on his belly
WOW this is excellent and not long winded like most of the other channels. This guy gets right to the point & speaks fluidly fast also.
I really appreciate that. I try to do just that.
Excellent as always

Hope these help!
You make it look so effortless. Really enjoyed this one. Thank you
It totally isn’t, but I’m glad it looks it. Thank you!
3:13 - Thar reversal energy, tho! Great technique! That’s one arm-triangle reversal I have not seen until today.

I really appreciate that, and I hope this helps!
You are not only a genious in this art but you are an awesome teacher. And it motivates me to try to recover myself and go back to bjj.
Oss!!!
I really appreciate that. Thank you and good luck recovering and getting back to it.
Good moves, good advice.
Great details! Thank you for sharing!
Thank you!
Great video!!! Thank you!
My favorite bjj channel by far. I watch your videos when I’m on shift and can’t make it to my gym. Thanks a bunch.
I’m happy to hear that. Thank you for watching them!
Thanks for sharing

Always happy to help however I can!
Thanks Sensei
Great video again
Always learnt new stuffs from your vids!!

Thank you so much! I’m glad you like them and find them useful
Great instruction as usual on a critical topic. But that advice about training from being in bad positions at the end of the video is the real gold. 👍
Great stuff as usual!
Jiu jitsu just never ends. All great escapes 👍🙏🏻
Can you show how to escape arm triangle if that put them triangle on you from mount instead of side control
Amazing
Very nice 🖒👍Thank you 👏
olievera should have watch this 5 minute video before entering the cage😔
For real. It's like he didn't even attempt.
It was hard to watch him tap. 😢
@@FritzLewisFilms he did attempt and then got punished
Lol that man is a black belt if he could of escaped he probably would of
Bro I really appreciate your teaching hopefully I will train with you 1 day lengend
Thank you! I appreciate that!
Great escapes! It is better to try these escapes. as soon as you feel the arm triangle be applied?
Each has its place as far as early or late, but I think trying to avoid and escape as early as possible is most always a good thing.
Thanks
Great vid. Yet another position that seems inescapable that is actually not.
And it's good to hear even BJJ black belts undergo the "helium effect" on their voices while they teach. :)
Thanks for the techniques and wisdom. Oss.
Thank you so much for watching.

Let him win so it won't hurt his ego or exploit on his weakness?
100% go for the openings you see. If he cant handle losing he shouldnt be doing jujutsu
After the sweep, can we go for an arm triangle?
Genius
Need an explanation from the mount
Coach Eli, what if they’re belly down with the triangle? How do I escape that
Same ways still apply. Jason was just being nice to me while I talk, and belly flat down is much harder because you’re late, but these still apply
What if the have the arm triangle and go belly down beside you?
They work the same
What if he is sprawled out with the arm triangle rather than on his knees?
Turn toward him instead of away from him in that case. Always follow the energy.
Legit
charlie olvies missed this class
I see very few escapes from mount
I have quite a few popular videos on that topic:

@@KnightJiuJitsu Thanks awesome video, but I meant armtriangel from mount, maybe I can use same concept
Oliveira tried no counters against Islam`s arm triangle at last weekend`s UFC 280. Even pros can blank under pressure.
I think he might have still been rocked a little too by the time he needed to defend, and because of that he realized it was too late.
Pov you watch this video after oliveira loss😢
Pretty dope but most people I grapple with drop to their waist so I feel your limited to some of these escapes prior to how your opponents trying to Execute it.
For sure. These are just some options from common applications of the head and arm choke. Lots of other things could potentially happen.
NNNNNOOOO YOU CANT SHOW THIS I CATCH PEOPLE IN ARM TRIANGLES ALOT LOL
I WILL HAVE LOCK THEM UP MORE TIGHT NOW LOL
*NO PROBLEM*
