Thank you for always being so transparent with your journey. You are my #1 resource for the inside scoop about CRNA. I'm 7 months away from graduating with my BSN and plan on becoming a CRNA.
Thank you for listing out all these items for hopeful students. Many times I find that people will look at the general tuition cost and assume that's all they need to expect to spend on getting through CRNA school. You didn't mention taking the SEE which many of us were required to take twice ($300 a piece). I definitely spent thousands of dollars in travel and housing for clinical sites. Not to mention the cost of living I spent over three years, and the compounding interest of the loans from day one of school until you graduate. Many grads come out closer to $200k in debt after it's all said and done.
Oh wow I didn't realize other schools had you pay for the see! My school set it up and paid for us. I'm lucky I didn't have to travel for clinical. I can see how that would add up! Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the info I'm contemplating either going to CRNA school or medical school and I think this helps. Been researching while making videos for UA-cam and information here was spot on keep up the good work and great content.
Thanks for the video, it was good to see the cost broken down! I do wish they would make it easier for single people that have to work to go to CRNA school...
Thank you so much for providing this information! I love all of your videos and feel like they are so informative and straight to the point. You must be enjoying just starting out in your career and can't wait to watch more of your experiences!
Great video! Love these vids and save for my daughters. When I went to college ya kinda went in blind, this is awesome. Not sure what my kiddos will want to do as adults but this is way better info for a prospective student than the schools give you. Love the ones w your typical day too. 😊
@@edgardo798 sure! But in the mean time here is some simple math. 100k invested. 150k net (conservative) income. In the first year, she will make a 50% annualized ROI on the initial investment. By year 10, a 31% annualized and 1,400% cash on cash return. This math only works of you don't have student loans nor account for income opportunity lost during school due to only be able to work part-time or not at all. 8% is considered a good, average return by most of the world, which makes this ROI astronomical.
I'm graduating in December from a school in Pennsylvania. My total costs will be about 120K, but I include living expenses in that too. Tuition alone was probably about 80, cost of living for two years was about 40.
Wishing you and your family nothing but blessings and staying healthy! I just wanted to say that your hair looks great, and thank you for making the videos that you make!☺️
It helped me a lot!! THanks : ))) Korean nurse here who has finally decided to go to the States!(used to live in Tx for 3years) It might take a while, but I'm sure I'll get there some day. stay tuned! bwahaha
I love this type of videos so informative!!! Im an lpn/lvn student right now and completed my prerequisite for RN program. I want to go to CRNA someday 🤞🤞... Can you make videos on how to make your application competitive because from what I have research CRNA school is very competitive and so I wanted to prepare for that. Also, maybe videos about the lectures you guys learn at CRNA school , I think that would be a great video to watch. Thanks 🙏
Hey I was wondering how I could job shadow a crna . Like is it something you can just ask someone randomly or like something you have to apply for lol. I know it sounds dumb but I genuinely want to talk to someone in the field . Plus I have tons of rapid fire questions related to the field, personally I find it easier to just ask in person . Ps. I’m currently studying to get my ADN in a local community college and I’m planning a similar strategy to how you did it . Also much love from Texas I love watching you and your husbands videos .
Being someone who has the goal of wanting to go to anesthesia school, this video made me want to cry a little bit. I have 45k in student loans and the thought of being in debt for the rest of my life just because of school is making me pretty discouraged
You’ll be alright. Just work hard and budget. I’ll have 30k debt by the time I graduate & earn my Bsn. I plan to pay it off within the first year of being a new grad nurse. It’s possible! Speak into existence & be positive but also PLAN how you will pay off your debt.
If you go to a school with say a 100k cost, and you come out with 160k in total(because of interest) in loans, it shouldn't be hard to pay off with salary of CRNA. CRNA'S make 160-175k base and you can easily jump to 200k with 1099 + a bit of overtime in a major metro area alone. In rural areas, you can get well over 200k+, so it shouldn't be hard that to pay it off in a few years if you decide to go.
Girl I'm 100k in undergrad debt right now and just got accepted into CRNA school XD I refuse to be a bedside nurse forever. Nursing during COVID, regardless of being with covid positive patients, is just awful. Understaffed, no resources to get things done properly. I would rather be in more debt but happy with my job.
Rhianna Ferial awesome! I’ve been following your videos & admire the way you methodically plotted your course for success & followed through! I feel I’d have to work while in the program, just to maintain the routine life expenses (bills, car payments, housing, health insurance, etc.) I don’t want to have loans of extraordinary sizes to have to pay back. I understand the compensation for CRNAs is “nice”, but no one wants to work just to pay bills, I.e.; loan repayment. Again, thank you for the material, congrats again & please keep the videos coming 👍🏾
Thank you for such an informative and transparent video! It’s so helpful! Were you able to pay outright or did you require loans? If loans, what does the monthly payment on 100k look like?
I start CRNA school in January in Texas. I’m expecting to come out owing around $175,000 when it’s all said and done. I’ve heard SoFi is a good company to use to get your student loans from. Wondering if any of your classmates used them, or recommend getting loans elsewhere?
hey i’ve been thinking about becoming a CRNA and i’m a senior in high school right now. whenever i search up what they actually do it feels unclear to me. the pay and having a more independent role in a hospital environment without having to go to med school are super appealing to me but i can’t quite figure out if being a CRNA is right for me. if you could let me know specifically what you do and how to know if i’d like it that would be wonderful!!
I've heard that they don't prefer schools that are 100% online with no physical campus. But that's nothing official, I always recommend calling the schools your considering and asking!
Hi Rhianna, both my daughters are in their first year of college and want to be Nurses. My youngest wants to be a CRNA, can you make a video about schools and which is the best or are they all the same.
Hello! This might be a dumb question buttttt.... Do CRNA schools look at your gpa that you received while getting your BSN? Or are they more focused on experience/test scores/recommendation ??? Thank you ❤️

Are there any jobs I can get with a associates in science while I’m working on getting my bachelors? Any job recommendations that CRNA schools would like me having?
No and no. You can get grad plus loans which are federal loans by taking the FAFSA, and those loans are disbursed by the school, but the school doesn't offer loans to the students directly. And even if you CAN work (as in, if your program doesn't forbid it) it's neither worth the small amount of money you'll make or your time as the time is better spent studying or decompressing.
Stacie she has other videos where she describes how she was actually able to pay out of pocket, instead of taking loans. All of her schooling, if I am understanding correctly, was paid out of pocket and she took no loans out, which is totally an amazing accomplishment!

There are less expensive schools depending on where you go. I know, it's an overwhelming number!

I have 2 questions.
1. At what age did you start crna school
2. Do international students get loan for crna
Can you do a video on tips for a new nurse starting in the ICU? I am so scared! Lol
